Can I get a witness . As Angie the office manager told me I was unable to speak with Dr or hygienist with a question she was unwilling to answer. "I am the Ofc Mgr. I am in Charge of Everything in the office. It all comes to me what I say goes including Dr. Genevieve" With that service I will not be seen at Powatan Dentistry. Dr.Genevieve looks so sweet. I had a very bad conversation the last 10 minutes of my day the day before my appt. It is troublesome speaking with someone who is repeatedly using 'again' I am an advocate for my health concerns . I have to use profalatic prior to visit. On top of a dose for uti. Being a transplant patient and a new patient I was prepared for my visit. But. "Do I have the ability to get a regular cleaning and then schedule deep cleaning later if need be? So I wont take my antibiotics with this Ciproflaxin and Amoxicillan. I get a standard response. You have to be seen. There is a xray and exam. This is not my first time to a dentist. But (4) 500mg Amoxicillan 1 hour before including a course of Ciproflaxin is alot of meds for a kidney transplant patient. I take precautions. Angie denies telling me "I don't have time to answer the same quest'ions ". She did. She denied saying that and she laughed Speaking out to someone "Did I say that? " I Have a witness" she boasted. That is what I heard. Am I crazy No... She also made a point of answering the phone the 2 times I called. Once to ask for Dr. Then to cancel. Want to avoid conflict? I confirmed my appointment. But Angie asked me a few times if I intend to keep my appt. Why wouldn't I respond. I won't be seen byAngie for treatment I thought. But I did cancel my appt. I waited 6 weeks for the appt. I called my dr for pre med, and had to request a letter from my Dr stating it was necessary Then ask them to send it. I purchased my medication , drove and pick it up, downloaded , printed and completed new patient forms. All of that took time from Dr. and nurse and me for this treatment. I was being cautious. Oh well. I was polite and had a wonderful day prior to this conversation with Angie. I was in tears afterwards. That was a very conflicted conversation. I am disappointedinwritingthis reviewbut I use Google reviews to guide my choices. I wish to do the same.

They are so patient and kind. I had a rough time with a nerve during a root canal, they consoled me and comforted me. They are definitely gentle and compassionate.

Went to see the dentist last Thursday after being in pain for months. Stated to the dentist that I was in excessive pain and that I needed a tooth pulled. When I get there I was prescribed a seven day prescription for azithromycin. I informed the dentist at that time that I had taken Tylenol and ibuprofen but it was not easing the pain and I was told that I should still take ibuprofen because the antibiotics would ease the pain and that my appointment for a follow up would be on the 5/18. Received a call today that I would need to reschedule my appointment even though I am still in pain and the antibiotic is not helping until 5/30 because the dentist has a emergency on 5/18 that will last two hours. No one cared that I was still in pain or that the antibiotic was not working or the ibuprofen. Let's not fail to mention that I have congestive heart failure and my blood is conspressure is constantly elevated from the pain. So now I still have an infection in my jaw....no more aniboitics and no appointment in sight because of a schedule emergency. I would not recommend them at all

I had an appointment scheduled to have the work done to begin a crown. I received a call that the appointment needed to be rescheduled, but it was for a cleaning? Front desk girl gives you an appointment card with one date and time listed, you receive an e-mail appointment reminder with a totally different date and time listed, and when you call to verify the appointment, you're given a totally different date and time than the previous two. The dentist and other staff are friendly, however, the scheduling is very disorganized.

Most of the ladies that work there are really nice but the one I had was a little bit irritable. I also had made a special request be more gentle with the tooth poker claw thing and she was just more rough with it.

Girl up front was rude. Won't wearing no mask. Won't helpful. Also, won't get my business. If you looking for a dentist, keep looking.

Dr DeVera is a sweet person. However the front desk secretary was wearing NO MASK and was unprofessional and not even remotely able to spilt bill a primary and secondary insurance. We left when the last office manager left. After today, we will NEVER go back. Signed, Family of 6.
