Our goal is to educate children and parents on how a healthy diet, good brushing and flossing habits, and regular dental checkups can create a healthy, beautiful smile that will build confidence and last a lifetime.

She comes from a big city but has fallen in love with the slower pace of the Northwest. Dr. Patty has two young boys, Lucca and Nicco, and a mini labradoodle, Whiskey. Lucca is in elementary school and Nicco is close behind! Whiskey continues to excel in cleaning up crumbs and licking faces after each meal.

Dr. Patty is the past president of the Oregon Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and International Association of Pediatric Dentistry. She has also served as an Assistant Professor at OHSU.

One of her passions is participating in community service projects in the local community and abroad. She is a regular volunteer at free clinics and has twice traveled to Haiti on dental missions, even picking up the local Haitian Creole when she volunteered in Port Au Prince for 5 months.

Dr. David returned to Baltimore where he earned his dental degree from the University of Maryland. He came to OHSU for his residency in Pediatric Dentistry where he trained to work with children who have a variety of dental and medical needs.

Dr. David is active in community service projects in the Portland area and has gone on dental missions to India, Bolivia, and Guatemala. He was previously an Assistant Professor in the Pediatric Dentistry Department at Doernbecher Children's Hospital. He is a board member of Smile Oregon, an organization that provides support to children in the Oregon community who have cleft and craniofacial conditions.

Dr. David and his wife Lesley have two very active boys, Jack and Charlie. With Jack leading the way, the boys are always finding new and creative ways to make a mess and put themselves in peril. Dr. David is busy at home but still tries to carve out some time to enjoy his favorite outdoor activities: surfing, skiing, fishing, scuba diving, and spending time outdoors.

I have been in the dental field for about 8 years. I am a people person and enjoy connecting with and helping people on a personal level. What I love best about my job is the way a positive experience in the dental office can change a person's life.

When I am not in the office I enjoy spending time with my family. We love to take our RV and spend time at the beach, fishing, camping, riding four-wheelers, and bikes. Anything that can get our kiddos out of the house and off electronics!

Some fun facts about me are my favorite Cartoon as a child was Heman and Carebears. My favorite show at the moment would have to be Yellow Stone or below deck. We have 5 children, 4 boys, and 1 girl. I am crazy afraid of spiders! If I wasn't a parent or working in the dental field I think I would live/work on a boat and travel the world.

I've been in the dental field for 23 years now. I love working with families and enjoy seeing many of our patients at community events around Portland and my sons' school. Kids love telling me about their brushing habits or a tooth they recently lost. It's the cutest

Some fun facts about me are I love 1980's and 90's movies and music! My brothers, sisters and I can have full conversations with movie quotes. Now that my boys are getting older, I'm super excited about watching some of my old faves with them.

I graduated from Clark College Dental hygiene program in 2012 and have been working as a hygienist since. I have always loved working with children and enjoy being able to help create a positive experience for kids in the dental office so they can be comfortable and confident patients. I also love answering questions and helping kids develop effective home care skills.

I stay busy outside the office as well! My partner Tyler and I have been together over ten years and live in Vancouver, WA with our two dogs, Ziggs and Sona, and cat, Tibbers. We enjoy having friends over to play board games together.

I love crafting including crocheting and quilting. To stay active I have been training in jiu jitsu, earning my blue belt in 2019. My dog Sona and I have taken many training classes and love to work on nose work skills where she sniffs out scents that I hide around the house or yard.

My most favorite things to do when I'm not working are traveling, painting with oils and acrylics, and playing bass guitar. I also love riding horses and spending time in the Columbia River gorge with my family!

I am going on 25 years in the dental field. I've always worked in the pediatric dental field. It is so rewarding to see kids come in anxious and scared and leave with a smile and a feeling of accomplishment.

A fun fact about me is that I grew up in a small town in eastern Washington. Most of my family owned farms and I love horseback riding but we also spent time on the Oregon coast so I always thought I would be a Marine Biologist or an Equine veterinarian but here I am in the dental field!

I've been in the dental field for 4 years. I love working in dentistry because growing up my family couldn't afford to go to the dentist when we needed to. Now I love that I can serve my community by helping our patients when they are in need.

I have worked exclusively as a pediatric dental assistant for over 21 years. Seeing a child leave the office with a sense of accomplishment is what I live for. I transitioned from dental assisting to the front office and now to the marketing side but I still am passionate about providing dental care.

When I am not working I run a DIY and crafting blog, an Etsy shop, and a Youtube channel. I enjoy traveling around the world, spending time with family and friends, renovating my mid-century modern house, eating yummy food, and generally participating in shenanigans.

Some fun facts about me are that I was/am Portland Children's Dentistry's first employee. I have three sisters and 9 nieces and nephews. My favorite cartoons growing up were the Transformers, CareBears, Rainbow bright, and anything Disney. I am more than half German, my mother was born and raised there. I have spent almost five years collectively in Germany. I am married to my high school sweetheart for over 21 years. I speak German fluently, Cambodian conversationally, and I know most dental terminology in Russian.

