From a routine exam and cleaning to full-mouth rehabilitation, our practice is equipped to handle all of your dental needs. To help you understand more about our office, we have included brief descriptions of some of our most common services on this page.

Digital radiography utilizes computer technology and digital sensors for the acquisition, viewing, storage, and sharing of radiographic images. It offers several advantages over the older traditional film based methods of taking x-rays. The most significant of theses advantages is that digital radiography reduces a patients exposure to radiation. Other benefits are that images can be viewed instantly after being taken, can be seen simultaneously as needed by multiple practitioners, and can be easily shared with other offices. Digital x-rays are also safer for the environment as they do not require any chemicals or paper to develop.

An electronic pad, known as a sensor is used instead of film to acquire a digital image. After the image is taken, it goes directly into the patients file on the computer. Once it is stored on the computer, it can be easily viewed on a screen, shared, or printed out.

In addition to taking small, individual diagnostic images of specific teeth or sections of teeth as needed, we also take a single digital x-ray to obtain a two-dimensional view of all the teeth, the upper and lower jawbones, the nasal sinuses and the temporomandibular joints (the TMJ). This extra-oral image is known as a panoramic x-ray. As a simple, comfortable, and fast diagnostic procedure, it produces digital images with minimal x-ray exposure to the patient. Because this picture is taken from outside of the mouth, the only requirement for the patient is to hold still while resting the jaw on a platform in the center of the unit, while the x-ray tube rotates in a semicircle around the head. A panoramic x-ray can be viewed on the computer by the dentist and patient as well as shared with others as needed. A highly valuable diagnostic tool, panoramic x-rays are useful in checking for conditions such as periodontal disease, growths in the jaw, the dental development of the unerupted and erupted teeth, impacted teeth, TMJ disorders and sinusitis.

An intraoral camera is a miniaturized camera that can take high-resolution images inside of the mouth and display them for viewing in real time on a computer screen. It is a pen-sized device that provides an up close, full-color and high-resolution view of the teeth and surrounding soft tissues.

An intraoral camera is a wonderful communication tool that allows the dentist to directly show a patient a close up view of every tooth and the nearby soft tissues. With this technology any areas of concern can be instantly displayed and discussed.

The intraoral camera can also capture individual images that can be saved as part of a patients permanent record. These saved images can be reproduced when needed for use by other dental specialists, a dental laboratory, insurance companies, and others.

By using a soft tissue laser, your dentist can provide gentle care with the ultimate precision. An advanced system of care, soft tissue lasers operate by generating focused light energy to gently and precisely shape or remove the targeted soft tissue without affecting any adjacent areas.

By eliminating direct tissue contact, along with the pressure or any other type of discomfort typically associated with procedures involving a surgical scalpel, soft tissue lasers can minimize the need for dental anesthesia. In addition to the delivery of care that is more comfortable, soft tissue lasers also offer excellent hemostasis to control bleeding during surgical procedures as well as provide quicker recovery and healing times with reduced amounts of post-operative swelling and scarring.

Soft tissue lasers have multiple applications and can be used by your dentist to provide many types of care, including periodontal procedures to treat gum disease as well as recontouring gingival tissues for cosmetic purposes and the placement of dental prostheses. Dental laser technology can also be used in the treatment of mouth ulcerations and viral lesions, the incision, and drainage of abscesses, biopsies, the removal of fibromas, the performance of frenectomies, and for the exposure of unerupted permanent teeth or to uncover dental implants in order to facilitate the placement of a restoration.

A cavitron uses ultrasonic technology, to safely and gently remove any residual plaque, tartar, and debris from between the teeth and gums. More effective than a cleaning that employs hand instrumentation alone, even the most tenacious calculus can be quickly and more comfortably removed with a cavitron.

A cavitron unit uses a steady stream of water coupled with various frequencies of vibration to clean the teeth. This technology not only provides for a more comfortable patient experience, but it also produces less tissue trauma to the teeth and surrounding areas.

By using intra-oral optical scanning devices, the need for patients to have a messy conventional dental impression taken of their teeth is eliminated. Digital optical impressions enable the dentist to more efficiently and effectively obtain an accurate computer generated representation of their patients teeth along with the surrounding tissues. In addition to being much more comfortable for the patient, a digital impression eliminates the need for the dentist to either create a stone model from the impression, or to mail the impression directly to the laboratory for any type of work to be done. Digital impression information is transmitted electronically, significantly reducing the turnaround time of any needed outside laboratory work. Digital impressions are also integral to systems that produce same day, in-office ceramic restorations.

