I feel that I am very fortunate to be doing what I have always wanted to do. It is very easy to get up in the morning, knowing that I will be helping those in my community by improving their health and well-being. Dr. John Allen has practiced general dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery for over 20 years. He began his formal education at the University of British Columbia, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1983. Following his undergraduate education, Dr. Allen continued on at the University of British Columbia to earn his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 1993.
In order to become a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Allen received years of advanced training and education through fellowships and residencies at some of the finest institutions in the country.
In addition to being involved in two local study clubs, Dr. Allen attends annual conferences and lectures to stay current with the latest advancements in medicine and dentistry in order to serve his patients to the best of his ability. Dr. Allen is also certified in general anesthesia and advanced cardiac life support.
Originally from Vancouver, BC, Dr. Allen currently resides in Canyon Lake, CA with his wife, Monica, and their Pomeranian, Fabian. His free time is spent watching baseball and basketball, skiing, golfing, attending the opera and theatre, and traveling. Dr. Allen is also involved in his local church and participates in humanitarian medical missions in third-world countries.

Great experience, felt like I was in and out in 5 mins. Great staff I was a bit nervous but overall great experience. I will need to return for an additional wisdom tooth removal in a few months. Highly recommended for anyone looking for this type of service. Thank you again Doctor

Dr. Allen is a great surgeon, has an amazing hand as a dentist and I'm grateful to have found him. I had an infection that was caused by root canal that no other dentist would perform surgery. Dr. Allen after carful review and treatment proceeded with the surgery and today 3/4/22 I'm recovering well at home and grateful for his help to remove my infection that could had cause paralysis on my right side of the face. I was referred to Dr. Allen by my orthodontist, for a tooth extraction and bone graft. The whole thing, from start to finish, was as good an experience as anyone could hope for. The facilities are clean and modern, with up-to-date machinery and software, and Dr. Allen is pleasant and reassuring in his manner. I now have to go back for a second extraction and bone graft (unrelated to the first), and I scheduled with him without hesitation.

This man should not practice medicine. My sister weights about 120 pounds 5'3 and this guy gave her 3 times the normal anesthesia dosage for an adult. In what world does this make sense? He is by no means a professional, also did not write the incident report he was obligated to to account for the one hour my sister was in the office. Once my family told him that they were planning on getting another doctor he turned hostile and rude. I would not go for any procedures to this dentist. Don't waste your time here, make sure your family gets seen by someone who is correct and honorable.

Very clean and up to date with their medical machinery. They did almost the whole paperwork process for me and so it was pretty easy to get my surgery done. They take care in handling all patients I believe. Definitely a good recommendation for anyone looking to have any sort of dental surgery.

Surgeon told me he was going to check with my dental insurance and my medical insurance, to see which options work best for me. It's been months now and I've yet to hear back. I've called the office several times and it just rings and rings. The few times I have gotten someone on the phone they just seem clueless and tell me that they will investigate and call me back. I've yet to get that call. I shouldn't be the one to chase them down or remind them about me. Horrible experience and don't recommend this place to anyone. It's been a complete waste of time.
