Dr. Valeri Sacknoff has been acknowledged numerous times by her professional colleagues as one of San Diego Magazines Top Dentists. She has received the award for many consecutive years, including every year from 2013 through 2017. Dr. Valeri Sacknoff grew up in Chicago, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Dental Hygiene in 1975 from Loyola University. After practicing as a dental hygienist for five years, she continued her dental education and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University in 1981. In 1983, she moved to San Diego, where she raised her three daughters in Rancho Peasquitos and has been in private practice ever since.

In addition to having a father who was a dentist, Dr. Sacknoff spent 10 years working as a Dental Hygienist. This background formed a strong foundation for her belief in preventive dentistry. It also further pushed her toward her goal of becoming a dentist that patients can trust, one who will work hard to ensure they receive the best care available.

Dr. Sacknoff continues to improve her knowledge of dentistry by attending dental education classes and seminars across the country. She has received additional training and education from Obstructive Sleep Airway University and the Scottsdale Center of Dentistry. Dr. Sacknoff is a firm believer in the connection between dentistry and medicine, and has a full understanding of the importance of good oral health to an individuals overall health. Her studies at Obstructive Sleep Airway University are reflective of this; with obstructive sleep airway screening now available at our dental office, Dr. Sacknoff can work with a patients physician to identify early signs of severe sleep apnea (a serious health condition) and help create a treatment plan.

Dr. Sacknoff is also dedicated to giving back to our community and utilizing her dental expertise to help those in need. Her local church presents an annual Health Fair at which both adults and children are screened for dental problems. Toothbrushes and toothpaste are also donated at the event, and important dental education is provided so that individuals can help themselves maintain good at-home oral hygiene habits. Dr. Sacknoff is also committed to volunteering at the Poway Health Fair and various community outreach programs.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Sacknoff enjoys cooking for family and friends, dancing, and many other hobbies. She and her husband love to travel, especially to Jazz concerts! Dr. Sacknoff is the mother of three daughters and grandmother to an amazing grandson, Declan.

Dr. Robbi Wilson is a native of San Diego. He found a passion for dentistry early on, back when he was in high school. After figuring out he worked well with his hands, loved helping people, and had a knack for solving problems, dentistry seemed like the natural selection. He also appreciates a great smile!

After graduating one B+ short of valedictorian at Mira Mesa High School, Dr. Wilson went on to attend UCSD, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology. He was then accepted into UCLAs prestigious School of Dentistry, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. Dr. Wilson further trained at the Veterans Dental Clinic in Los Angeles, where he was able to help treat many U.S. veterans in need of good dental work. After five years in L.A. Dr. Wilson couldnt wait to come back to his beloved San Diego!

Dr. Wilson prides himself on minimizing pain and maximizing comfort while correcting his patients dental concerns. Dr. Wilson very carefully delivers local anesthetic and offers various forms of sedation dentistry, as well as pillows, blankets, and music or movies to enjoy during your treatment visits. Dr. Wilson always takes his time when explaining treatment needs and the many options available to our patients. He will attempt to thoroughly answer all questions you may have. Dr. Wilson will always treat you like you are family and give you 100% of his attention and skills every time you see him.

Dr. Wilson is constantly staying up to date with all the new and exciting innovations in general, restorative, and cosmetic dental treatment. He belongs to multiple Study Clubs, including Spear, ITI, and CEREC. Dr. Wilson consistently attends continuing education seminars and workshops to perfect his craft.

Dr. Wilson is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Biomimetic Dentistry, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the local San Diego County Dental Society. He is a certified Invisalign provider and trained in dental sleep medicine.

Dr. Wilson is also a health nut! He is big on proper nutrition and exercise, and enjoys working out, camping, hiking, snowboarding, surfing, Tae Kwon Boxing, bowling, golfing, and gardening just to name a few. Dr. Wilson has been living in San Diegos north county his whole life and loves being able to work in the community in which he also lives. He has lived in Mira Mesa, Scripps Ranch, Rancho Bernardo, and now the Del Sur / 4S Ranch area. Dr. Wilson has two young children, Malia and Jackson, and another on the way! Dr. Wilsons children go to school in the Poway Unified School District, in which his wife Michelle is an avid volunteer in the PTA and her childrens classrooms.

Lorrie has been with Pomerado Cosmetic Dentistry since 2002. She started her dental career in 1982 as an RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) and has been involved in office management for more than 20 years. Lorrie has been trained and educated at Palomar College, San Diego State University, and San Diego City College. She keeps our office in top shape by overseeing the staff and the daily schedule, contacting insurance companies, and performing a number of important tasks to make your visit as convenient and efficient as possible.

We have a fun and loving staff that is dedicated to providing our patients the best possible care. All patients deserve compassion and excellent dental treatment, and we treat everyone like they are part of our own family.

Donna Moore has been with Pomerado Cosmetic Dentistry since 2002. In 1981 she received her education in dental hygiene from Miami-Dade College in Florida. After moving to San Diego in 1982 she passed her board examination at UCLA and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist ever since. Donna continues to improve her knowledge of dental hygiene by attending various continuing education classes and seminars in California.

Jamie accepted a part-time position with Pomerado Cosmetic Dentistry in 2015. Jamie was born and raised in San Diego but attended Hygiene School in Florida and passed her board examination in 2007. Jamie continues to improve her skill set by attending seminars and education classes. Jamie is married and has a daughter named Olivia.

Tiffanie joined Pomerado Cosmetic Dentistry in 2002. In 2003 she took her California State exam to become a Registered Dental Assistant. Shortly after receiving her RDA she decided to further her education in 2005 and became a member of the first graduating class at UCLA to receive her Registered Dental Assistant Expanded Functions license. In 2010 she was accepted again at UCLA to complete the Registered Dental Assistant Expanded Functions II license, allowing her to perform an advanced list of procedures for our dental patients. She continues to maintain her state license by completing continuing education courses throughout the year. Tiffanie routinely assists our dentists on many of the treatments we offer here at our practice and is highly adept with work involving fillings, crown placement, and teeth polishing. She also serves as a dental implant coordinator here at Pomerado Cosmetic Dentistry.

We have a great team and we truly care about our patients. Helping them achieve a healthy, beautiful smile, making them comfortable, and treating every individual the way I would want to be treated are some of the most enjoyable aspects of my job!

Lily joined Pomerado Cosmetic Dentistry in 2005. She graduated with a certificate in Dental Assisting at Mesa College in 1987. She later took the California State Exam to become a Registered Dental Assistant and maintains her license by attending various continuing education courses throughout the year. She holds a variety of certifications, including a CAD/CAM CEREC certification and an Obstructive Sleep certification. She often works with the CEREC Same Day Dental Crown system to help design state-of-the-art, customized dental crowns and bridges.

Yesenia grew up in San Diego and is a Mission Hills High School Graduate. In May of 2011 she graduated from U.E.I. with a certificate in Dental Assisting. One of our dental sleep medicine team members, Yesenia has obtained an Obstructive Sleep Airway certification and assists with sleep apnea treatment and a a range of other treatments here at our practice. A few of her many daily tasks include performing dental x-ray procedures, serving as a second pair of eyes and hands for our dentists, and doing what she can to make patients feel comfortable.

Our staff always works as a team and we are constantly focused on how we can make the treatment experience better for patients.
