Dr. Austin C. Powell is a pediatric specialist. He completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Alabama, and continued his education at The UAB School of Dentistry, where he earned his DMD. He went on to complete a two year pediatric dental residency at Children's Memorial Hospital, Northwestern University in Chicago, where he served as Chief Resident in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Austin is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
During his pediatric training, Dr. Austin obtained extensive experience treating the oral health of children, adolescents, and patients with special needs. Dr. Austin has advanced experience in minor and complex procedures, oral conscious sedation and nitrous oxide, as well as operating room procedures. He holds clinical privileges at The Children's Hospital of Alabama.
