Dr. David Choi graduated from the University of Pacific, School of Dentistry in 2000. He attended the University of Southern California Advanced Prosthodontics program from 2000-2002, a residency that specializes in complicated dental rehabilitations. Dr. Choi's personal experiences in dental rehabilitations include: general adult, pediatrics, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, geriatrics and implant dental care. He performs all dental work himself.
Dr. Choi believes in building long-lasting patient-doctor relationships by thoroughly understanding his patient's needs. He believes every patient should understand their dental problem, solution, options and cost before proceeding with dental treatment.
Gabby is the voice and face of Pomona Family Dental. Her caring voice is what you hear when you call our office. Her smiling face is the first thing you see when you enter our office. Previous to working at Pomona Family Dental, Gabby worked at Disney's Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. Gabby brought with her the high level of customer service from Disney and strives to create a warm and friendly environment at Pomona Family Dental.
Gonzalo is in his 10th year at Pomona Family Dental. He began his career in dentistry as a dental assistant intern at Pomona Family Dental. Gonzalo's commitment to excellence in patient care, coupled with his extensive experience has made him able to manage all aspects of the dental practice.
Luis has been with Pomona Family Dental since 2004. Luis began his career at Pomona Family Dental shortly after finishing his dental assistant schooling. Luis has assisted Dr. Choi in the most complex dental procedures and is instrumental in keeping patients comfortable throughout all dental treatments. Luis also maintains day-to-day operations of the dental facility.
Nancy began her dental career at Pomona Family Dental in 2010. She is currently attending My Dentist, School for Dental Assistants for her RDA. Nancy began her work career in the service industry, including Cold Stone Creamery and the UPS Store. Caring for patients comes naturally for Nancy. You will typically find Nancy working chairside with Dr. David.
Susan is Dr. David Choi's only sibling. Susan graduated from UC Davis in 2001 with a BS in comprehensive design and graphic design. After several years in the design industry, she chose to move closer to home and settle down close to her family. She works with Dr. David Choi in maintaining a healthy, sustainable dental practice with a focus on quality patient care and increased access to dental care for our patients.
Jackie is a registered dental hygienist. She graduated in 2005 from St. Mary's College with a BS in pyschology and a minor in Spanish. She received her certificate in dental hygiene in May 2012 from Diablo Valley College. She received her hygiene license in August 2012. Although Jackie may be new to dental hygiene, she is a veteran of the dental field. She has worked in various dental offices since 1999 in all the different positions within a dental office. Jackie understands the most important aspect of any dental practice is the quality of care patients receive.

Replaced a good filling with something bad or likely caused an infection. Now I have to do a root canal. Cannot trust.

Update Dr Choi is on vacation. * If a procedure is recommended go back to see Dr Choi In September. * New dentist has questionable practices. My dad needed "silver" to kill bacteria on a tooth. This procedure is done each visit. But because I refused root canal he refused this simple procedure. My mom supposedly had two cavities which we're not visible on the x-ray. Did she really have cavities? Overall A+ Medical Accepted Covid-19 Ready Dr Choi purchased air filters for every room and there is plenty of hand sanitizer throughout the office. Dr Choi is a great dentist overall the office staff is very friendly and office is clean. Highly recommend. Prices are extremely good. They do take Medi-Cal and do a very thorough job.

Very bad service the doctors won't take time to explain the procedures even the stuff don't have good communication or service. First time last time i will go there will not recommend this dentist place to no one

Facility is clean & Staff is great ! Dr Choi is the best . Definitely Recommend coming here. Pricing is really affordable too

I don't know why they accept walk ins if it's going to take all your day mine as well Don't do them I spent all my day sitting there from 1:25 right now it's 4 o'clock and they still haven't seen me I can't leave now.now that I lost all my day here so bad service seriously don't go in there as a walk ins you will regret it I did regret it but I'm here already I'm so disappointed in this office

I'm all about common sense and apparently the people here are only nice if you look at them nice. If your taking your children here don't bother if it's an adult they'll deal with you as for teens I'm sure they get tolerated but yes the front Office people are rude and I met 2 they will make wait even if one is available to help you out .

I am terrified of the dentist and I had to get an abscessed tooth extracted. I was asked to get a second opinion on pulling it 7 years ago and again this year. Dr. Choi looked at the xrays and said no problem I can do it today. This was a week ago and I asked to schedule today because I wasn't prepared mentally last week. I went in today I shook the whole time but he was good, they numbed it well to where I did not feel a thing, he was quick and it was done before I knew it. They also did 4 fillings which was unexpected but great to get done. I have to return to get 2 wisdom teeth extracted and I'm less afraid. Entire staff was great, office is clean and large, there are TV monitors in the exam rooms. I highly recommend Pomona Family Dental.

I am passionate when it comes to fearing the dentist. I am a grown man except for when needles are involved...and pulses...or blood pressure. I instantly transform into a 5 year old girl who was abandoned in the woods during a snowstorm surrounded by hungry wolves when I pull into dental parking lots. I came here after a really bad experience at another dentist. I immediately was made to feel at ease from reception through checkout. There's an air of competence throughout the office. Dr. David is extremely professional and it's obvious he has gained his employees respect. That brings me to the best part and forgive me for not knowing her name but I was smitten when I locked eyes with my hygienist. I was so mesmerized I barely noticed she was the sole cause of metal air tools grinding against my teeth. I am looking into the possibility of doubling my future cleaning appointments. After today, I feel it is very important to my overall well being. Thank you to the entire staff for making a very uncomfortable experience, tolerable. And to the hygienist, for actually making it somewhat pleasant.
