Dr. Alvarado attended college in Orlando, Florida at the University of Central Florida where she received a Bachelors degree in Biology. Later, she decided to move back to her hometown of San Juan, Puerto Rico where she attended the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine and received her DMD. Before diving into orthodontics she received two years of additional training in general dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. Afterwards, she returned to the University of Puerto Rico to specialize in orthodontics where she received her Certificate in Orthodontics, as well as a Masters of Science in Dentistry after three years of specialized graduate training.

Dr. Alvarado and staff are amazing. All of them are kind, caring, professional, and great at what they do. I did Invisalign, and am so pleased with my results. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I recommend this office to everyone who is thinking of orthodontic work.

Can't say enough good things about Dr. A and her staff! They are both professional and friendly, and did an incredible job with my orthodontic work (through a pandemic, no less). The facility is clean and inviting, and everyone always makes an effort to say "hello" and ask how you are. I did Invisalign with them, and am very happy with the results. If you are thinking about pursuing Invisalign or other orthodontic treatment, definitely put Plymouth Orthodontics at the top of your list!

Dr. Karla Alvarado and her staff are welcoming from the moment you step in the door. The reception area is well set up for refreshments and we loved that there was a jigsaw puzzle area which kept my kids entertained. The healthy snack basket helped too! Dr. Alvarado was really professional and kind and reassuring to my kids and took her time detailing every aspect of their visit. I would highly recommend. The Dr. and her staff are really quite wonderful.

Dr. Alvarado and the staff at Plymouth Orthodontics are truly amazing! Since our very first office visit, my nervous nelly of a daughter felt comfortable with Dr.Alvarado, which was a huge relief. The office is clean with state of the art equipment and the decor is bright and cheery. Our appointments are never rushed, always thorough...and my daughters teeth are looking great! I'd highly recommend Dr.Alvarado at Plymouth Orthodontics!

As a 27 year old now going through orthodontic treatment, I never thought I'd finally go through with braces until my first consultation with Plymouth Orthodontics! Dr Alvarado and her team are amazing, they made me feel at ease and bumped up my confidence! I am so pleased with how my treatment is going, and no one can see my braces because they are clear!!! I really cannot stress enough how incredible Dr. Alvarado is! The most caring, professional, skilled dentist I have ever been to.. The staff were absolutely amazing and knowledgeable and all around fun to interact with. The office was welcoming and had a great vibe to it. Really glad I found this location, they made me love my dental visit!!!

I am a general dentist, practiced for 15 years, and had the pleasure and privilege of working with Dr. Alvarado. She is extremely thorough and gives great care to exact detail and aesthetics. She has a wonderful chair side manner that can put any patient at ease. I would highly recommend her to any patient and consider her an esteemed colleague and exceptional orthodontist.
