Absolutely not! This is a great question because of the uptick in corporate dental offices in Columbus. We feel these offices simply dont deliver the same quality of care for patients and we continue to remain locally owned. Polaris Dental Care is 100% owned by Dr. Irfan Khan, DDS, who resides in Columbus. We are an independent office and take great pride in the level of personal service we can provide by being independently owned.
Our doctors may work between some of our offices. If you have a preference for anyone in particular, we will accommodate it. Some of our patients prefer to only see 1 doctor, while others prefer to just see whos available. Some even prefer anyone for their 6 month exams and then prefer actual treatment be rendered by a certain dentist. We are flexible and will respect your preferences.
Yes, you can! Our hygienists enjoy seeing the same patients too. Please note that our Hygienists also have personal family lives, and although we strive to keep their times consistent we may have scheduling changes at the last minute. Well do everything we can to accommodate you.
Our dentists strive for continuing education and learning. Dr Khan takes over 100 hours of education every year, which is over 5 times the requirement! Dr Khan is skilled and certified for IV Sedation, Dr Norris is Invisalign certified, and Dr Davis work in the Navy after dental school for several years improving his skills. Dr. Khan grew up in Central Ohio, attending London High School, and then attended The Ohio State University for both his Bachelors degree and also his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. After dental school he has received further training at the Midwest Implant Institute, Mid Continent Orthodontics, AlignTech Institute, Duquesne University, and many other courses. He continues to pursue education to always stay current with modern techniques and products.
Dr. Khan created Polaris Dental Care because he believes in providing personalized, quality treatment to every single patient. He emphasizes treating our patients with compassion, educating our patients using the most up to date techniques, and delivering the highest quality care in the most pain-free way possible. He constantly strives to learn and improve. For example, he takes 6-7 times the amount of continuing education the state requires. His love for technology is why we are always implementing new tech to help deliver the highest quality care.
At Polaris Dental Care, Dr. Khan and his dedicated team provide patients with a wide variety of procedures; everything from fillings and crowns to implants, braces, root canals and removing wisdom teeth.
Dr. Khan volunteers time at free dental events annually, believing that everyone should have access to care. In the past few years, Dr. Irfan Khan has given free dental care to over a hundred patients through the Dentistry From The Heart program.
Dr. SambaNorris grew up in Cleveland, Ohio before moving to Columbus to become a lifelong Buckeye! She received her Bachelors Degree at The Ohio State University before moving to Pittsburgh where she obtained a Masters in Epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. Being a Buckeye at heart, she decided to return to Columbus and earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at The Ohio State University. Valuing education, Dr. Norris enjoys staying up to date on the latest research and techniques in the field of dentistry.
Dr. Norris loves to take a comprehensive approach in helping patients to obtain a healthy and beautiful smile. She also understands the importance of educating patients so that they can reach and exceed their oral health goals. Dr. Norris is passionate about taking care of her patients and making them feel comfortable while providing them with excellent dental care.
When Dr. Norris isnt at the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching Ohio State Football, cooking, playing the violin and running. She also enjoys volunteering in the Columbus community.
Dr. Ryan Davis grew up in Columbus, Ohio, attending St. Francis DeSales High School. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 2004 with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene and again in 2008 from the College of Dentistry with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Dr. Davis served as a dentist in the United States Navy at Camp LeJeune, NC, with the US Marine Corps. until July of 2011. He and his wife, Maggie, returned to Ohio and reside in Delaware with their three children, Finn, Rowan, and Sadie.
Dr. Davis believes that each patient should be treated with utmost respect and the best care available. He thinks communication is the key to effective dental health, and patient education and understanding are invaluable to achieving our goals. He makes every effort to create a pain-free, relaxed atmosphere while providing quality dental care to all of his patients. He takes numerous continuing education course each year to stay current on many dental topics.

Gotta admit, I was a little nervous today knowing that we were going to get 2 teeth prepped for crowns. The front desk staff were all smiles and made me feel comfortable. The Dental Assistant, who has worked with me before was also comforting and answered all of my questions. Dr. Khan got me numbed up (I never felt the needle) and when we were ready, I put on my headphones, dialed up some Nine Inch Nails and we were off to the races. I planned on 90 minutes but was in an out in a little over an hour. Dr. Khan is fastidious in his work which gave me the confidence knowing I was in great hands. I would recommend Polaris Dental to EVERYONE who needs a great dentist with a great staff. I grade the experience AAA+.

Going to the Dentist has always been a horror show for me but my first visit here with Dr. Khan and his team was wonderful. From the front desk employees to Jess (The Crown Queen), my experience was excellent. I felt at home the whole time and my Dental Anxiety diminished as soon as I walked in the door and received a warm welcome. The professionalism, strong knowledge and friendly atmosphere will bring me back here again. Thank you!

Love this place. My hygienist was so knowledgable and explained everything she was doing in detail, and provided me with context and tips for caring for my mouth that I haven't heard from other dentist offices. The dentist was also knowledgable and made me very comfortable. I inquired about Invisalign and got information without any pushy sales. The front desk staff is so friendly and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Definitely one of my better dentist experiences!

What a wonderful experience! Check in was a breeze and the staff all wore smiles. Ellen and Lara made me feel especially at home right when I entered the door. Ally the hygienist was very friendly, efficient, and compassionate during my entire cleaning. Dr. Magno was very helpful in showing me what an Invisalign case entails and answering my questions. She is a charismatic and knowledgable dentist! 5/5 stars for the whole office!

I've always had a pleasant experience at Polaris Dental (Grandview). From the administrative staff, to the dental hygienists and Dr Magno, everyone is so friendly and helpful. My visits are always on time and I never feel like I'm being taken advantage of (such as for unnecessary procedures). Highly recommend!

I couldn't be more impressed or satisfied with the level of service I've received here. This staff deserves some kind of an award for their friendliness and professionalism -- just good vibes all around. I also can't say enough about Ally; she's super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. In my opinion, she's like the Meryl Streep of dental hygienists -- the best in the biz! I'd recommend this entire team to anyone and I won't be going anywhere else!

I had a upper tooth (6) extraction back in May 2021. I was recommended to have a bone graft. When I was back to Poland (January 2022) I went directly to my dentist and it turned out that there is no any mark of the bone graft (paid 700 USD). Totally disapointed becouse I lost 6 months and paid 700 USD for wrong procedure.

After relocating to Columbus, I knew I needed to find a new primary dentist. When asking my local peers for recommendations, I heard nothing but great things about Polaris Dental Care in Grandview. From my first cleaning and on, Dr. Khan and his team were very knowledgeable, informative and patient during my visit. I walked away feeling extremely satisfied with the friendly and helpful staff members that go above and beyond to make sure that I have a quick, painless and quality visit. Highly recommend! :)

What a pleasant experience! Yes, going to the dentist! I go to the Grandview office.The staff is friendly and professional and the office is clean. Dr. Irfan Khan will not waste your time having to make multiple trips if he can help it. He has highly trained staff. Samantha, is very knowledgeable and thorough when explaining procedures and what to expect. She assists Dr. Khan, but in addition, she has had additional education and is actually a dental auxiliary. And it shows. I would recommend Polaris Dental Care Grandview. I'm very satisfied with the care, and the handling of my billing.

If you are looking for an excellent but conservative dentist I strongly recommend Dr. Ryan Davis. He has friendly and patient staff too! No push to redo everything in your mouth just facts about needed dental work. Feeling good and glad I made the switch to Dr. Ryan!
