We offer advanced cavity detection with digital X-rays and our highly skilled, caring dental team will provide you with exceptional customer service that will exceed your expectations.
Each doctor on our team has an incredible dedication to continuing education to provide our patients with the most modern and proven techniques in dentistry. They are both active members of the American Dental Association and the Iowa Dental Association. Dr. Brad and Dr. Maranda are active members of the Des Moines District Dental Society.
Dr. Brad and some of our dental team travel to El Salvador on an annual basis to provide dental and medical care for patients in rural and underserved communities with other dental and medical teams. In the past, some members of our dental team have attended the Iowa Mission of Mercy, providing dental treatment to underserved populations regardless of income or dental history.
Dr. Brad was born in Iowa City and was raised in the Colfax area. He graduated from Colfax-Mingo High School, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa and attained his doctor of dental surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Iowa-College of Dentistry. Dr. Brad performs nearly all dental services, including 3rd molar (wisdom tooth) extractions with IV sedation, as well as cosmetic procedures. Dr. Brad is currently an adjunct at Broadlawns Medical Center-Dental Clinic in Des Moines, teaching senior dental students during their rotations outside of the University of Iowa dental clinics.
Dr. Brad has been a proud resident of Colfax for more than 20 years and he is quite happy to say his three children were raised in a wonderful community. Dr. Brad is an active supporter of the community and is involved in many local activities within the city and school system. In his spare time, Dr. Brad enjoys hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, woodworking, and cheering on the Hawkeyes.
Dr. Maranda was raised in Colfax and graduated as valedictorian at Colfax-Mingo High School. She received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Iowa State University in 2009 and her DDS degree from the University of Iowa-College of Dentistry in 2013. During dental school, she was the recipient of the Academy of Esthetic Dentistry-Student Award of Merit, which awards a senior dental student for the pursuit of excellence in the field of esthetic dentistry. Dr. Maranda performs nearly all dental services and stays up-to-date on the latest dental procedures and techniques.
In Dr. Maranda's spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and husband, cheering on the Cyclones, trout fishing, camping, and playing in multiple slowpitch softball leagues throughout the summer and fall.
Kiana grew up in Lake City, Iowa and graduated from Southern Cal High School. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2015 from the University of South Dakota. Kiana chose a career in dentistry because she has always enjoyed going to the dentist and she enjoys helping people improve their oral health. Kiana enjoys crafting, spending time with family and friends, playing volleyball and volunteering.
Jennifer is a dental hygienist and a Colfax native. She received her degree and license from DMACC in 2011, and has been a member of our team since graduating. She chose a career in dentistry because she wanted to provide a service for others. She enjoys getting to know her patients and helping to make their dental experience a positive one. Jennifer is married to Doug and they have two sons, Tucker and Cody. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking, and cheering on the Cyclones.
Hygienist Brenda grew up in Prairie City and attended PCM High School. She went on to Des Moines Area Community College for her Dental Hygiene Degree. A Fun Fact about Brenda: She has never had a cavity!
Brenna grew up in Runnells, Iowa and currently lives in Colfax, Iowa. She attended Southeast Polk High School and went on to attend Des Moines Area Community College where she earned her Registered Dental Assistant Degree in 2011. Brenna & her husband Derek have one daughter, Piper. Some of Brenna's favorite things to do outside of being a dental assistant are knitting, crocheting, and playing card games with her family. Brenna also loves traveling and has traveled all over the United States and also to Spain, Ireland, and Scotland.
Mallory was raised in Newton and graduated from Newton High School. She earned her dental assisting degree in 2017 from Des Moines Area Community College and she went on to become an expanded functions dental assistant. Mallory and her husband Matt have two dogs and three cats that keep them busy! Outside of work, Mallory enjoys hunting, fishing, shooting, camping, horseback riding, kayaking and running.
Missy has been an assistant since 2004. She moved to Colfax in 2007 when she met her husband Adam. Together they have two young daughters that keep them very busy. Missy loves spending time outdoors with her family fishing, riding bikes, gardening and helping her husband farm. Missy's favorite part of her job is getting to help people smile again.
Courtney is a Colfax native, and attended Colfax-Mingo Schools through graduation. She received her license in dental assisting from DMACC and a BA in Human Service from Buena Vista University. Courtney has been with Colfax and Prairie City Dental Services since 2005, first as a dental assistant and currently as the patient care coordinator for our Prairie City office.
She and her husband Brian have three children together: Emmalyn, Lucas and Coraline. When she isn't at the office, you can find Courtney reading, chauffeuring her kids to their activities, or kayaking and hiking with her family at Quarry Springs.
Patient care coordinator and dental assistant Brittany was born and raised in Prairie City, Iowa. She attended Prairie City-Monroe High School and then went on to attend Des Moines Area Community College where she obtained her dental assistant degree in 2014. Brittany enjoys spending time with her husband Zach and dogs Kevin andWillie. A fun fact about Brittany is that she loves going to the Iowa State Fair.
Kinze was born and raised in Prairie City, Iowa. She attended Prairie City-Monroe High School and then went to attend Des Moines Area Community College where she obtained her CNA license. Kinze enjoys spending time with her husband Clint and cats Lucky and Shady. A fun fact about Kinze is that she is also a licensed Esthetician.

My 5 year old was really scared as it was her first dental appointment. Everyone was very helpful and explained everything to her which helped her relax! She is now extremely excited for her next visit! I would definitely recommend them!

Love Dr Maranda and her staff!! They do an amazing job! When I needed a tooth pulled I barely felt anything and it was done so quickly!
