Dr. Williamswas born in Jamaica where she attended the University of the West Indies. She obtained her Bachelor Degree in Chemistry and Management. She then attended Howard University College of Dentistry where she obtained her dental degree, graduating on the Dean lists with various departmental awards. She continued on to obtain Post-Doctoral training in Pediatric Dentistry, where she served as Chief Resident for her department.
Dr. Williams is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Dr. Williams now maintains her Board Eligibility Status with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
She participates in numerous community projects, local and internationally, as she likes giving back to the community. Dr. Williams speaks at schools and local clubs in the Springfield area, giving information on oral health care and careers in dentistry. She also sponsors Springfield area youth sports team. She enjoys all aspects of pediatric dentistry and maintains hospital privileges at Childrens National Medical Center and Pediatric Specialists of Virginia. You will find her dedication and detailed oriented approach to patient care an asset.
Dr. Kenneth M. Hrechkaspecializes in the comprehensive orthodontic care of children and adults. Dr. Hrechka is a graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School and is a Board Certified Orthodontist. Dr Hrechka is a certified Invisalign Premier Provider. He has been practicing in our Springfield office for over twenty years. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, and a former president of the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists. He has been a three-term delegate to the American Association of Orthodontists. Currently he serves as a councilor for the Council on Orthodontic Practice for the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Hrechka is also a current counsellor for the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontists.
Dr. Latoya M. Barhamreceived her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC. She went on to complete a two year residency in Pediatric Dentistry also at Howard University in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. In 2008, she obtained a Diplomate status by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, the highest level of educational excellence in her chosen specialty. As a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Barham not only believes that oral health is essential to total health and well-being, she also believes that all children, regardless of race, creed, religion or socio-economic background, deserve quality dental care filled with compassion and done with a smile!
Dr. Barham is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and its local chapter in the District of Columbia, and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, National Dental Society, of which she was inducted as a dental student. Currently, Dr. Barham balances her career as both a clinician in private practice in Northern Virginia and as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Howard University College of Dentistry where she also serves as a coordinator for pre-doctoral education.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Barham loves anything homegrown, especially her Atlanta Falcons football team! In her spare time, Dr. Barham is an avid runner, having completed multiple 10Ks, one half-marathon, and a Spartan Obstacle Course Race.
Jodie Smith has recently joined our practice and currently serves as a Business Co-ordinator. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Technology, Jamaica. She has extensive years of experience as a Business Administrator and prides herself in delivering consistent and professional service. Mrs. Smith enjoys a wide range of hobbies which includes cooking, gardening, reading, and is always seeking after new adventures and spending time with her teenage daughter Kimberly.

I am blown away by so many things! 1. Staff is very professional and kind-hearted. I have two kids, one of them being very anxious. The from the moment we walked in the door they were interacting with them in such a compassionate way. Even during her cleaning and check up they were constantly engaged with her, making her feel comfortable. (The sunglasses were a huge plus!) 2. The space. You can tell it was set up with kids in mind. TVs on the ceiling to keep kids occupied. Huge murals of sea creatures. The teeth-cleaning area looks more like a spa! Multiple chairs make it easy for sibling to be together. They also have other rooms for treatments that need more privacy. 3. Dr. Williams. She is amazing!! Listens with great care, explains with clarity, and her temperament with the kids is so sweet. 4. Logistics. Checking in and out is so easy. I love they they are very transparent about estimated costs and even print out the information for you, showing proposed treatments (if needed) and which teeth. And this was our first time!

Dr. Williams and Dr. Barham are AMAZING! The entire staff from the front desk, the dental assistants and the doctors are wonderful. Everyone in the office is kind, gentle and caring. They help keep my children calm during their dental appointment and everyone leaves with a positive experience. I love the friendliness and cleanliness of this office. I highly recommend. 5 stars aren't enough .

Worst experience for me and my daughter!! They overcharged my insurance!! You pay $32 for the 1 oz travel sized toothpaste and toothbrush that you get at every dentist appointment. They charged $80 for "behavior therapy" and when i asked what kind of therapist talked to her durring the appointment that i had been with her at, they explained that them "telling and showing the patients their next procedural steps is considered an extra step in making sure patients aren't apprehensive" they said that them telling me that she was great and ready for school and a good listener was also part of the $80 therapy charge because its extra "TLC". They didnt explain anything about why they wanted to extract baby teeth- when i asked for an explanation for the extractions, they acted like i was an idiot and explained that the extraction meant that a tooth was being pulled. I was not asking for the definition of extraction!! We both came to the conclusion that i should find a different dentist because of our disagreements. I would never go back here or recommend anyone to go here!! They are pending investigation for insurance fraud.

It read an experience of a lifetime. As a parent, we never won't to see our kids in pain or tears. The entire staff ensured my son (age 3) was comfortable and unafraid. They were awesome and I recommend them to anyone and everyone just like Precious Smiles was recommended to me...
