Dr. Hutchison was born and raised in Stafford, VA and graduated from North Stafford High School. She then attended George Mason University where she received her BS in Biology. Dr. Hutchison pursued her dental degree at Howard University in Washington, DC. While at Howard University for her dental education, she was on the dean's list for all four years, served as class secretary and student council secretary, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. After she obtained her dental degree, Dr. Hutchison continued at Howard University for her orthodontic residency. She graduated at the top of her class and was awarded the Orthodontic Department Award and the Orthodontic Postdoctoral Award in Biomechanics.
When she is not at the office, Dr. Hutchison and her husband, Chris, love to play with their two wonderful daughters. Dr. Hutchison also spends time with her family, who are still located in Stafford. She loves to try new foods and has a well-known sweet tooth. If she werent an orthodontist, she would have an all-dessert restaurant!

I just had another appointment with Dr. Hutchison. She and her staff are amazing. LOVE the fact that they still require you to wear a mask for your safety and theirs. As I work as a medical provider in Pediatrics and with the recent uptake in illness still Covid, Flu, RSV and other illnesses it is even more essential to wear them and respect when asked to wear one! Love this office!

Definitely the place to go. These people were just amazing. Kind, friendly and very professional. Currently 2 kids currently in the process of getting braces for one and the invisline for the other. Very please with the whole establishment.

They're awesome what can I say . I drive 40 mins to get to them.theyre still very cautious considering that it is still a pandemic and I LOVE that! they have the children come to the door alone with their mask on then have them use hand sanitizer upon entry. my son said that he wasn't allowed to sit down until they had cleaned the seat off *claps* but also they're very professional and after coming here from a different state and having to restart his treatments ,they made the process seamless and most importantly he is making great progress.

My son Alex is on the autism spectrum, it was hard just to get him to a regular dentist. Then we found out he was going to need braces, I was terrified!!! As soon as we met Dr. Hutchinson and her staff I knew things were going to be ok. We took each thing step by step, the dental assistants were so patient and kind to Alex that he never had a major issue with anything they did!!!! Braces are off now, and wearing his retainers seems to be no big deal. I am sooo pleased with our whole experience, I cannot say enough positive things about Potomac Orthodontist!!!! Thank you Dr. Hutchinson and staff for taking such excellent care of my son!!!!!

Dr. Hutchison, Cathy (office manager), the dental assistants are soooooo amazing!! I love how Dr. Hutchinson works with you to make sure that your treatment goes so smoothly. Jay and the other dental assistants are very patience and make sure that every appointment you have is relaxing and very informative. This is a true Boss lady office. I highly recommend it! Amazing staff. My kids have gone here for yrs decided it was time to do something for my own smile. I suffer from anxiety. Let me tell you they went above and beyond to make me feel at easy. Specially an associate who works there the manager of the office she's amazing. I left feeling so empowered and confident. They care for you.

Choosing Potomac Orthodontics for my invisalign treatment was the best and easiest decision to make. Their number one goal is for their patients to be happy, and they do a great job of it. The staff is incredibly skilled, professional, kind, and caring. I appreciate that they're very detail oriented in walking me through the process and explaining different options (invisalign/braces). Dr. Hutchison is truly a teeth artist! She has given me an amazing smile that I didn't know was possible given how my teeth were before.

Absolutely LOVE Potomac Orthodontics. My kid's have been patients here for awhile. First, my two teens, now a third who more recently got his braces on and we will eventually have a fourth to take here when that time comes. I'm so happy we opted to go with this office. The staff here really make the place so enjoyable - even my kids love them. Dr. Hutchison and Cathy, the office manager are so great. Thank you for giving us an experience to brag about!
