Dr. Goates completed his dental education at Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry, where he graduated clinically in the top 10 in his class. Dr. Goates graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology and minors in Chemistry & Spanish.
Dr. Van Dyke attended Weber State University and graduated with bachelors in Clinical laboratory Science. She then chose to continue her studies to become a dentist at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.

Dr. Goates was raised in Utah and settled with his family in Arizona to enjoy the sun. He and his wife have been married for 24 years and have five children. He enjoys spending time with them, attending sporting events, golfing, slaloming & most things outdoors. He is an avid University of Utah fan and so is the family.
Dr Van Dyke shares our strong ethical approach to patient care and agrees with our emphasis on high quality dentistry. She truly believes in the importance of continuing education and is currently obtaining education in Botox administration for TMJ pain related patients and Dermal fillers for added cosmetic esthetics.

Dr.Goates and his staff were amazing. They worked around my daughters tight schedule to get her taken care of before she left for college. Very happy with the results of her implant/crown to replace a missing tooth. Very friendly and made sure her tooth looked perfect.

Ever since we found Precision Dental years ago, we have loved everything about them. Dr. Goates is the greatest, nicest man. Recently I had serious swelling of my jaw thinking that it could have been cancer, since I had had oral cancer. He put me at ease by taking Xrays and telling me that it was an abscess caused by infection of a root canal. Praise God! Love them!

Dr. Goates is such an amazing dentist! He does an excellent job, careful & gentle with his work so I'm never nervous about my visits. I always feel I'm getting the very best care when I'm at Precision. His staff is helpful, friendly, highly competent. My cleanings every 6 months are always a nice experience- they do an excellent job!

Went in for my bi-annual cleaning as a first time patient at Precision Dental. I had to reschedule a few times due to conflicts, and they were always accommodating and friendly. Had the most efficient, friendly and informative hygienist who talked me through exactly what they were seeing and taking care of as it was happening. They also did a quick ad hoc Invisalign assessment and referred me to an orthodontist. Wonderful experience in every way. Will definitely plan to make this my permanent dental office.

This is a great office. Everyone is friendly and seems to care about the patients. I had an issue recently and they were able to get me a same day emergency appointment. They treated me quickly and well. I was healed up within days without any issues.

I've been a patient at Precision Dental since ~2016. The atmosphere is warm, inviting and professional. I love my dental hygienist, Christa. I receive quality care from her and Dr. Goates. As an added perk, I receive free teeth whitening after two cavity free evaluations!
