With a combined 50 years of experience practicing in the community, our patients and referring doctors are our friends, neighbors, childrens teachers, and our own health care providers. We live and work in the communities we share with our patients and referring doctors.

Dr. Niazi obtained his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Case Western Reserve University in 2003. After practicing for five years as a general dentist in Tacoma and Gig Harbor, he attended the University of Southern California to become certified in Endodontics (root canal specialist).

Dr. Niazi's past experience as a general dentist is an asset in providing a multidisciplinary approach to long-term treatment in conjunction with a patient's general dentist. Dr. Niazi believes root canal treatment is the best method of saving teeth and improving oral health, an essential part of a patient's overall health. He believes that endodontic treatment should be affordable, comfortable, and of long-lasting results. Dr. Niazi has enjoyed returning home to serve the endodontic needs for the people of Pierce, Kitsap and Mason counties.

Dr. Niazi is active in endodontic research and publication. He has volunteered and traveled to El Salvador to provide endodontic care to the less fortunate. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Rebecca, and their daughter and son.

Dr. Olsson earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a recipient of the Armys Health Professional Scholarship Program and served as a dental officer for four years directly after graduating from dental school. During that time, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program where her skills were refined practicing in the Landstuhl and Kaiserslautern multi-specialty clinics.

During her time of service, Dr. Olsson had the opportunity to complete a tour in Baghdad providing dental care for our deployed soldiers. After fulfilling her commitment to the US Army, she joined a private practice in the DC Metro area.

Dr. Olsson enjoys learning and growing professionally. As a general dentist she regularly attended ADA conferences, Spear Education courses and a variety of other hands on classes. Part of her professional growth included earning a Fellow designation with the AGD. After nearly a decade of general practice and completing over 65 credit hours in the endodontic specialty, Dr. Olsson returned to school to complete a residency in Endodontics. She and her family bundled that adventure with returning home to attend the University of Washington Graduate Endodontic Program.

Her memberships include: American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Washington State Dental Association, Pierce County Dental Society and the Kitsap County Dental Society. As a member of the American Association of Endodontists, Dr. Olsson is on track to earn Diplomate designation.

Dr. H was raised in Sweden where he earned a Master of Science Degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Malmo University. He continued to practice general dentistry in a multi-specialty practice where he discovered his passion for endodontics. Dr. H was also a faculty member at Malmo University where he was active in research and publications.

In pursuit of professional growth, Dr. H moved to the United States and attended the University of Southern California, Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. Here he completed his post-doctoral residency in Endodontics.

Dr. H now calls the Pacific Northwest home. Coincidentally, this area reminds him very much of where he grew up in Sweden. Hadjirs unique cross-cultural background and life experiences enable him to relate to everyone, regardless of socioeconomic, religious, or cultural background. He is fluent in English, Swedish, German and Farsi.

I was fortunate to go from my dentist's off to the Puget Sound Endodontic Associates on the same day. I was in some real pain. Dr Haghpsrast (Dr H) was thorough, kind, a good communicator, and patient. All questions I posed were answered. My oral surgery went smoothly following antibiotics. Instructions for home care were good. I did have a question, post surgery, that was answered via a phone call. I was treated like a valued patient by all staff members. Suture removal was a breeze. I had additional questions during that appointment. Dr H shared, with detail, the complete procedure with me. I reviewed my before and after x-rays during this explanation. Dr H was clear with the detail that I was seeking. I value the trust that was created in such a short period of time. I completely recommend Puget Sound Endodontic Associates to anyone in need.

Dr H is fantastic! From the consultation to the procedure, he was very kind and caring and provided excellent communication about my issue and treatment. The procedure itself was virtually painless and today, the day after I have almost no pain at all. I can't recommend Dr H enough if you're in need of endodontic care!

Dr. Niazi was amazing. He was continually asking about my comfort. He explained every step of the root canal procedure. The technology used now days makes the process relatively quick and totally painless. There is some soreness and discomfort after the numbness wears off, but that can't be avoided and it was minimal. I highly recommend Dr. Niazi.

