Absolutely not! This is a great question because of the uptick in corporate dental offices in Columbus. We feel these offices simply dont deliver the same quality of care for patients and we continue to remain locally owned. Polaris Dental Care is 100% owned by Dr. Irfan Khan, DDS, who resides in Columbus. We are an independent office and take great pride in the level of personal service we can provide by being independently owned.
Our doctors may work between some of our offices. If you have a preference for anyone in particular, we will accommodate it. Some of our patients prefer to only see 1 doctor, while others prefer to just see whos available. Some even prefer anyone for their 6 month exams and then prefer actual treatment be rendered by a certain dentist. We are flexible and will respect your preferences.
Yes, you can! Our hygienists enjoy seeing the same patients too. Please note that our Hygienists also have personal family lives, and although we strive to keep their times consistent we may have scheduling changes at the last minute. Well do everything we can to accommodate you.
Our dentists strive for continuing education and learning. Dr Khan takes over 100 hours of education every year, which is over 5 times the requirement! Dr Khan is skilled and certified for IV Sedation, Dr Norris is Invisalign certified, and Dr Davis work in the Navy after dental school for several years improving his skills. Dr. Khan grew up in Central Ohio, attending London High School, and then attended The Ohio State University for both his Bachelors degree and also his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. After dental school he has received further training at the Midwest Implant Institute, Mid Continent Orthodontics, AlignTech Institute, Duquesne University, and many other courses. He continues to pursue education to always stay current with modern techniques and products.
Dr. Khan created Polaris Dental Care because he believes in providing personalized, quality treatment to every single patient. He emphasizes treating our patients with compassion, educating our patients using the most up to date techniques, and delivering the highest quality care in the most pain-free way possible. He constantly strives to learn and improve. For example, he takes 6-7 times the amount of continuing education the state requires. His love for technology is why we are always implementing new tech to help deliver the highest quality care.
At Polaris Dental Care, Dr. Khan and his dedicated team provide patients with a wide variety of procedures; everything from fillings and crowns to implants, braces, root canals and removing wisdom teeth.
Dr. Khan volunteers time at free dental events annually, believing that everyone should have access to care. In the past few years, Dr. Irfan Khan has given free dental care to over a hundred patients through the Dentistry From The Heart program.
Dr. SambaNorris grew up in Cleveland, Ohio before moving to Columbus to become a lifelong Buckeye! She received her Bachelors Degree at The Ohio State University before moving to Pittsburgh where she obtained a Masters in Epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. Being a Buckeye at heart, she decided to return to Columbus and earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at The Ohio State University. Valuing education, Dr. Norris enjoys staying up to date on the latest research and techniques in the field of dentistry.
Dr. Norris loves to take a comprehensive approach in helping patients to obtain a healthy and beautiful smile. She also understands the importance of educating patients so that they can reach and exceed their oral health goals. Dr. Norris is passionate about taking care of her patients and making them feel comfortable while providing them with excellent dental care.
When Dr. Norris isnt at the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching Ohio State Football, cooking, playing the violin and running. She also enjoys volunteering in the Columbus community.
Dr. Ryan Davis grew up in Columbus, Ohio, attending St. Francis DeSales High School. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 2004 with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene and again in 2008 from the College of Dentistry with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Dr. Davis served as a dentist in the United States Navy at Camp LeJeune, NC, with the US Marine Corps. until July of 2011. He and his wife, Maggie, returned to Ohio and reside in Delaware with their three children, Finn, Rowan, and Sadie.
Dr. Davis believes that each patient should be treated with utmost respect and the best care available. He thinks communication is the key to effective dental health, and patient education and understanding are invaluable to achieving our goals. He makes every effort to create a pain-free, relaxed atmosphere while providing quality dental care to all of his patients. He takes numerous continuing education course each year to stay current on many dental topics.

They promote themselves as being an emergency dental provider but they are not. They are like any other medical office. If they have an opening and can schedule you they will. If not you are out of luck with them.

A simply beautiful facility. Up to date. Modern. Feels like a day spa. Friendly and skilled staff. Love Dr. Khan's chair side manor. I'll continue to have all of my dental care done here. I'm highly satisfied. AAA+ compared to my old dentist.

I've been seeing Dr Kahn for a couple of years and he always makes me feel at ease. The hygienist I had most recently at Polaris location was SO gentle on my teeth too, she was the best!

Super friendly, prompt and excellent cleanings. Big props to Cassie. Comfortable x-ray process and sensible advice from Dr. Khan. My 4-1/2 year old also enjoys the visits and the staff make it as fun and easy as possible for my child.

Bad dentists and bad staff/service. Everyone is fake-nice; smiling while being rude doesn't equal being friendly. My partner was made uncomfortable and repeatedly nervous about her procedure, which is not how you should interact with a patient. Go literally anywhere else.

I've been going here for awhile now. I've always had a great experience. And while everyone is always super friendly, today I not only had a super friendly hygienist, but I also had the most thorough and best cleaning I've ever had. Jennifer is the best! I've had one of the best experiences today. I went in and everyone was exceptional. The receptionists, dental hygienist and dentist were all great. I had to get a filling done today. They were so gracious about it and walked me though everything. My teeth has always been an issue for me, but they made me feel comfortable and double checked the numbing (they had no idea I was nervous about it). Highly recommend and Thank you!

I hadn't been to the dentist in 15+ years due to a bad experience as a kid. Turns out I metabolize anesthestic very quickly and don't numb easily. I just got 3 fillings done today and everyone was absolutely amazing. Dr. Kahn is wonderful, and I'm so thankful I came to you guys for help. Thank you so, so much. You guys are truly the best!

I have been going to Polaris Dental Care since 2016/2017 and I will never go anywhere else. I have had everything done here from cleanings to ivisalign and Dr. Khan is the most amazing dentist. I even have my mom going to him now and he's a 45 minute drive from her but so worth it. They care about their patients and I know almost everyone in that facility. Sam is an amazing dental hygienist and Christy is great with making the scheduling and billing a easy process! I just really love this place and I would highly recommend. I've never had a better experience anywhere else. I never get anxious for having to go to the dentist because they are GOOD at what they do. (:

The staff at Polaris Dental Care are so welcoming. I had a tooth extraction, and they made me feel comfortable before, during and after the procedure. Dr Khan was professional. He kept me informed as well as checked up on me periodically. I can't wait to go back for my fillings and cleaning. Dr Khan is great! :)
