Dr. Yvonne Shu is a Chinese descendant but was born in Ecuador (South America). Because of her background, she is fluent in English, Spanish, and Cantonese. She graduated from dental school in Ecuador and finished her graduate training in Endodontics in Bogota, Colombia. After moving to California 30 years ago, she graduated from dental school at the University of Southern California (USC). Dr. Shu has been practicing at her current location for 20 years. In her free time, Dr. Shu loves spending time with her grandchildren, serving at her church, and decorating at party events.

Dr. Shus son, Dr. Marcelo Romero-Shu has been working at the practice from a young age and his passion for dentistry grew quickly. He started as a sterilization clerk, worked as a dental assistant, and ultimately went on to attend dental school at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. After practicing in Wisconsin for 5 years, Dr. Romero-Shu moved back to California and joined Pomona Dental Practice. He has extensive advanced training in orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and implant dentistry. Dr. Romero-Shu has two sons and enjoys golfing, working on cars, and spending time outdoors.

Together Dr. Shu and Dr. Romero-Shu are continuing to offer the high level of care that their patients have grown accustomed to. We are proud to be a family owned practice that will offer the same quality of care to the next generation.

Her responsibilities as the office manager at Pomona Dental Practice include overseeing daily business operations, while also being the number one advocate for the patients dental needs. Griselda is the point of contact for all matters related to insurance verification as her years of experience allow her to easily obtain information regarding coverage and benefits. Griselda has consistently provided excellent service with an inviting smile for 20 years.

Griselda is a dedicated wife, mother of four children, and has a dog named Zeus. She loves to spend time with her family and cook their favorite meals, as well as partake in her newly acquired hobby of crafting.

Betty is another of our key members of our team. Betty started 20 years ago at Pomona Dental Practice with Dr. Shu. Betty received her RDA license 15 years ago. As our clinical manager she makes sure that all our patients receive the highest quality and we are constantly meeting their needs and expectations. She is in charge of making sure our clinic runs smoothly. She loves to interact with the patients.

Angelica has been part of Pomona Dental Practice for almost four years as an x-ray technician and dental assistant. She has a very gentle and caring demeanor. Angelica will greet you with a smile every single time you visit the office. She is always available to listen to her patients and address any questions or concerns the patient might have.

Angelica is a dedicated wife and mother, and a grandmother to a beautiful baby boy. She loves to go off-roading on quads with her three boys, her husband, and her family. As a child, she rode quads with her parents and loves that she gets to pass on the tradition.

Natali is a kind and charismatic worker, who is always willing to go the extra mile to serve in her professional and personal life. She loves her profession so much that she commutes to Pomona from Rialto every day! Outside of work, Natali is a dedicated mother and loves spending time with her family. Natali has a beautiful 5 year old Daughter nicknamed Juli who keeps her daily life busy with her curious mind and independent spirit.

Furthermore, she attends and serves as a greeter on Sundays in her hometown church in the city of San Bernardino. Her hobbies include reading, personal writing, & enjoying meals with family and friends.