Achieving successful treatment outcomes relies upon using the best diagnostic technology to develop the most appropriate plans of care. With the advanced and versatile imaging capabilities offered by the i-CAT system, its not only possible to obtain detailed 3D views of a patients teeth, jaws, and the surrounding anatomy but also conventional 2D panoramic views when needed. As a best in class high-resolution CBCT scanner (cone-beam computed tomography), the i-CAT system provides the most reliable and accurate images to facilitate precise and effective care.

An exceptionally designed and engineered system, i-CAT imaging system offers minimal-exposure imaging options and can very comfortably obtain distortion-free, detailed views from several angles. The i-CAT system provides essential information for multiple types of analyses, as well as the assessment of maxillofacial disorders or pathology. It is also most useful in surgical planning, including the accurate placement of dental implants.

The DIAGNOdent pen is a valuable diagnostic tool that aids in the detection of dental decay. Used as an adjunct to a comprehensive clinical examination and radiographs, the DIAGNOdent pen is especially helpful for identifying cavities that lay beneath the surface of the tooth, in the pits, fissures, and proximal areas. Using laser fluorescence to differentiate between healthy and decayed tooth structure, the DIAGNOdent pen is over 90% accurate in detecting early cavities. By facilitating the detection of cavities in their earliest stages, this precise and gentle technology helps to preserve the greatest amount of healthy tooth structure.

What is CAD/CAM Technology? CAD/CAM stands for computer-aided design & computer-aided manufacturing. CAD/CAM software supports comprehensive case planning, including the precise analysis of diagnostic data along with the design and fabrication of restorations such as dental crowns and bridges as well as other oral appliances.

No Messy Dental Impressions CAD/CAM systems utilize comfortable optical scanning technology to obtain a virtual dental impression of the patients teeth and occlusion. This data is used to generate a detailed 3D intraoral image and create a computer-generated model on which a restoration or appliance may be designed.

More Efficient, Precise & Comfortable Care! The 3Shape TRIOS Intraoral Scanner optimizes every aspect of care. From obtaining the most accurate and comfortable 3D digital impressions to the generation of dental models for the custom fabrication of orthodontic aligners, appliances for the treatment of sleep apnea, and dental prostheses such as crowns, the 3Shape TRIOS Intraoral Scanner provides a more pleasant patient experience while producing more predictable results and better outcomes of care.

A Slender Scanning Wand Captures Detailed Intraoral Views The 3Shape TRIOS Intraoral Scanner enables dentists to obtain detailed 3D digital impressions of a patients teeth and occlusion to deliver the most precise, efficient, and comfortable care. A guided scanning process using an ergonomically designed wand captures and integrates multiple intraoral images from every angle to generate highly accurate 3D impressions. The 3Shape TRIOS Intraoral Scanner provides a far more pleasant office experience for the patient than the conventional methods of taking dental impressions. Compatible with multiple digital systems, the 3Shape TRIOS Intraoral Scanner allows for the seamless and efficient generation of dental models for the custom fabrication of dental prostheses such as crowns as well as orthodontic aligners. With the 3Shape TRIOS Intraoral Scanner, the practitioner consistently obtains the most precise information for more predictable results and better outcomes of care.

At the office of Precision Dental Care, patient care and comfort are our top priorities. We strive to make dental care a stress-free experience and offer options in care to help reduce feelings of anxiety or apprehension.

The Alpha-Stim electrotherapy device provides a drug-free adjunct to care, supporting pain management and the reduction of anxiety during dental visits. By delivering a safe and gentle level of microcurrents, this small, therapeutic device modulates nerve cell signals to naturally reduce stress and promote relaxation without drugs or medication.

By safely and gently modulating activity associated with the brains alpha rhythms, this easy to wear device not only reduces anxiety, but it also controls the sensation and perception of particular types of pain. In addition to its applications for anxiety reduction and the relief of acute or chronic pain, Alpha-Stim may also be used in the treatment of insomnia, depression, headaches, TMJ disorders, and to alleviate muscle tension.

A Gentler Approach to Care The Wand is a computer-controlled STA (single-tooth anesthesia) delivery system, which offers a more comfortable alternative to conventional injections for getting a tooth numb before a dental procedure. Using a computer-assisted platform for the delivery of local anesthesia, The Wand controls both the injected flow rate and pressure of the anesthetic as it is being provided for a more accurate, consistent, and painless patient experience.

In addition to offering a less intimidating and pain-free approach to the delivery of local anesthesia, The Wand eliminates the lingering numbness of the tongue, lips, and face that typically follows dental procedures performed with conventional syringe injections.

