Dr Peter Grace is excited to live in a time with so many advances in dentistry but knows going to the dentist may not be everyones favorite activity. From beautiful lifelike crowns and veneers, to implants, clear braces, and even a better understanding as to why one gets decay, dentistry has made many advancements. To help with the experience of dentistry Dr Grace considers himself lucky to be a part of a team of individuals who offer a friendly smile and caring nature to help provide a comfortable experience.
After growing up in nearby Rochester, NY, Dr Grace attended SUNY College at Geneseo, University of Buffalos School of Dental Medicine and finished with a residency at the University of Utah. He continues to grow with dentistry having completed the course work at the Kois Dental Education Center and having attended the Engel Institute for dental implant training. He works hard to improve his knowledge and ability to deliver care to his patients.
While coaching at the Fairport Crew Club in Rochester, Dr. Grace met his wife Carla who was also coaching at the time. They both enjoy being in the outdoors skiing, rowing, recently learning to ice skate, hiking in the Adirondacks, and working in their vegetable garden. Dr. Grace also finds himself remaining handy building furniture and fixing up the house, although he has learned drywall is best left to the professionals.
When choosing a Dentist it's important to understand what the office practice philosophy is so trusting relationships are established. At PortSide Dental our ultimate goal is for patients to be on a 6 month routine hygiene visit for teeth cleanings. Educating patients on how to implement proper home care such as the importance of flossing and brushing twice a day at home, is absolutely the key to being decay free, visiting our office less often and having control over your oral health and the amount of money you spend on dental each year.
First and foremost PortSide Dental is a pain free office. Dentistry should not be painful. Its the lack of proper dental care that causes the pain and we do our best to make sure every single patient is comfortable. We regularly have daily openings for emergency visits if needed. Our patients are always informed on what the procedures en-tale, why the specific procedure needs to happen, and will never leave without knowing the costs associated with the dental work that needs to be completed.
