Dr. Helaine Smith is dedicated to her patients to their care, overall health and education since beginning her dentistry career in 1991 and is passionately committed to using the most effective state-of-the-art proven techniques and materials to guarantee the best long term outcomes for her patients.
In addition to educating her patients about their oral and their overall health, she is tireless in her pursuit of innovations to improve the quality and outcomes of patient care, taking full advantage of educational opportunities for both herself and her staff.
Helaine earned her Mastership with the Academy of General Dentistry. She is a Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies graduate, a graduate of the Boston University School of Dentistry, has lectured widely, and has completed an executive MBA program.
Dr. Smith was named one of the Top 25 Women in Dentistry, featured in the Dental Products Report in 2010. In 2006, Dr. Smiths practice was first runner-up in the prestigious Cosmetic Practice of the Year Award competition, sponsored by Levin Group, Ascend Media, and Philips Oral Healthcare.
Helaines humanitarian work includes missions for Operation Smile, Cape Cares, Friends of Ghana and other organizations to many locations around the globe, including Ghana, the Philippines, Honduras, Kenya and Brazil.
As you can see, Helaine loves fly-fishing and is an active member of Trout Unlimited, the Croton Watershed Chapter. Her involvement in this wonderful organization not only gives her the opportunity to enjoy one of her favorite pastimes, but provides a venue for her passion for environmental activism, water preservation and community service such as Trout in the Classroom, an environmental program that teaches young people about trout and the environment in which they live through the process of raising trout from eggs.
Shili Feng, DMD is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2015 and completed her general practice residency at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City. Before her dental career, Dr. Feng was a research scientist at the Rockefeller University in molecular biophysics and is a published author with her research on RNA polymerase.
Dr. Fengs friendly and caring personality makes her popular among our patients. She combines her strong analytical skills with her love of dentistry and interacting with patients. When she is away from the office she enjoys spending time outdoors hiking with her husband and two young children.

What a great dental experience! Went in for a full exam, x-rays, and cleaning, and had a surprisingly enjoyable afternoon. The office is clean, elegant, and comfortable. The staff is super friendly, and very professional, and to top it all off, they did a fantastic job of assessing and cleaning my teeth! Very thorough, very focused, and very detail oriented, which gave me such confidence in their abilities, that I feel lucky to have found this wonderful team. My daughter has come here twice for Botox treatment for TMJ. (On visits from NYC). I have accompanied her both times, and we both love Dr. Smith and the staff. She has taken a real holistic approach to this non-cosmetic issue, with a thoughtful, unhurried and calm manner. Assistants and front desk staff also great! Highly recommend.

I had gone over 2 years without dental visits due to Covid. When my dentist retired, I decided to try PRCD. So happy I did! Dr Feng and the receptionist gave me a big welcome. The dental assistant was very sweet and explained everything she was doing with the new (to me) equipment she was using. Dr Feng was wonderful about my sensitivity issues. Lots of numbing gel, I didn't jump once. The office is immaculate and obviously has brand new equipment. They made a dreaded visit to the dentist enjoyable!

Sssshhhh. Don't tell anyone about this secret gem of a dental office!! Don't tell anyone that this is the BEST dentist office I've ever been to, the cleanest, the gentlest, the friendliest, the most inexpensive. Sssshhhhh, or else everyone will want to go here!!! Don't tell anyone that they will generally fit you in the following day, that the doctor does the cleaning herself if she has time, that they have the fanciest equipment I've ever seen in a dental clinic, and sssshhhhh, don't tell anyone that the name, Pound Ridge Cosmetic Dentistry is purposely deceiving because they are actually a straight up regular family dental clinic!!! I'd give this place 100 stars if I could.

I have been using this Dentistry for about 2 years now, and I have been very impressed with their services. They're use of state-of-the-art technology surpasses anything I've seen in other offices (e.g. micro 3D digital imaging cameras that capture your teeth in stunning photographic imagery with the ability to digitally rote them on-screen for viewing, laser technology for gum work, along with a broader selection of new and impressive equipment that is too lengthy to list, etc.). Beyond technology, their attention to detail, care and your comfort is superb. Dr. Helaine Smith has an immense background in dentistry and has pursued emerging technologies in dentistry with enthusiasm, compassion and zest. It is no surprise to learn of the awards of distinction that she has earned in her lifetime. Sheli Feng, DMD, (a former research scientist) has also been a pleasure to work with, as has been the rest of the staff. A nice convenience is they are located next door to a cute little cafe, for a quick cup of delicious coffee, afterwards, and parking is free, ample and easy. The small village setting of Scots Corners in Pound Ridge adds to the relaxed setting. While they do not take dental insurance at this time, they do promptly complete and submit paperwork to your insurance company, for easy claim processing, freeing you from having to manage this hassle. If dedicated and excellent dental care is your top priority, Pound Ridge Cosmetic Dentistry is very worthy of your attention.
