Dr. Tuong Nguyen Nguyen is proud to lead a remarkable staff of specialists as well as a professional and diverse support staff. Our patients benefit from the convenience of a staff that speaks multiple languages. Dr. Nguyen speaks several languages including English, Vietnamese, and French. In addition, he is currently learning Spanish and Mandarin. One of our staff members even speaks Farsi. We strive to stay on the cutting edge of technology to bring you safe and efficient procedures. Dr. Tuong Nguyen Nguyen is a native of Saigon, Vietnam but has spent most of his youth in Brussels, Belgium. He attended the Catholic University of Louvain and graduated from the School of Dental Medicine and Stomatology in 1997. From 1997 to 1999, Dr. Nguyen practiced part-time in private practice and devoted the rest of his time as a faculty member at his Alma Mater. Subsequently, Dr. Nguyen attended the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine and earned a certificate in Endodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry degree in 2001. From 2001 to 2008, Dr. Nguyen was a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Endodontics at both the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and the Oregon Health Science University School of Dentistry.

Dr. Winn stands up to the likes of corporate dentistry as proof that time and productivity is achievable without sacrificing quality of care. His extensive knowledge of endo and laser therapies gives his patients state of the art treatment with a "Mom and Pop" atmosphere that they long for in an office. I would highly recommend Polaris Dental Specialists for all your endo needs both great and small!

Dr Nguyen welcomed me to his care for a root canal with caring and confidence in his speciality. State of the art diagnostics and laser technology were offered. My root canal was complicated and I may have had to have oral surgery, however, Dr Nguyen and Amanda worked as a skilled, caring and professional team and I was spared surgery. The dental chair was very comfortable, music soothing and I was so relaxed during the procedure that it was as close to a spa like experience you could have in a dental chair getting a root canal! The front office staff were professional and caring.

This place is awesome. The staff is more.than qualified..State of the Art Equipment and very friendly. Came in on an emeegency, they worked me in and made themselves available 24 hrs. Very concerned about the patient's comfort and well-being. Highly recommended.

Best dentist I have ever had, and as a girl that has struggled with major anxiety when going to the dentist, that is saying a lot. The doctors and other staff members are unbelievably kind and really care about you. I would recommend Polaris Dental Specialists to anyone!

I have had 2 mouth gum graft surgeries and a frenectomy this past summer (2015) all done with Dr. Makkattil. The first surgery he pretty much grafted almost all of the upper portion of my gums and did a frenectomy, and the 2nd surgery he grafted the front bottom portion of my gums. I am so pleased with the results. My gums look so much better than I anticipated, you can't even tell there was any gum grafting done! And the care I have received from Dr. Makkattil and all of the other members of his team have been excellent. By the end of my initial consultation visit with Dr. Makkattil and the interactions I had with the office staff that day, I knew my mouth would be in good and talented hands! Other than needing to be careful with my mouth with the stitches and healing, I have not had any complications. I will be highly recommending Dr. Makkattil to anyone that I know that needs gum grafting! -Carolyn

They made sure i was comfortable. Changing the radio station. talking to me. comforting me, fanning me while i was having a hot flash. Every one was nice and helpful. See you in 6 months
