His father, Dr. Alexander Ponzio, who was also a general dentist, first began practicing in the area in 1979; so, the Ponzio family has had the pleasure of taking care of the dental health of the residents of Oak Park, River Forest, Elmwood Park, and the surrounding neighborhoods for almost 40 years.
Dr. Anthony Ponzio is currently an adjunct faculty member at Midwestern Universitys College of Dental Medicine-Illinois, where he regularly presents to the students on dental technology.He has taken extensive continuing education in the fields of orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and implant dentistry, and is an active member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and the International College of Implantology.Dr. Ponzio is also a Basic Trainer for CEREC CAD/CAM technology, and has had the pleasure of training hundreds of dentists and their staffs on dental technology and how to integrate it into their offices.
Dr. Benka received her DDS degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2007. During her dental career she has been a general dentist in private practice, serving the people of Oak Park and its surrounding communities.
Dr. Benka was a faculty member at Midwestern Universitys College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove 2011-2019. Starting in May 2014 she became an assistant professor, overseeing many students as they provided dental care.
Dr. Kouris received her dental degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1999. During her dental career, she has been a general dentist in private practice, serving multiple communities including Chicago, Oak Park, Oak Brook, Elmhurst and the surrounding communities.
Dr. Kouris is a strong advocate of giving back to the community, as evidenced by her work, providing dental care to underprivileged adults and children through the Community Health Clinic of Chicago and the Infant Welfare Society of Oak Park.

Friendly and professional front office. Excellent hygienist and dentist. Exam was thorough, including X-rays, and they answered all of my questions. Made me feel at ease. Worked with my schedule to get an appointment. Already scheduled my next cleaning. I wouldn't go anywhere else!!

Had a wonderful experience! Had to bring my 5mo baby to my last visit as my childcare failed. The staff was very understanding and professional despite the baby screaming the whole time! And of course, the work done is always top notch.

I think it's important to share our experience. If you have young children, I'd recommend you go to a pediatric dentist if your child needs fillings. Our five year old had his first cavities in the summer -- we were told they were small, but went forward with fillings so they didn't progress. Four months later our son complained of tooth pain. I took him in and after the staff fumbled to get good x-rays, we discovered that the drilling for one of the fillings had damaged a nerve essentially "killing" the tooth. Ponzio told us we'd need to see a pediatric dentist or oral surgeon to remove the tooth. The pediatric dentist confirmed that Ponzio/Dr Mike had drilled too far. Now, children can be squirmy so that could have been the culprit -- who knows -- but had that happened at a pediatric dentist they would have identified that they drilled too deep and they have another procedure that prevents nerve damage. What was frustrating was when Dr. Mike looked at me and said, "this happens more often that you'd think". Well guess what, it doesn't have to! While fortunately my son's permanent molar should grow in (in 3-4 years), he has to have a spacer and he will most likely need braces because his jaw integrity is now compromised. So, my advise to parents, spare yourself the risk and just go to a pediatric dentist.

I had lost a crown so got an emergency appointment within a few days. Little did I expect to walk out 2 hours later with a beautiful, well-fitted new crown made right there. No multiple appointments and sitting with goo in your mouth for a mold for 20 minutes. Wonderful, friendly care with everything explained and throughout the process. Highly recommend!

First time appointment. Angelique was my hygienist and she was great! Very professional, gentle, explained everything she was doing, asked questions along the way to make sure I was okay. The dentist, Mike, was very friendly, professional and competent. I've found my new dental office, yay!!

The office is clear and modern. Staffs are very nice. Liz did a good job cleaning my teeth, she is very friendly and easy to talk to. She even give me tips on how to use dental floss the right way. Dr. Benka also explain the procedure she will be doing for my very clearly. I have confidence with all the Doctors and nurses here. Thank you. Job will done.

I have been a long time patient at Ponzio Dental, but unfortunately I won't be coming back. My last two cleanings were rescheduled a day before with the exact same excuse "the hygenist had a family emergency and can't be in the office." I was very sympathetic the first time, but the second time it seems like they are trying to take advantage of my good nature. I have been a patient for almost 10 years so this is very disappointing and unfortunate. I called another dentists in the area and they saw me the same day and were polite, courteous and professional. The front desk staff at Ponzio Dental are also usually rude and difficult to work with; so I hope they use this as an opportunity for growth and to learn from their mistakes because my family and I won't be returning.

Dr. Benkha always takes her time explaining what she is going to do at this appointment then allows me to ask questions or express concerns before proceeding. As a nervous dental patient this is much appreciated. Office staff are warm and friendly. Check outs with Maria are great as she explains my bill to me before asking for payment. I'm not a fan of the dentist, but I keep coming back here to complete my needed work due to the comfort they provide me each time I go.
