Dr. Salamy is a native San Diegan. He grew up in Allied Gardens, near San Diego State, and attended Patrick Henry High School. After graduating from high school, Dr. Salamy received an undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley, and then attended the U.C.L.A. School of Dentistry. Dr. Salamy then returned to the beautiful San Diego/Poway area and formed what eventually became Pomerado Dental.

Dr. Snyder grew up in the West Hills area of Los Angeles. After graduating from high school, she attended U.C. Berkeley, and then the UCLA School of Dentistry. She also completed a one year residency at the Martinez VA Outpatient Clinic.

The doctors both grew up in southern California, both went to Cal for their undergraduate studies, and both went to UCLA for dental school. Dr. Snyder moved to San Diego after her General Practice Residency in Martinez. The doctors then married and formed Pomerado Dental.

Both dentists are members of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the San Diego County Dental Society. Both have received extra training in cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, and the NTI-tss headache prevention device.

Outside of the office, Dr. Salamy and Dr. Snyder enjoy spending time with their three sons and staying involved with the Poway community. You will find some of their favorite local establishments in the Community News section of the website.

Our family has been seeing Dr. Snyder and Dr Sal for almost 20 years and we've had nothing but the best service from the entire office

I'm new to this dentist and my first appointment was great. I had a cleaning and was informed of a cavity that I needed to have filled. Because of their limited hours, I had to schedule 3 months in advance for the filling and scheduled my next cleaning for 6 months as well. After talking to the ladies at the front, we finally found a day that worked with both schedules and I scheduled it. Come the day of my filling, I was in 5 minutes early and tell the front desk lady that I have a 9:30 appointment. She informs me that there is nothing scheduled for me at all, not until my 6 month cleaning. She was very unhelpful in assisting me in any fashion. I had to ask all of the question "Is there any time today where the doctor can see me?" "Do you have any other available times this week?" "Can I reschedule?" "Can you help me reschedule?". Really slow questions that she gave one word answers to. We finally got another date schedule for 2 weeks later and she handed me the reminder card with the wrong name on it... I corrected her and asked that it was actually in the system this time and she gave me an "of course it is, do you think I'm dumb" look. Sorry if I offended you ma'am, I just don't want another missed appointment. Throughout the whole process, she never once looked or said sorry on behalf of the company, if anything, she looked like I was a nuisance. I have the original card with the date and time and so I am sure it was not my mistake but she sure seemed to think it was. Hopefully my next appointment is like my first otherwise I won't be going back.
