Pierre grew up in London, UK with a French mother and an American father, which set the tone for his bi-cultural upbringing. It was here, going to get fitted for braces, that he decided he wanted to be a dentist: the technicality of the work fused with human connection felt like the perfect job. After graduating from high school, he decided to reconnect with his american heritage and studied biochemistry at Wake Forest University.

Taking a gap year, he used this time to travel south America, Nepal, Europe, and Canada enjoying the landscapes, meeting new people and sharing these experiences with his family and friends. He has since settled in Cleveland with his fiance Candice and their cat Leo.

Pierre is excited to get working and meet patients. Naturally empathetic and caring, what he loves most is giving his patients their smile back. He is keen on seeing where technological advancement will take dentistry, creating a safe space for patients and counseling them in the best way possible.

I went to Portage Dental after a bad policies at Streetsboro Dental. I went into Portage Dental for a consultation for my 12 teeth to be pulled for an upper denture. I went back on October 25 . The Asian Dentist not my other Dr. Was not caring at all about my concerns of having an infection and pulling my teeth. When he was doing the novacane When he got to the front of the roof of my mouth he hit a nerve or sensitive spot, that was very painful that it caused me to have a panic attack. After I calmed down some where I wasn't shaking anymore. I said I not doing this today. They gave me a referral.CWRU Dental school oral surgery dept. I have been taking advil for the pain in the roof of my mouth and it's harder now to eat because of the needle that was jammed into my mouth.I don't recommend the Asiandentist at all.Everyone else working there is nice and caring.I don't want my bad experience to stop anyone from going here.

I was terrified to go to the dentist, I had multiple teeth that had to be removed and fillings to be completed. Now I'm getting fitted for partials! Dr.Paya is amazing and has taken my fears completely away!

This is one of the dirtiest dental offices I've ever visited. Bits for the drilling machines are left out in the open covered by disposable plastic cups. There was some sort of debris all over the floor that looked like it was from the ceiling. The arms on the chairs are broken. The receptionist wore her mask as a chin diaper until I was literally right in front of her talking. They keep you waiting for up to 15 mins after your appt time which is normal, however for my last appt I ran into some heavy traffic when I was halfway there so out of courtesy I called the dental office to let them know I would be about 10 mins late, they said that that was to late and they would have to reschedule for over a month later! I was very upset by this and i won't be going back.

If I could give them zero I would DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR TEETH! My wife who has had great teeth her whole life had a terrible root canel here that she didn't even need which has given her a permanent numbness in her jaw. This place is a chop shop.

Began going here 2 months ago and it has been the best experiences I've ever had at the Dentist. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and honest. This is the first review I've ever given so, that should sum it up.

This is my first time going to this office & I would give more stars if I could! It was extremely clean, timely, they're taking proper precautions against the virus, and the staff is phenomenal!

I have been afraid of the dentist ever since I got braces in high school. I don't mind going to this office though. They have done a wonderful job of taking care of my teeth. They have done a root canal, several fillings, and fitted me for a mouth guard. I had my mouth guard break just a week after I got it and when i called them they replaced it no problem. I go here whenever i need work done and will continue to do so in the future.

I have been going to Portage Dental for some time now but yesterday was the end for me. Not only did the dentist basically refuse to make a call to my insurance company to try and get me approved for my crowns but the dental hygienist I had was the absolute worst. I have had root canals, tooth extractions and multiple fillings. But nothing compared to what I was put through yesterday. She kept dropping things; she was drowning me in water. She cut the side of my tongue with one of the tools and got my lip. It took her FOREVER to do just a few fillings. Unfortunately I don't remember her name. My kids and myself are patients at Portage Dental but no more. I will be taking my services somewhere else. To anybody who reads this, and is a patient here, if you get the older dental hygienist with the blonde braids... run!!! Turn around and run for your life.

Management (Amber) was horrible and does not know how to treat patients. Dr. Becker bruised my whole right cheek and was swollen for weeks and could not get my bite right causing me weeks of unnecessary pain. I filed a complaint with the Ohio Dental Board for patient neglect. The office took $427.00 from me and now will not accept any calls or see me in the office- THIS IS THEFT! I would never reccommend anyone to this establishment or to be left in the care of Dr. Becker. This is patient abandoment and unethical! Almost two thousand dollars spent here! Find a better place to go!!
