Dr. Steichen graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Prior to dental school he attended the University of New Mexico, and completed his undergraduate education in biology sciences.
Since 1988, Dr. Steichen has happily practiced dentistry in Albuquerque and has had the pleasure of providing dental care to families over the years as they grow. He truly values the collaboration between education, technology, and effective disease prevention. As a commitment to life long learning, he has received additional training in implant procedures, cosmetic dentistry, periodontal surgery, and laser therapies. In addition to managing his own dental practice, he has been an instructor at the University of New Mexico and is a member of both the American Dental Association and the Albuquerque District Dental Society.

Anna has worked with Dr. Steichen from day one! They have been a great working pair for over 2 decades. Anna specializes in insurance billing, financing, and treatment planning. Prior to transitioning into office management Anna also worked as a dental assistant. Anna enjoys spending time with her family and loves spoiling her grandchildren.
Holly has been working in dentistry for over 30 years and has been working with Dr. Steichen since 2006. Holly's long term commitment to dentistry has provided her with a library of dental knowledge and experiences. Holly enjoys spending time outdoors and spending time with her friends and family.
Stacey joined our team crossing over from medicine to dentistry. Stacey specializes in medical billing to ensure patients receive comprehensive dental and medical care that is affordable. She enjoys hiking, camping, gardening and reading.
Katie is our offices lead hygiene clinician and has been practicing since 2009. She graduated with her Associates of Dental Hygiene Sciences from Kirkwood CC in Iowa. She has advanced training in laser and periodontal therapies. When she is not at the office she enjoys spending time with her husband and son.
Christina graduated from the University of New Mexico's Dental Hygiene Program and is local anesthesia and laser certified. Her strong work ethic and energetic positive attitude made her a perfect fit for the team. Outside the office she is a culinary enthusiast, avid fitness aficionado and enjoys any kind of outdoor adventure with her spouse. Since her first day here she has motivated the staff and received rave reviews from patients.
Lindsey earned her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2009 from Pacific University in Oregon, her masters of Dental Hygiene from UNM in 2011 and is an Educational Psychology Ph.D candidate at UNM. Lindsey has been working as a clinician with Dr. Steichen and teaching at UNM since 2009. Outside of the office she loves to spend time with her family.
Angela has been an earned her dental assistant license in 2012. She enjoys learning new techniques and is always looking for new ways to improve her patients health and lives. She works side by side with Dr. Steichen specializing in prosthetics, implantology and restorative dental procedures. When she isn't in scrubs she enjoys and spending time with her family.
Genesis joined our team from UNM where she worked chairside with dental residents and anesthesiologists performing oral surgery on pediatric patients and full mouth surgical cases. Genesis manages the hygiene department ensuring all our patients are healthy both medically and dentally to ensure quality comprehensive care. Outside the office Genesis donates her time to animals in need.
Crystal works side by side with Anna coordinating Dr. Steichen's and the hygiene staff's schedule. She specializes in insurance billing, verification, and treatment coordination. Crystal has worked in dentistry for over 7 years where she started as a dental assistant. In her free time she likes being outdoors and spending time with her family.

My dental office for the past 20 so years has changed so much lately - always a different dentist when I go - that I have been considering changing practices. Dr Steichen was recommended to us by a friend so I called and asked if he was taking new patients. The answer was yes, so I made an appointment for several months later. The new patient exam was very thorough and it was about 2 hours before I actually saw the dentist. Much to my surprise, it was not Dr Steichen! This dentist was nice but I did not want a surprise since that was why I left my old dental practice. And this dentist said I needed a ton of work, including two, possibly three extractions! What??? I take really good care of my teeth and am diligent about regular dental appointments. So why would I all of a sudden need so much work? This office needs to communicate with new patients that the appointment is with a different dentist, not Dr Steichen. On the plus side, the hygienist (Lizbeth) was great.

I highly recommend Precision Dental Care for you dental needs, sleep apnea, Botox treatment. The staff is very friendly, the office is very clean. Dr Steichen is an excellent dentist.

I was looking for a place to get a mouth appliance that rated well and was in my network. Precision Dental and Dr Steichen not only met my criteria, but totally exceeded my expectations. I was impressed by the efficiency and courtesy that was displayed by all. It seemed as if their entire focus was on ensuring my comfort. The examination was done in a very friendly manner with my comfort and ease as their primary goal. The dentist was very friendly and efficient. What impressed me the most about Dr. Steichen was not his efficiency and knowledge, but his integrity. I had a molar in very bad shape that needed to be extracted. After looking at it he recommended that a specialist might be a better solution. He stated that he could extract it, but felt that the specialist would be better and more comfortable for me. The fact that my ease and comfort were his primary concerns really impressed me.

Yesterday, I broke a tooth while playing golf. I called Dr Steichen's office and they told me to come in immediately. Two hours later I was headed home with a new (perfect) crown...amazing! Thankfully, their team was there when I needed help!

I had an dental emergency. They saw me within 2 hours Anna was real helpful. Dr. Steichen was super gentle and friendly. Went back a week later to have the tooth pulled. His assistant Kali was very helpful as well. Will continue to go here for my dental needs.

I was working in the dental profession for over 30 years, when I retired and relocated here to ABQ from Philadelphia. I was super stressed at the task of finding a dentist that I would be comfortable with and that did excellent dentistry. I hit the jackpot with Dr. Steichen! He is amazing! From my first visit, I knew his level of excellence, and his bedside manner is amazing! (Maybe, chairside manner)LOL! I cannot say enough praise for him and his entire staff!

I have been to many dentists here in Abq and I finally found my permanent dentist ! They check for everything and explain in detail what they're doing and what consequences can happen to your gums, teeth, roots ... etc. I highly recommend coming to this office because of how they treat their clients with care.