When I'm not at work, I enjoy vacationing with my family. New adventures with those you love the most are invaluable. I also really enjoy shopping for antiques, or anything with a history behind it. Last but not least Boating!!! I love being out on the lake. Warm sunshine and serene beauty all around is the best way to relax.

I have been in the dental field for 4 years. Before entering the dental field I was a teacher for preschool-1st grade students. I love being able to teach kiddos in a way that will benefit them for life.

My son needed to have some teeth pulled after I initially took him to my dentist. They don't do pediatric dentistry so I had to look for a place that did. We found Portland Children's Dentistry; our first visit was at the Woodstock location and the doctor was great. We scheduled his second appointment and had to go to the NW location for it. Salina was awesome! She helped put my son at ease, was with him the entire time and said the procedure went good. Dr. David, his team, and the front desk staff are great! I would recommend them to any family looking for pediatric dentistry. If you get to meet and interact with Salina you will be in good hands! My son is scheduled for his checkup early next year; can't wait to see everyone again!

After a not so great experience at a different dentist we came to Portland Children's Dentistry for a second opinion. I so wish we had just come here first. We got to have Liz as our hygienist and she was quite possibly the nicest human we've ever met. She put my child at ease within seconds and made the overall visit so easy. Dr. David was informative and made the treatment options clear and concise. Every aspect of this visit was more than I could have hoped for. They were able to schedule us within a week for both initial and treatments appts, parking is easy, location is great!

Amazing in every way! It was our sons first dentist appointment. I wish all dentists made things so fun, where to start? Liz was extremely kind and her high energy was infectious... we felt like it was a play date more than a drs appointment the dentist went over all the important info in just a couple mins and looked in his mouth for only seconds and got all he needed for a diagnosis. Our son can't wait for his next appointment!

We have been taking both of our kids here for years. Dr. David is fantastic! He is very good not only at making the kids feel at ease, but also at explaining what's happening with their teeth. Excellent care, I would recommend Portland Children's Dentistry to anyone looking for the right dentist for their kids.

We had a great experience. We have been here 3 times, each time the Dr. David and staff are so engaging with children, and know how to make them feel at ease. The facility is clean and welcoming. Dr. David is very informative and thorough for parents. I highly recommend Portland Children's Dentistry.

Amazing! This place is top notch from start to finish. Up with technology, Everything electronic, saving parents time and caring about environment. Naming a few positives: Patient comfort, parents involved, TVs on ceiling, nothing is rushed, nice staff (like amazing with kids), clean, dentist talked to child and parents, Minimally invasive, child comfort and in control whole time. I was hesitant...We have a special needs child. We have had bad experience at other dentist before. I was expecting the worst and was so impressed that a dentistry practice could be this professional and compassionate. Thank you to the whole staff!

Dr David and staff have always been wonderful to work with. Kind, gentle, caring, and professional. We came all the way from the coast to their office for a significant amount of dental work my son needed that required anesthesia over 4 years ago. We love them so much we decided to stay for regular maintenance care rather than a clinic closer to home.

This place is legit the best. They treated and cared for my 3 year old with so much patience and thoughtfulness. We had an unfortunate reason for going there, but they made our toddler comfortable and as happy as she could be. Very much recommend this place to anyone who wants an exceptional dentist for their kids.

My son had to get a tooth pulled after a fall. They made it a seemingly pain free experience and he was distracted by an overhead tv with cartoons the whole time with prizes at the end to help. Thankful to have their child friendly approach all the time, but especially in a difficult situation.

Portland Children Dentistry is our best choice for the kids. They give exceptional services with respect, friendliness, and kids friendly environment. My kids love to come see dr Patty every time. She is good with my kids, especially my older son with autism. She goes out of her way to give him an outstanding care. Cristina is very nice and friendly to talk to for scheduling. Thank you thank you!

Our young daughter's (ages 7 and 8) absolutely love love love their dentist! Everything about this practice is spot on. Both of the dentists are parents to thing children, so their approach to working with young patients is age appropriate. The hygienists and dentists explain things in ways that the kids understand. The whole staff is super patient and fun. Furthermore, they have cartoons playing while each child is in the chair, they offer prizes, and usually offer coffee! (Not during COVID 19). Speaking of the pandemic, we just can't from the girls' cleaning and it was exceptional. Every staff member wore two medical grade face masks and the hygienists wore face shields (with cute stickers) on top of their doubled up masks! Oh, and gloves. Perfect experience even during this time.

My daughter went from being so scared of the dentist that after 3 attempts she had still never had her teeth clean. We have been going for over a year and she is now excited to go! We have cavities to watch but with Dr David's coaching our family made changes that has improved her oral health! Today we went to our first post Covid19 appointment and the team helped me and my daughter to feel safe and connected even with all the safety precautions!
