When I called to make an appointment, they assured me that they worked with my insurance. The day I went there, the secretary literally waited until I was walking out the door to tell me that they did not. Enjoy your surprise bill!

When my orthodontist recoiled in horror at the state of my gums and referred me to Dr. Irene Bokser, I didn't know at the time how lucky I was. Dr. Bokser put me at ease, and successfully performed a very tricky gum graft that healed quickly and was many times less painful than friends' experiences elsewhere. I feel confident that my teeth and gums are in good hands going forward. While I wouldn't necessarily choose a visit to the periodontist over, say, dinner and a movie, I'm always happy to see Dr. Bokser and have no anxiety about my visits. I recommend her without hesitation.

Precision Dental is an appropriate name for this establishment. They are indeed, incredibly precise. It is rare to find a dental office that delivers such impeccable work, while maintaining professional and courteous bedside manner. All of this eases my anxiety from being at the dentist. I used them for years, prior to the pandemic. Due to a change in insurance, I unfortunately had to stop. Upon returning to my regular insurance, I immediately called them to set up an appointment. There is no other dentist I trust, and I was looking forward to being in excellent hands again! As predicted, they were able to solve my issue from the prior dentist' low quality work. Lastly, the office is clean and the staff is friendly. If you have the privilege of utilizing their services, do so!

I have been Irene and Alex patient for at least 20 years. They have been and still are responsible for the excellent health of my teeth and gums. My wife Madeline who is also a long time patience echos my review. They are understandable, very knowledgeable and professional. They care. I highly recommend them.

Never had issues going to Dr. Bokser. In my two years that I lived in Astoria he always did a great job. Front desk is always helpful as well. If you live in Astoria make sure you give them a visit.

Now is probably the right time to write feedback, because I've been visiting to Dr. Alexander Bokser and Dr.Irene Bokser for half a year now :) First of all: My teeth were in really bad shape and I was losing my hope. But here I am now ... I can smile again! And hopefully also eat better pretty soon. It's all worth it. Even some tough words :) They are sometimes a little harsh in their words, but someone like ME deserves it. A stress-free visit every time and a sweet attitude for a sensitive person like me. The money I spend there is worth every penny! I recommend visiting this Dentist who really needs help! They help you! They are very professional and they are doing a very good job. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm back at my review... A few months of hard work and done! I'll add a picture of my new smile and decide for yourself! I'm going to Hollywood now :).:)! This dentist is the best you can find! Dr. Alexander Bokser is a diamond here in New York! Don't whine about the little things, see the doctors' commitment to you, they are professionals! I first came to Dr. Bosker's office in 2019 after not having been to a dentist in years, with a completely swollen face to the point my eye was almost shut, a lot of pain and all the guys at work were telling me how bad it was looking. Even though I had never been there before they told my girlfriend who called that I should come in immediately, and as soon as I arrived they brought me to the back and started work right away. I couldn't believe how serious of an issue I had allowed to happen (they let me know how serious it was even though it probably should have been obvious looking back) and I was and still am very grateful at how much they prioritized me in that situation. I had an immediate feeling of "these are exactly the people I want in a situation like this". After fixing the abscess and a root canal, and fixing the emergency issues, I have been coming back for regular dental maintenance, fillings, wisdom tooth extraction, and catching up for a few years of neglect. The first time I got a teeth cleaning here, I realized I've never actually had a real teeth cleaning before because it wasn't even comparable. In a way I am grateful the abscess occurred because it got me reluctantly in the door of a dentist office, and I am glad that my Union's insurance recommended the Bosker's. Speaking of insurance, the office has even called my insurance to ensure certain items for example a mouth guard are covered or majority covered before I could even ask which I appreciate as well. Because of how serious they are about their work, and the way they handled my initial encounter I felt obligated to come back and knew I was in the best hands in terms of dentists that I've ever experienced. They are very professional, experienced, no nonsense, you know they are good at their jobs and take dental hygiene extremely seriously. The entire staff that I've dealt with from the desk to the assistants has always been friendly and helpful and good at their jobs as well. Coming from someone who did not like going to the dentist or doctor, I would absolutely recommend Precision / Dr. Bosker x2 to anybody as the best you're going to find.

I've been living in Astoria for a couple years, but had opted in the past with dentists closer to work in Manhattan. Never stuck with one for some reason. I finally decided to look for a dentist in the neighborhood and found Dr. Alexander Bokser on Google. I came in a couple months ago for my regular teeth cleaning and it was quick and efficient. I had issues figuring out my insurance when I first arrived at the office, but the receptionist was incredibly proactive and professional as they assured me once we found the info what the next steps would be cost wise. It definitely put me at ease. I have my next check up set up for next January. Definitely recommend! UPDATE: 03/12/21 I went back for my regular cleaning and the staff was stellar, as always. It turned out that I had a cavity and I would have to make another appointment to return. Dr Bokser however saw an opportunity to fit me in immediately after my cleaning and did a great job, in record time. It made my day and I felt super valued as a patient.

These two dentists beat the $%^& out of any others I have seen regarding heavy dental work. I usually have problems numbing entirely, but each time I've gone for an appointment they get me numb perfectly, and fast, and without even using lidocaine before the shot. Somehow it doesn't hurt when they do it. Further, their work is efficient. They break up root canals sanely into 2+ appointments. They take many kinds of typical dental insurance, and can set up reasonable payment terms otherwise. Their office in Astoria (haven't been to Bayside) is nice, comfortable, and well appointed. All steps of the process with them have been great. They seem to understand the 'human factors' engineering required to be working in peoples' mouths without a problem. This is sadly very rare. The atmosphere of the office as well as the techniques they employ show intentional planning to avoid obstacles and discomfort. They're so good, that even with a lack of funds and lousy insurance, they are the only ones I would consider seeing for any kind of serious dental work. They're worth paying out of pocket.
