My dentist retired and I searched to find a new dentist and found Dr Cavanaugh. I cannot say it enough that I struck gold to find Dr Cavanaugh and his incredible, kind and caring staff ! I have had 4 visits with Dr Cavanaugh and I truly feel like I'm "home" here. He is brilliant, kind, caring and each visit I have had for restoration has been painless and I have dental anxiety but no longer. Dr Cavanaugh and his assistant Tracey are the very best ! His office staff is beyond kind, friendly, professional and very accommodating If I could give Portsmouth Family Dental 500 stars I would No better place to go for dental care !!

Portsmouth Family Dental is simply the best dental facility you can go for your dental health! Dr Cavanaugh and his staff are very professional and truly care about your dental health! Portsmouth Family Dental is outstanding. Dr.Cavanaugh and the entire team go above and beyond, for our entire family, whether it is for a routine appointment or something more involved. They always return phone calls promptly, have always "squeezed me in" when needed, and by the way they are really nice, too! I highly recommend this practice without hesitation!

I love the team at Portsmouth Family Dental! Having periodontal issues, Dr. Cavanaugh is always wonderful at explaining options and treatment plans with care and patience. And Katlyn is the best dental hygienist I've ever had! It's wonderful to go to an office with modern options for treatment and really pleasant staff!

I can't possibly say enough great things about Dr. Cavanaugh and the staff. All very personable and professional and always put you at ease when you're in THAT chair. Kind of makes me look forward to dental visits, weird as that is.

Very well run office. The front desk staff is super efficient and pleasant. The women who cleaned my teeth were professional, informative and caring. They helped me select the best insurance option. The doctor is excellent, and super nice. Just a pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

I have been going to this dental practice for the past 4 to 5 years and am always impressed by the quality of the staff and the services. Dr. Cavanaugh is conservative in his recommendations and does not promote unnecessary procedures. The dental hygienists are always friendly and superb; I have a small mouth that is very difficult to work in, but the hygienists are unfazed. The front desk staff are always welcoming and proficient. A great dental practice!