Update: Later, there was an issue with billing. They ask for an estimated majority up front (which I paid on the spot) and then bill you any overage later, which they do explain clearly. I agreed and followed instructions. Where it all went wrong was that their system rejected my second payment somehow (sent from my bank, not a credit card like the first). They have an automated escalation system that full on harasses and threatens people with collections from first notification, even those who tried to pay or thought they paid. But I get that, a machine doesn't know, right? So I responded to them and promised to contact my bank immediately to see what went wrong. I told them I'd have to get a ride to my bank because I have disabilities that prevents me from talking on phones or driving (which they already knew about me). I told them I'd get there as soon as physically able and have full intention of paying. but I still got their next scheduled automated threat, escalated in language to be worse than the last. I contacted them again and told them to stop threatening me, and to get their house in order because my payment had been rejected by their own system. I totally understand automated systems. But once a human is needed, turn it off! Especially if that human gives you every dime you've asked for, immediately (or tried to but was never informed otherwise). Automated harassment systems can't tell that someone has historically paid immediately, or that an attempted payment was rejected by their own system. I resented being treated like a troublesome collections client, after treating them with the utmost respect and doing my own due diligence. I did leave it at 3 stars because their endodontic work was *excellent, and they happily provided my accommodations inside their location. I can recommend them if you pay *everything immediately, including the small overage they claim they will bill you for. Or, only pay the later overage in person, at their front desk. But I am scared to ever go there again, because there's no reference (in their billing system) to my accommodations for contacting me again, or maybe they didn't even try before turning on the Threat-O-Matic email campaign. Billing nightmares are reason enough to switch providers, and are unfortunately quite common in dental offices. Why *is that? -------------- I have dentist (not dental) anxiety, but all went well at Dr. Niazi's office. The staff wasn't so overly professional that they forget you're a person, but just the right amount of professional to do everything correctly. They accommodated all of my very weird health problems and fixed my dental issues with no complaints. I've rarely had no complaints before...I highly recommend Port Orchard/Gig Harbor Endodontics!

Dr Niazi and staff were kind, compassionate and overall just one of my best dental experiences. As a high stress patient, I had lots guidance and empathy from all the staff but mostly, Dr Niazi, himself. He helped me along the whole process of my dreaded root. To my surprise, I actually started to fall asleep during the procedure; I was so calm and at peace. I am blown away, as that is not my norm for dental work. I am so grateful for this office and their amazing bedside manner. As, it is very clear they genuinely care for their patients well being.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH PORT ORCHARD ENDODONTICS WAS SUCH A PLEASANT ONE that I want to let others know about this office and the tender care I felt while being treated for a root canal. All the women I met were genuine and caring. Christie and Jodie at the front desk were sweet and fun at my first check up visit and I left feeling like I would enjoy taking them out to lunch. (: In the day of my surgery Sena took such good care of me making sure I was comfortable each step of the way , what a sweet soul. Dr H is such a kind and gentle man and he has done well to hire individuals who replicate himself. I LEFT THE OFFICE FEELING SO BLESSED!!! (Not what you expect from dental surgery)

Appointments were on time, facility is very clean and hygienic. Front desk and assistants were friendly and professional. Dr. H is very clear and thorough about prognosis, treatment plan, and expectations. He was polite, professional, and informative. Took his time to answer all my questions and address my concerns. Explains procedure, before, during, and after to keep you in the loop. I am prone to anxiety, but the procedure itself was painless and I felt at ease. It was over in a jiffy! There was a fee for advanced imaging (3D?) not covered by my insurance, but don't let that deter you. I had a root canal done by another endodontist, which later failed because of a missed root and ended up needing an extraction and implant, so this imaging is well worth it. The fee and patient costs were transparently discussed prior to procedure and visit, so no surprises. General dentist's office kept pushing for a crown, but Dr. H advised against and finished with a filling, which helped me avoid an unnecessary and costly expense. I am very satisfied with my experience and was so impressed by how streamlined the entire process was, decided to actually review!

From the moment you are greeted by warm staff in the front office, you know the office is run with patient care and professionalism in mind. Dr. H and his assistance are by far the best team with the kindest and informative bedside manner. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually enjoyed the experience. Thank you all !!

I asked my dentist for the best endodontics Dr. around for my root canal. She recommended Dr. Niazi. Everyone from the front desk to the Doctor himself were friendly and kind. They explained every step of the procedure and checked in with me and how I was doing, every step of the way. Their technology was the newest and best. I could have not have asked for a better Doctor or staff to have done this root canal. They care!
