Dr. Scott Pope is a graduate from Northwestern University and has over 20 years of private practice experience in Walnut Creek, CA. He is an advanced CEREC cad/cam and Cone BeamCT trainer and a beta tester with Sirona. Dr. Pope is also a co-founder ofCAD3D Academy,educating dentists on advanced CEREC dentistry, CBCT imaging and implant guided surgery in the dental practice.
Dr. Pope was the team dentist for the Saint Marys Gaels for almost 10 years until 2013 and was involved with the 2013 Americas Cup in San Francisco as the team dentist for Artemis Racing from Sweden. He is also a Porsche certified high-performance driving instructor.
Dr. Scott Pope is a graduate from Northwestern University and has over 28 years of private practice experience in Walnut Creek, CA. Dr. Pope has authored numerous articles in a number of dental publications and is a well-known educator and lecturer nation-wide mentoring the dental community on advanced dentistry and digital technology. Dr. Pope is a co-founder of CAD3D Academy, educating dentists on advanced CEREC dentistry, CBCT imaging and implant guided surgery in the dental practice. Dr. Pope is also a co-founder of Data Guardian Pros, providing HIPAA compliance tools and data security that focuses on protecting your patients, your practice and your reputation. Dr. Audrey Mojica grew up on the Central Coast near San Luis Obispo, California where she also earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science at Cal Poly. She also spent a year in Florence, Italy studying art and history before going to dental school at Loma Linda University in southern California. In dental school Dr. Mojica received awards for her educational research in oral pathology. She has held assistant professor positions at both Loma Linda University and University of the Pacific in diagnostic and restorative dentistry. She has been part of the Pope Dental team since 2012.
With a background in health and education, Dr. Mojica believes strongly in educating patients in how oral health is related to overall health. She takes time to work with patients on disease prevention and employs minimally invasive dental treatments when necessary. Dr. Mojica has over 20 years of experience working with all ages, including children and special needs patients.
Dr. Mojica is SMART certified by the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology to remove amalgam mercury fillings safely. She is an active member in the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, Spear dental education, California Dental Association, American Dental Association and Contra Costa Dental Society.
As a mother, Dr. Mojica is passionate about holistic health in children which has led her to be certified in The Healthy Start appliance therapy which aids in proper airway and jaw development, healthy muscle habit formation and proper tooth eruption. This minimizes the need for extensive orthodontics and sets a foundation for a lifetime of health.
Amanda was born and raised in Walnut Creek and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2010 after graduating from Chabot College. She furthered her education at Cal State East Bay, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in human development with an emphasis in early childhood. Amanda joined the Pope Dental team in January, 2020 and is thrilled to be part of such an amazing office. She is passionate about improving the health of her patients while providing the utmost quality and compassionate care. She strives to build lasting relationships with her patients with her gentle touch and positive attitude. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as traveling.
Even though I now live in Roseville, I will keep making the drive to visit Dr. Pope and the rest of the team. I am not going to find this kind of care, or this friendly a group of people, anywhere else!
