I had my teeth cleaned after a year away due to Covid. The staff in this office is very, friendly accomodating and efficient. My hygienist Brenda did a fantastic job. She is pleasant, skilled and knowledgeable. Dr. Hovencamp was also very thorough and explanatory about addressing a dental issue I have been having. I highly recommend Port Orange Family Dentistry.

First time here since I had to find a new place who took my insurance. My front tooth was chipped (NOT big) and the dentist made it look worse. He gave me one option and that was to cover it with a filling. I asked about the option to smooth it out and he said he could. When he finished, I pointed out that the edge was pointed. He filed again and now I have a big to the edge.

I love the dental hygienist but was shocked and upset that I can't get another appointment for 6 months! I've been going there for years and because of previous periodontal surgery, I've always been told to maintain a 3-4 month schedule.

Best experience I've had with a dentist, ever. I had a crown that fell off and was in a lot of pain. I was a new patient to this dentistry but they seen me the very same day and made an appointment for me to extract the tooth. Both times I was seen I waited under 5 minutes to be called back. The office was so clean and appealing. Dr.Powers and his dental assistant (I wish I knew her name) treated me with the upmost respect and continually made sure I was okay through the entire process. My seven year old daughter was with me and they also made the experience good for her by turning on children shows for her and making her feel welcome. By the end of it all she was saying she wanted Dr. Powers to be her dentist Anyways it was really nice to go somewhere and feel like they cared about my well-being and cared about the services they were providing me. So appreciated

I had an appointment today with Kevin Powers to check on a tooth that had chipped. Well him and his assistant x-rayed the wrong tooth and tried to diagnose the wrong tooth. I said that is not the tooth it is the one next to it. Well Dr. Powers Got a little huffy and looked over at his assistant. So he then looked at the correct tooth and gave me a diagnosis in less than five minutes and charged me $115. He said you can get a crown and a possible root canal or you can just wait until it breaks off and we will just pull it out. I was highly unimpressed! Then to charge me $115 for less than five minutes in the chair and trying to diagnose the wrong tooth. I will never go back and I have nothing good to say about this place.
