Dr.Powers grew up in Ridgeley WV, a small town of 700 in the eastern panhandle. He graduated from Frankfort High School in 1979. Dr. Powers graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1987. While attending WVU Dr. Powers was a member of 'The Pride of West Virginia', the WVU marching band. He began private practice in 1988 in Fort Ashby WV and Keyser WV while clinically teaching in the Dental Hygiene Program at Alleghany College in Cumberland Maryland. Following arelocation to Morgantown WV in 1989 Dr. Powers taught at the West Virginia University School of Dentisty in Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. In 1997 Dr. Powers left the WVU Dental School Faculty as the Dean for Clinical Services and elected to happily settle in Parkersburg WV.

I called to make an appointment last fall as a new patient. I was told he was behind because of being closed due to Covid. I was put on a waiting list to be called...never called. Called twice, told they are working on the list. Never called. I'm done.
