Dr. Rooz Khosravi established PORTH Personalized Orthodontics in 2017 to offers individually tailored solutions aimed at creating precision outcomes to deliver beautiful, confident smiles to each of his patients. PORTH has two completely digital clinics in Sammamish & Bellevue. Dr. Rooz is amongst a unique group of orthodontics providing lingual braces along with all orthodontic services to all ages.
As a second generation dentist in his family, Dr. Roozs interest in dentistry began early in his life. He grew up spending lots of time in his mothers dental practice, and learning the importance of deeply caring about patients of all ages.
Dr. Rooz was trained at the University of Washington, a world renowned program in orthodontics. He holds a masters degree in oral public health and a PhD in bone biology. Less than 1% of orthodontists have such credentials, making him exceptionally trained and qualified in the field. He is also an assistant professor of orthodontics at the School of Dentistry at the University of Washington, where he teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate orthodontics levels.
Dr. Rooz is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a commitment to excellence. Dr. Rooz conducts research studies on digital orthodontics and is a clinical advisor at various companies to develop products for modern orthodontics.
It all started with a name; Personalized Orthodontics (Porth). There was that before there was anything else, aside from the dream I had to startmy own boutique ortho clinic. The name came to me before we had a space, and never I wavered from it, even though so many other things evolved over time. Because at the heart of it all, my vision was to create an experience for people.Straightening teeth is the main component of that experience, but like so very many things in todays world, the Porth experience comes with a feel that is unique to each patient.
Early in my residency at the University of Washington my wife and I went for a hike east of Seattle. (Fun fact: shes not that into hiking so I told her it was 4 miles roundtrip when it was, in fact, 4 miles each way. Im waiting for her to get over itany day now.) On the way home we stopped at Homegrown on 228th in Sammamish (how sad to see that go!) and I immediately felt something for this place. It had a small town feel, but with a diverse population and a strong sense that it was on the brink of change. This town is growing in leaps and bounds with the construction to prove it and I wanted to be a part of it. A few weeks later we were this way again and we drove up 228th where I saw a large construction site near Eastside Catholic and a TRF sign. A few seconds on google got me the name of the real estate broker, and the rest is history!

It's been three months since I've finished with lingual braces and I am on retainer now. Dr Rooz and his staff are very professional. I always was worried about going through an orthodontic procedure and be uncomfortable at work during meetings or just day to day conversations, until someone told me that lingual braces can be an option for me and Dr Rooz is the expert here in the east side. Firstly, nobody at work or friends even noticed that I have braces as they were on the inner side of my teeth. Secondly, the whole procedure took less than 10 months for me and I was done with braces sooner than I expected. Also, I had two insurance coverages and they worked it out very smoothly.

Getting braces as an adult is never something I thought I'd need to do. We chose Porth based on prior reviews and proximity to where we live. They also were the most responsive to our initial inquiries. I chose to do aligners and I've been very happy with my experience. The entire staff is really great and very accommodating. Dr. Rooz is very responsive and takes his time explaining the process, timelines and options available. You do a lot of scans at home and they were able to find a solution that worked for me to make it easier to do the scans. Whenever I've needed something, they've been quick to get back to me whether via email or phone. Most importantly, my teeth have moved into a better alignment and a lot of the pain I had before my aligners is now gone. I still have a few months left to be completely finished but I've been very happy with the experience.

I have been working with Porth for over 6 months now to straighten my teeth and fix my open bite with aligners. I am so thankful that I found Porth. Everyone I have interacted with has been wonderful. I have been easily able to get ahold of the office and Dr. Rooz when I have questions or need to reschedule and everyone is always so kind! I could not be happier with the progress my teeth have made so far, and I cannot imagine going through this process with a more caring office and doctor. If you're thinking about going to Porth, hands down... absolutely do it.

Wow this has to be one of the best medical related facilities I have been to in a very long time. Staff were super nice, very helpful, gentle with my mouth, and fixed my problem with ease. Not to mention everything was very high tech, and the clinic had a more modern, very clean aesthetic to it. I will certainly be going back here for any orthodontic related visits in the future.

I've only been wearing my aligners for about 3 months and could not be more pleased with the progress! I still have over a year to go, but the changes I'm seeing on a weekly basis are very apparent. This practice is also technologically advanced, which makes this process extremely convenient. They text for appointments and use an app to track progress, reducing the number of visits I have to make in-person. The few times that I visit in person, the experience is more than pleasant. I'm greeted with a friendly face and smile, the assistants are warm and receptive to feedback on fittings, and Dr. Rooz is just a mastermind of orthodontics and is extremely personable. I really am not one to rave about medical practices, but this one is an exception because every single person I've come across is exceptional! Highly, highly (obviously) recommend!

I wanted my teeth straightened and whitened before my upcoming wedding in August. I had treatment for about 9 months with aligners and am BEYOND happy with the results! I also love that PORTH has two locations. The office in Bellevue is downtown and is closer to where I live. Their Bellevue location offers the same cutting edge technology and the same amazing staff! Chris who works at the front desk is always cheerful and very helpful when making my appointments! Elly is always there to answer any questions you have! She is with you from the beginning of treatment until the very end. Assistants Keli and both Rachels are all warm and knowledgeable. Dr. Rooz is professional and detail oriented. He is always glad to answer any questions and explain the treatment plan so you know exactly what is going on. I cannot recommend PORTH enough. The whole teams offers great service and exceptional care!

Dr. Rooz and his staff have been professional, understanding and compassionate with my sons challenging orthodontic needs. His recommendation on treatment has made the most sense compared to others and an effective yet difficult process has been very manageable thus far. Dr. Rooz has a great demeanor and connects very well with his patients. My son gelled with him and the staff day one. The office has also embraced modern technology and applied it seamlessly to the practice in a fashion that makes sense. I highly recommend this practice.

The entire staff of Porth is kind, communicative, and professional. I feel like the care is ultra personalized and top notch. I absolutely LOVE my clear aligners that are made in the office. Dr. Rooz is super knowledgeable and makes the whole process a positive experience. I very happily drive nearly an hour to Sammamish for their convienent Saturday appointments, and the Bellevue office is another great option. TL;DR: If you have ever thought about any type orthodontics, you HAVE to check out Porth! They are the best!

Great office with caring staff! Parking is ample with wide spaces unlike other parts of Bellevue. I had a digital rendering made of my teeth for a new upper and lower retainer to replace the dreaded bar across the back of my teeth that finally broke. And I was able to pickup the retainers closer to home at the Sammamish office.
