Dr. Elias is an orthodontic specialist who remembers wanting to be a dentist long before she really understood what went into a dental career! During her teenage years, she learned how valuable a beautiful smile was and how it could effect one's self-esteem, self-confidence, and overall quality of life.
Dr. Elias' academic career and training is diverse. She completed an undergraduate and graduate degree in Materials Science & Engineering at The Ohio State University. Motivated by an interest in research and dentistry, she went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Medicine and a Ph.D in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Connecticut. Her training gives her a unique understanding of the materials, mechanics, and bone biology invaluable to orthodontic tooth movement.
After dental school, Dr. Elias completed her postgraduate training and earned a M.S. and Certificate in Orthodontics from The Ohio State University. The training she received was comprehensive and involved collaborate work with the oral surgeons to treat orthognathic surgical cases, craniofacial teams to treat patients with cleft palate, and restorative dental specialists to give people the smile of their dreams. After her formal training, she worked in private practice treating children, teenagers, and adults and also served as a part-time faculty at the UT Health School of Dentistry. Dr. Elias relocated to Michigan in 2018 and is privileged to offer orthodontic care to the Macomb and Wayne communities. In practice, she utilizes many techniques and appliances including expanders, mini-implants, traditional braces, esthetic ceramic braces, lingual braces, among others.
She is active within the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and local dental organizations. Through participation with these organizations, she consistently exceeds state mandated continuing education requirements with the goal of providing the best care and experience for you and your family.
Dr. David Bartolovic is originally from Windsor, Ontario. He is a Michigan Board Certified prosthodontist who has been practicing dentistry in the Metro Detroit area since 2004. Prosthodontists are experts in the restoration and replacement of teeth they make smiles look beautiful and function the way they should.
Dr. Dave attended the University of Windsor where he earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree with a major in Biology. He is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S.) in 2000. He went on to pursue further education at Indiana University School of Dentistry, obtaining his Prosthodontics Certificate in 2003 and a Masters of Science Degree in Dentistry (M.S.D.) in 2005.
Dr. Dave is currently on the Michigan Dental Association Peer Review Committee for the specialty of prosthodontics, and is very involved in organized dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Oakland County Dental Society, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, and the American College of Prosthodontists. Dr. Bartolovic has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education, focusing on cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. He completed the surgical implant dentistry curriculum at the Hands On Training Institute in London, Ontario, and has also obtained extensive training at Montefiore Hospital in New York, becoming certified in both oral and I.V. conscious sedation.
From a young age, Dr. Dave knew dentistry was his calling. He has an absolute love for his profession and is completely devoted to taking care of each and every one of his patients with the utmost care and concern.
