Dr. Rubano is a graduate of the prestigious Loma Linda University Dental School. She is relentless in her pursuit of providing the most relaxing, conservative, and efficient approach in caring for her patients. Listening, along with her gentle touch, are her trademarks in providing only the most current and personal care. When she is not in the office, Dr. Rubano and her husband love to hike, run, and keep busy attending their childrens soccer games.
Dr. Smith is a graduate of the Creighton University Dental School, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He has completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Camp Pendleton, CA, where he gained extensive experience in all areas of dentistry. Since then, Dr. Smith has been serving his country in the United States Navy and, most recently, aboard the USS John C. Stennis, where he took care of all the dental needs of the sailors on board. When he isnt practicing dentistry, Dr. Smith loves to spend time making memories with his two daughters.
Dr. Tran earned his Dental Degree from the School of Dentistry at the University of Washington in Seattle. He strives to get to know each of his patients as individuals to help them attain the best oral health treatments possible. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with his family and doing outdoor activities, including hiking, kayaking, and canoeing.

Called at 5:30pm today to schedule, and although they close at 7pm, they are already closed right now. Also, when I try to access their website, there's a fraud warning. I cannot access their website because of the risk.

STAY AWAY from dental hygienist Paullet. The worst pain I have felt in a tooth cleaning. Had to recover for days from a painful anesthetic injection. She proceeded to ask me "oh no well what did I hit, it wasn't your tongue was it?" She then said "maybe I hit a nerve." None of my gums on my lower or upper jaw were numb at all, she proceeded to give me more anesthetic which was painful again! Mind you I should not be feeling anything, I felt everything! When I grunted in pain she would step back and make a huge loud sigh. Then finally said "ok my nerves are shot!" I got home to find my entire face from scalp, forehead, entire ear, towards the side and back of my neck and throat numb for 4.5 hours. The next morning deep pain at the injected area. Called to voice my concern and Dr.Smith said this was all normal. NOT NORMAL!!!! Half your face should not be numb when you get home! You should not feel pain in a deep cleaning or have to recover days later from pain of anesthetic Injection. I had two root canals done at this place and the other side of my mouth cleaned prior and nothing hurt like this. Worst pain I've ever felt and very disappointed that my concerns weren't taken seriously.

I have been going to Prairie Dental Care for years. They are always so friendly, I really like their location, it is always super easy to schedule/reschedule, and they have a clean, nice facility. Today I missed my appointment and they squeezed me in same day. Doctors and hygienist (and all staff) are always exceptionally friendly.

I started going here about a year ago. The hygienists are beyond AMAZING. After a cleaning My dentist Dr. Smith mentioned straightening my front teeth with clear correct. I got the quote, got a good deal through insurance so went through the process. I'm about 6 months in treatment and i lost a tray so i called the office they were so friendly and didn't make me seem like a inconvenience. They reordered my trays and gave me clear instructions what to do in the mean time. A few weeks later I lost another tray.. ( Have a lot of moving parts) and just realized that for my life style clear correct probably was not my best option. I dreaded going in to see the dentist. Worried of his frustrations, as he put a lot of work in through scans and paper work to get all this treatment going for me. When i arrived he was so kind and talked to me about alternatives.. Like traditional braces, and even is trying to switch me for my convenience for as little of a price difference as possible. I've been to this office several times and i've never had a bad experience with anybody!

Awesome team. My new patient cleaning and exam were smooth and painless, the prices (for cash/uninsured) were very reasonable. All of the staff, Dr. Included, were beyond friendly. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend this facility to anyone looking for high quality dental care at an affordable price.

While I personally haven't used the services here, though I was there when my roommate used them. The Good: Staff there were quite friendly, polite, and I dare-say a bit charming in their own ways. They seemed to understand my friend's concerns, needs, and even came up with a plan to get his teeth to a much healthier state. They work with you to set up payment plans I'd call quite reasonable. Where they could improve: My biggest lamentation is them not taking the State-Dental. I love everything about this place, but having a fixed income and enrolled with the government medical insurance makes this place out of reach for me. That sucks. More of an issue with the layout of the parking lot, this place can be tricky to maneuver in/out of. I wish something could/would be done about that, though that's unlikely.

Update: 2/28/22. The office called to inform me their computers had not picked up Prairie as a preferred provider for Delta Dental, as the computer should have. Once she updated the preferred provider status, the crown came in at $551, pretty much what I thought it should have been all along. Excellent customer service. Original post: The care here is fine, no issues there at all. The strange part was insurance related. We used this office for a couple years and then one day, they no longer were in-network for our insurance so, we switched to an in-network provider. My Wife loved Prairie so, this year I changed to Delta Dental High and Prairie is in-network for Delta. I needed a crown, went in and was given an estimate of $690..which sounded like an out-of-network price so I asked them to check my insurance and they still had my old GEHA entered. They called later with my in-network price (Delta Dental) of $790. Why stay in network if out of network is $100 less? It seemed strange. Wishing we'd just stayed put with our previous insurance and provider.

I've never had a better experience at a dentist office. My root canal was practically painless. Great patient care and very comfortable throughout my procedure. Highly recommend giving them a chance if you haven't already.

I've been going to Prairie dental care since moving to Vancouver 8 years ago. Our family has seen all the dentists: Dr Smith, Dr Rubano and Dr Tran. All of them have been working and honest regarding the dental work being done or needing to be done. They have extended office hours beyond 9-5 and even weekends. The hygienists have been wonderful and I recently had Nicole. Tell Kathleen that her patients miss her and happy retirement.

Absolutely WOWED by the excellent service of Dr. Tran!!! I had a crown pop off and I recently moved so I was searching for a dentist near me and was happily surprised to see they did same day crowns. I got my appointment quickly and the office staff was fantastic with me and then I was over the top wowed by Dr. Tran! He was nothing short of AMAZING!!! Kind, Caring, Knowledgeable, Quick and an Artist at his work! I had my appointment at 2:15 and then took a little while for me to register and do all the insurance and paper work and I was out of there before 5pm with a totally new crown that looks fantastic and feels great! I have had difficulty with the numbing meds in the past. I shared this concern with Dr. Tran and he made sure everything was just perfect. I was in and out of there in one appointment and I LOVE THIS PLACE! Ask for Dr. Tran! He was the best!
