Dr. Jamil Sowan is a graduate of the prestigious Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, an Ivy League institution and one of the oldest private dental schools in the country. While there, he obtained an advanced education in general dentistry, as well as training in oral sedation and implantology under the guidance of world-class faculty members. During his residency, Dr. Sowan enjoyed working with adults and kids and spent most of his rotations in the pediatric clinic. Dr. Sowan is certified in pediatric and adult oral conscious sedation, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Voronezh State Medical University in Russia. In his nearly 20 years of private practice, Dr. Sowan has continually furthered his education in the field of dentistry through monthly courses and various dental conferences along the East Coast. He is also a member of several dental organizations, including:The American Dental AssociationThe Virginia Dental AssociationThe Northern Virginia Dental SocietyThe Jordanian Dental AssociationBecause of his unique background and fluency in English, Arabic, and Russian, Dr. Sowan has been able to volunteer his skills overseas to provide needed dental care to people in refugee camps. In his state-of-the-art dental practice, he is dedicated to improving smiles and providing every patient with quality, affordable dental care in a personal, caring and comfortable environment. He considers his co-workers and team to be his family. Outside the dentist office, his hobbies include chess, soccer, photography, and hiking.

I've been going to this clinic for over two years now and I have gotten my wisdom teeth removed, braces, and other other procedures done. I've had a wonderful experience so far. The staff are also very kind and professional. Best dental clinic I have ever been to! 10/10 recommend!

The dentist doesn't have good behavior at all. He is a disrespectful man. He filled my daughter's front tooth and just a day later it chipped off.

BEWARE. My mom took my son to get a cleaning bc I was sick, they told her he had 6 cavities, when she asked for a copy of the X-rays they started acting very cagey and changed it to 5 cavities-they refused to give her the copy. Turns out my aunt works at an ortho office, I told them about the exchange and they re-did x-rays; he has 2 cavities and his teeth weren't properly cleaned. I will file a complaint w/insurance and anywhere is aplicable.

The Pop Smile Dentistry is the absolute best dental experience I ever had in my life! I have always had a really bad gag reflex plus I am very sensitive to pain, so the thought of an upcoming dental appointment always made me anxious, but this time I had zero pain or anxiety. Dr. Sowan is a very caring, thorough, and thoughtful doctor, with outstanding education from Ivy League school. I couldn't have been more impressed by his professionalism and his fantastic bedside manner. Staff was very welcoming and friendly, and the office was very bright and clean. All 5 stars and thank you so much Dr.Sowan and Pop Smile Dentistry staff! You are awesome!

Can you imagine that going to a dentist can be enjoyable? No stress, no pain at all!!! I have never wrote reviews in my life and I always thought, who are that people, who have so much time to do it? But visiting this dentistry was soooo cool, that I decide to spend my time and recommend it to everybody!!! The best dentistry in my life! I am 25 and I know what I am talking about I did a cleaning and 1 filling. I was very scary, and asked for anesthesia, but Dr. Jamil assured me he would do it without any pain, and I believed. And it was like a miracle - I haven't felt anything! After 3 minutes he told me "that's all", I said "whaaaat?". How is it possible??? The treatment was so quick and so fantastic I've never though going to a dentist can be so cool! Tomorrow I am going there again to remove my back teeth. Also, I see that they have lots of entertainments for kids (something like "just dance" and other games). What is more, you can watch Netflix while you are in a dentist chair It is fun and helps you to relax!

I went there to see hygienist. I don't know if she was new or unskilled but that was very unpleasant experience. The dentist seems nice but I didn't get to use his services because of how much didn't like the dental hygienist... For me is the team that define how good is one office, not individuals. The respond below is that there is no record of me as a patient. Try again with Borislav Donchev.

Dr. Jamil Sowan is the best dentist I have ever been to and I've been going to the dentist for over 50 years. His manner, work and all of his staff is amazing. He has the most updated equipment and is very thorough and gentle while working. I would recommend Dr. Sowan to everyone without question absolutely the best dentist I have ever had. So glad I went to him.

I have had the good fortune of having Dr. Sowan as my kids dentist in Manassas VA. He has taken care of my 4 children , even putting my oldest daughter in braces after insurance had denied it for 4 times . I'm so excited today is day 1 of my daughter getting her braces . His Orthodontist and staff are very friendly helpful and kind. My kids love it here , they feel comfortable and happy . Staff are all great with kids . I truly recommend coming to Pop Smile. For your kids and family #1 dentist .