With the provision of painless as well as rapid onset single tooth anesthesia, this technology significantly reduces patient anxiety, thereby making dental work a more positive and comfortable experience. In the presence of rapid onset local anesthesia and the absence of collateral numbness, the Wand allows dentists to perform bi-lateral dental procedures that would otherwise require extra visits.

Working with Operating Microscopes enables our dentist to perform procedures with the ultimate precision. Dental operating microscopes provide superior illumination and magnification to facilitate maximum visualization of all aspects of the operating field. With dental operating microscopes, any defects that can impact the treatment and prognosis of the involved teeth such as cracks, root fractures, calcified canals, as well as canals with challenging anatomy can be visualized with the utmost clarity. And, when preparing teeth for restorations, the capacity of operating microscopes to magnify the work field enables the dentist to preserve the maximal amount of healthy tooth structure.

With a clear and up-close view of details that are not readily visible to the naked eye or sufficiently magnified with dental loupes, operating microscopes support the precise delivery of care as well as more predictable and consistently successful treatment outcomes.

Helping to Ensure Safe, Efficient and Comfortable Care The Isolite dental isolation system from ZyrisTM is designed with every aspect of treatment in mind and to support the safe, comfortable, and efficient provision of care.

Tissue Retraction, Moisture control, Illumination and More The Isolite mouthpiece serves as a bite block to keep the mouth comfortably open for the delivery of care. While gently propping the jaws open, the Isolite mouthpiece also retracts both the cheek and tongue to prevent them from getting in the way of treatment as well as getting inadvertently injured. In addition to these features, the Isolite mouthpiece contains a shield that protects the back of the throat from any dental debris that may be swallowed or aspirated. With the added benefits of dual-channel suction and a built-in illumination to light up the operating field, the Isolite dental isolation system offers improved moisture control and optimum visibility throughout every procedure.

In some cases, when complex restorations or cosmetic dental work is required, its helpful to visualize the potential outcome of care. To see what the results may look like as well as to help ensure proper fitting restorations, we may recommend and fabricate an accurate model of your mouth, which is known as a wax-up. As a replica of your teeth, a wax-up typically includes a simulation of the proposed restorations. By viewing a wax-up, any modifications or changes to the proposed restorations can be decided before your dental work is sent to the lab for fabrication.

Our goals are to achieve cosmetically pleasing, healthy, and long-lasting outcomes of treatment. At Precision Dental Care, we establish partnerships based on trust with our patients and pay close attention to their smile goals and expectations of care.

The ViziLite Plus system provides your dentist with an additional and effective mechanism for identifying, evaluating, monitoring and marking abnormal lesions in the mouth that may be indicative of the dysplastic changes that are associated with the development of oral cancer. Since early detection and diagnosis of oral cancer can significantly improve the outcome of treatment, ViziLite is considered an important adjunct to periodic, conventional head and neck examinations.

A painless and fast oral cancer screening with the ViziLite Plus system may be combined with your regular checkup visit. After rinsing your mouth with a special cleansing solution, the dentist will simply pass the ViziLite Plus light over the tissues in your mouth. If there are any abnormal changes to the mucous membranes lining the mouth and throat, the area will appear in a different color from the surrounding healthy tissues. In the event that anything is detected, further diagnostic assessments will be recommended as needed.

The ATLANTIS Conus concept provides an effective and satisfying solution for edentulous patients who have opted to rebuild their smiles with a removable prosthesis. Offering an innovative approach to the replacement of missing teeth, the ATLANTIS Conus concept is designed as implant-supported and friction-retained alternative to conventional dentures, offering patients a more stable, secure, and comfortable removable prosthesis. Unlike conventional dentures that require bulky palatal coverage, the Atlantis Conus concept uses a slender horseshoe shape thats easy to wear and facilitates optimal speech along with all aspects of oral function.

While the Atlantis Conus concept offers a removable solution for the replacement of missing teeth, it also provides the comfort and confidence of permanent fixed restorations. I ABSOLUTELY love this place. The workers are great, they treat you like as if you were family and even friends. They know no stranger. They love starting conversations with you and get to know you. They make you feel at home, honestly. As soon as I walked in today, they were like Hi Tabatha how are you.? They knew who I was immediately, yes I've been there a few times, but with all the patients they see. They still remember who you are.! They always make sure you're comfortable, and always always ask if you are doing okay, I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I will never have another dentist/assistant dentist again. They are literally the best. Dr Ochoa, Nicole, Dannie, and all the other ones that have worked with me, they are absolutely amazing (I'm not too good with names, but I remember faces) Now, if I ever move, I don't care how far it is, I will drive just to have them as my dentist. That's how great they are.!
