Dentistry runs in the Franks family. Dr. Franksfather and grandfather were both dentists and he knew from an early age that he wanted to follow in their footsetps.After his ownexperience with braces, he decided to specialize inorthodontics.
Dr. Franks, his wife Dusty, and their young son Hudson live in upstate South Carolina. In and out of the office, Dr. Franksfavorite hours are spent with his family. They love hiking, biking the Swamp Rabbit Trail, and paddle boarding.
Dr. Franks is continuously learningaboutadvancementsin the orthodontic field through local, regional, and national orthodontic conferences and meetings. Staying abreast of new technologies, techniques, and research ensures hes delivering the best orthodontic care and results to his patients.
Outside of the practice, she likes staying active. She enjoys running, playing tennis, paddle boarding, spinning, and basically everything athletic! She also enjoys cooking and vegetable gardening.Before working in orthodontics, her career was in television production for ESPN. She traveled the country and parts of Europe to coverNASCAR, tennis, Indy Car, and college football and basketball as part of the live production team. She loves watching tennis and is a huge Roger Federer fan!
As someone who was in Dr. Franks patient chair not too long ago, Leah can ensure that you will love your new smile! Leah says, The atmosphere at Powdersville Orthodontics is unbeatable. Leahs job includes assisting Dr. Franks in the clinic and coordaining patient schedules. For Leah, having braces was a fun and exciting experience. She loves going on that journey with patients and is happy to answer any questions they may have, especially if it's about permeant retainers!
Outside of school and work, Leah loves spending time with her friends and family. Leah enjoys spending her days on the lake, at the beach, or anywhere with water and sunshine. In the fall, she loves drinking hot cocoa and watching Clemson football. Go Tigers!!
In her spare time, Sabrina enjoys being with family and friends, going to church and working out. She is a native of South Carolina andloves fall weather, country music concerts, and trips to the mountains. She has a rescuedog named Molly that is a beagle mix.
Creating beautiful smiles is a true passion for Tanya. She began her career in orthodontics over 20 years ago after graduation from Greenville Technical College with a diploma in Certified Dental Assisting.
Tanya enjoys teaching fitness classes at the YMCA, running, lifting weights and weekend bike rides. She has been married to her high school sweetheart Russ for 23 years. They have 3 children, 3 dogs, and 1 horse.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and generally lasts between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. Powdersville Orthodontics is hands down the best! Dr. Franks and his team care about you like you are family. They work with your schedule and try to make appointments when school is out. They take the time to explain things to the parent as well as the child/patient. Couldn't ask for a better place to take my child for his orthodontic care!

Dr. Franks is a class act! From calling me personally to schedule our appointment to sending us home with his cell phone number in case we needed anything after hours was by far impressive. He even called us the evening my son got his braces to make sure we didn't need anything. The entire staff could not have been more authentic and compassionate. I will recommend them to anyone I know who is looking for an Orthodontist!!!
