Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

I had a great 1st dental appointment at Poway Family Dental. Xrays, cleaning, and Floride applied. Everyone was very professional and they take my insurance.

PSA - FYI that YOU must be clear on your dental insurance coverage. I asked them before I made my first appointment that I had Delta Dental PPO but wanted to confirm they took my insurance AND was considered either in-network and/or premier (so I had better coverage and hardly any out of pocket). They told me yes and I booked. During my appointment they said they needed to get X-rays for new patients. Again, I asked to confirm this should be 100% covered.. as I am used to no copay for both cleanings and exams 2x/year. And, for years I've always been told my teeth were okay and this new dental office told me I had some issues that need to be addressed.. what happened within 6 months of my last cleaning before I moved here??? Then, somehow I ended up getting invoiced! And, again, I've never had to pay something OOP. Well, needless to say I will not be back nor would recommend this group. Thankfully, on a visit back to my previous hometown, I went to them for my next cleaning and no surprise, no issues, no bill. SMH Patient beware.

Let me start to say what an experience. The girls in the front are so kind, welcoming and funny. My son is so happy to see them and Dr. Jaiswal was nice. Dr. Sarah, the Pediatric is out of the office but Dr. Jaiswal took care of us. Thank you

Waiting over a month for a referral. Checking in weekly and getting run around. Each time I was promised a call back, and never got one. Even when marked as "urgent" and promised a call back that same morning ... nothing. Message sent through contact form on website also enters black hole. Very frustrating and unprofessional. Switching to new dentist.

Do not go here!!! This man is an absolute fraud!!! He told my fiance that she had a cavity that needed a crown! On a wisdom tooth!!!! We went for a second opinion, no cavity found!!! This man is a thief!!! He needs to be stopped!!!

I had the best dental experience of my life because of Poway family dental. I am 79. I needed oral surgery to have my teeth removed. Dr Pavol was my oral surgeon. He was very compassionate, and explained everything he was doing. It was done quickly. I was comfortable and am healing without complications. My new teeth look wonderful. if there is a 0 star I would give this dental office a 0 or a minus. The worse experience wether its for scheduling, for billing or communication or even the treatments. they never call you back when they promise you to call back. If you read this please take your kids to another Ortho who understands your needs and respects your time. they will waste your time by calling and calling to just get some basic info. once you start the treatment you are hooked and can't even backup. we told them that we are moving out of state from the get go, but they still screwed us up with Insurance and made us pay for the insurance portion. because they know they will get their money one way or another. so they didn't want to bother and get it from the insurance company. They kept lying to me about when the insurance was going to pay them (sometimes they say they pay quarterly, sometimes it yearly). Please go away from this office.

I have been under the care of Dr Jaiswal "Dr J" and her experience and professional care has been Outstanding. The Staff and office is professionally operated. As a 64 year old patient I would highly recommend Poway Family Dental Group.

What a terrible and personally demoralizing experience today... The young lady in the front office, who handles the customers and billing, has zero skills in dealing with customers. She is rude, arrogant, bossy and lacks the necessary skills in customer service. One suspects she hates her role and takes revenge on the customers... Unable to comment on the dental skills, because I left, after what seems like an age trying to deal with the front office staff... As a general manger of several world wide space and defense facilities, I can only observe one thing..... If I treated my customers the way I was treated today my business would be bankrupt..., I would add that I am handicapped, and showed the receptionist that my right leg is missing and cannot drive, yet she insisted I show my California license to prove my identity which of course I cannot .. Stay away, unless you're a masochist....

Both my wife and I have recently been to this dental office for check ups, cleanings and crowns. Every person on the staff was courteous, personable, professional and helpful. Dr. Jaiswal is extremely good at what she does...she's very good at explaining what needs to be done and gentle in her craft. She has high standards for her work and has called both of us after our crowns were completed to see how we were doing. We've never had a dentist do that. We're very satisfied with this dental office. Thanks to all the staff!

This dental office is great! Everyone working there has been nothing but professional in helping me with my dental care. I came here about six months ago after years of not seeing a dentist. Every visit has been awesome. I usually get really anxious in these kinds of settings but the people here are so caring and understanding that it really helped me relax. I recommend this dental office!

Got my child a new retainer three weeks ago. My eight-year-old lost his retainer and we need to get a new one. They cannot see us for two weeks and will not order another retainer that they just did impressions on from less than a month ago. I feel like this place is a scam and my other kid will not be receiving any orthodontic work from here. Seriously, don't invest your money here. Once they have it they are just laughing their way to the bank If you try to call, it goes to a calling center and they think everything is on central time. All of the four-star reviews are from five years ago when it was a completely different practice with different dentists

Please be careful going into this place as they may charge you for things that are already covered in your insurance. The Dr personally said to me they make money off of crowns not cleaning and that made me really nervous on his attitude! Anyhow I suggest don't go to this place. I went in the first time and asked for cleaning and they said ,do you want deep cleaning or normal cleaning? I said do normal since the deep cleaning was extra charge, so they just brushed my teeth with polish!!! I was like what about the water pick? They said that's considered deep cleaning. I have always had these cleanings with my previous dentists and it was all covered by the same insurance. Called the insurance and they also agreed and I asked my insurance not to pay for any claim they put in since the service was not provided.

If you have an option to go somewhere else please do!!! Don't make the mistake I did and cheap out with this place. They try and recommend services (bacteria decon gum lasering??) that you don't even need! Went in for a teeth cleaning and they said they couldn't clean my teeth until I had this done..what??? Been having my teeth cleaned twice a year my whole life give me a break. They also tried to say I needed 2 crowns and a root canal and then called me a week later wondering why I hadn't booked yet because "I really needed to get them done soon" Well I got a second opinion and ended up needing ONE FILLING!!!! Ugh I am so glad I didn't waste even more money on unnecessary services. ALSO they sent my to collections and I have tried calling them multiple times regarding a bill-so shady! It was a 10min teeth "cleaning" for my 2 year old that is 100% covered by insurance and who told me not to pay. I know $111 is not a lot but when you don't owe it and now it can affect credit. They won't call you back! Lastly-if your still reading thanks. Knew I was pregnant for my first cleaning before I made the appt yet when I went in they said they couldn't clean my teeth. Geeze such a waste of time and money. They will ABSOLUTELY try and oversell and overdo services just to be able to charge more. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!!
