I find it very true that Life is a Journey of Learning. My passion for life and dentistry is satisfied through continuing to learn how to better serve others. I feel genuinely blessed to have a career that allows me to use my knowledge through my eyes and hands to directly help others. Our practice has a reputation for being compassionate while providing high-quality individualized care. I find that making other people happy is what truly provides me the greatest satisfaction and joy.
I enjoy being a father to our two sets of twins. It gives me a great deal of enjoyment seeing our children grow and their enthusiasm in many of the same things I take pleasure in such as the outdoors, swimming, waterskiing, boating and having an interest in horses.
Practicing as a dentist in a smaller community allows me to get to know the patients and families that I have the privilege to treat. It is rewarding to me to watch our patients grow and change through the many phases of their lives. Every day is special when I am able to make a positive impact on my patients health through personalized dental care. This is why I enjoy doing what I do!
As a mother of four children, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I actively participate in our childrens activities. I recently took up kickboxing and have a passion for cooking honoring my Greek heritage with my Yia Yias recipes.

I was referred to Poth Family Dental years ago for extensive and complicated dental work that many other local practitioners were not experienced in, or familiar with. Both Dr.s John and Karla, and staff, have provided me with conservative, collaborative, evidence based treatments with excellent results! They provide innovative solutions and state of the art care, while helping the patient to feel welcome and comfortable. I am so grateful for the conscientious and diligent care of these fine dental practitioners! Thank you so very much...

I was referred to Poth Family Dental years ago for extensive and complicated dental work that many other local practitioners were not experienced in, or familiar with. Both Dr.s John and Karla, and staff, have provided me with conservative, collaborative, evidence based treatments with excellent results! They provide innovative solutions and state of the art care, while helping the patient to feel welcome and comfortable. I came in for a new patent appointment and regular cleaning. It felt rushed and impersonal. I was shocked when I was told I had 4 cavities, when I've never even had 1 cavity. Poth Family was then very quick to discuss the costs with me. Suddenly it felt more like a sales pitch than a dental cleaning. The whole experience felt pushy and odd to me. I ended up paying to get a second opinion at a different local dentist office 2 weeks later. Turns out I still have no cavities and was told I have beautiful teeth. Luckily, I didn't follow Poth's advice and get fillings in 4 of my teeth unnecessarily. Watch out these guys are greedy and in it for the money.
