Dr. Yoodong Moon was born in a small rural town in South Korea. Since he was young, he loved to explore and traveled to many countries. He also studied abroad in Australia and Japan. Then he moved to Maryland, where he began his career at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Moon moved to Anchorage, Alaska, and practiced full time as a general dentist for several years, thus gaining broad experience in all fields of dentistry. When his daughter was born, he and his family moved to Palatine to be near his wifes family.
Dr. Moon remains updated on all the latest dental advancements by continuing to attend educational courses and seminars. He also diligently reads professional journals and publications in all areas of dentistry. He has completed a leading implant course, Implant MaxiCourses at Loma Linda University, Endodontic courses at DELendo with Dr. Buchanan, and many others.
He devotes many days to continuing dental education courses, well above the requirements of Illinois law. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Moon and wife, Yun, have a lovely daughter named Adelyn. Dr. Moon enjoys playing golf, soccer, and table tennis, and loves spending time with his daughter.
Dr. Sylvia Kim was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and raised in several cities. After receiving her bachelors degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago, she attended the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Kim considers the Midwest her home and was thrilled to move back after graduation. She is pleased to be serving the Greater Chicago area as a General Dentist. Dr. Kim is passionate about maintaining the oral health of all of her patients, and she is committed to providing her patients with comfortable and quality dental care. In her spare time, she loves cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Best dental office in Palatine:) Dr. Moon and his amazing staff are the absolute best. They've always made time to squeeze me into their busy schedule when I was needing an emergency appointment and they never leave you waiting more than a few minutes in the waiting area. I have to give a big shout out to Jim for his awesome personality, great sense of humor, and being absolutely terrific at his job. Bella is always there with her warm, friendly smile, very dedicated and professional. Then there's Diana who is the best Dental assistant I've ever had. She is so bright and an absolute doll. She is very gentle, patient and extremely smart. If you're looking for a great dentist with affordable pricing and a staff that treats you like family this is definitely the place to go. Thank you so much for taking such good care of me and my smile!

Disappointing to find out that they only take my insurance for kids. There are adults in this world too that need to see the dentist. Smh. What's wrong with the dentist industry

I felt very comfortable from the moment I walked in. The office is very clean and they use modern technology. The assistants, hygienists, and Dr. Moon are friendly and easy to talk to. I had a very thorough cleaning done which was completed with precision and care. I also had a front chipped tooth fixed, which Dr. Moon did a beyond excellent job on. I finally have confidence to smile again because my tooth looks cosmetically beautiful.

Amazing work from Dr.Kim she does amazing work all tho they did say a few things on the website that aren't true like they have pillows and blankets and calming music to listen to so that's all I'm upset about

I've never seen any dentist from entire my life who has 100% FIVE STARS on review, BUT Dr.MOON and his staff did it here. Not only here, but also every patients from other social media say something "He is detail-oriented professional dentist with kind and warm heart for patients no matter what who they are and what brought they are here" One of inspiring experiences I recently had was he's trying to lead his team on top notch excellence by providing patient-centered approach with his clinic staff. I have been going to Dr. Moon since he took over this location and I luv him! He has completed 3 implants for me as well as other typical dental procedures and I have been extremely happy with all the work completed. He luvs his craft and it shows. All the staff are wonderful. Luv them all!

Just went in for follow up appt for more work done on my mouth. The staff is above expectations. Listens to you. Doesn't rush your visit. Totally seems like they care. I have to go back for the actual work in 2 weeks. But the price works and was professional throu the whole time i stepped foot in the door. I would give more stars if i could!

I have been taking my son there for the last few years for his regular cleaning and exam, He had braces for 2 yr and now has retainers for a few more months, My son had the most crooked teeth and now he has the perfect smile!! Dr Moon is an amazing person,, very comunicative and knowledgeable, the long braces process has seemed a piece of cake just because of Dr Moon. The front desk staff and the technicians all are very friendly and soft spoken and gentle on handling patients. The reason for this review after this many years is, I am very sad that I have moved to west chicago and it'll be a 40 mins drive for me to go to Dr Moon, I will be going there for the last appointment soon, I wish Dr Moon had another location near by I will be missing this amazing team!

Had my sealants touched up here after moving to the Chicago area and needing a new dentist. Dr. Moon was awesome and all the staff were personable and professional. Worth the drive from the city for me.

I had a deep cleaning, some fillings , and a wisdom tooth removal. Dr.Moon and his staff are amazing. Very helpful through the entire process. I usually have high anxiety going to the dentist, however the Dr. and his staff made me feel very comfortable. The procedure was painless, I didn't feel a thing. I Highly recommend.
