This is a wonderful practice. I had a large molar extracted by Dr. Cannavo. I was a bit nervous but he made sure I was very comfortable and explained everything. He is kind, reassuring and a very skilled Oral & Facial Surgeon. Our family has been going to this practice for years and it continues to be fabulous. The addition of Dr. Matt Cannavo to this practice is icing on the cake!!

Did not continue with my appointment because staff at front counter were rude, condescending, and very unprofessional. Took my business elsewhere and glad I did.

This office doesn't participate with any insurance. The receptionist said they will bill your BCBS BUT not Medicare. That's fine but then the receptionist stated in order to be seen I would have to sign a "contract" stating I wouldn't bill Medicare and if I did the office would notify Medicare. I understand not accepting Medicare but to tell patients they can't bill their insurance themselves seems deceptive. It's too bad but it is what it is. Update after owners response: It sounds like some staff training is in order because the receptionist specifically stated I could not submit to Medicare for reimbursement. I had no issue with the fact you don't participate with insurance or Medicare but stating patients must sign something that states a patient will not seek reimbursement with their insurance carrier seems deceptive and possibly fraudulent. If it's a case of miscommunication then a statement explaining this would have been appropriate. My daughter was seen by your staff so it isn't like I didn't know about your office practices and also that I didn't have any other dental options.

They wouldn't take our secondary insurance which would have made it no cost for the procedure which is understandable but they wouldn't let me have a payment plan to pay the balance owed to them. The full cost of the procedure had to be paid in full before they would do it, so I paid them. Then I received a bill in the mail later stating that they miscalculated what I had to pay. The experience was extremely frustrating.....

The doctors and staff at this practice are second to none! As a dental specialist myself, I have a "behind the scenes" look at many practices and I would never send my family anywhere else. Dr. Wasielewski is the most genuine, kind-hearted, caring, ethical and skilled oral surgeon in Michigan and the Plymouth/Ann Arbor community is so fortunate to have him around.

Everyone is very friendly and courteous. Everything was explained to me in depth. The dentist was a hoot and made you feel comfortable. Getting a tooth pulled is not top on the fun scale. How sense of humor was great.

Five starts is not a high enough rating to describe the service I received at this office. I was seen by Dr. Cannavo and his diligence in doing everything he could to give me extraordinary care literally saved me thousands of dollars and months of discomfort. Dr. Cannavo's integrity and professionalism in treating me was exceptional.

I can't speak highly enough of Dr Wasielewski's skill and bedside manner. Between a challenging tooth extraction and the multiple appointments involved in placing a dental implant, I went home everytime with very little pain and no complications. Him and his staff were always so friendly and welcoming. I would recommend him to anyone needing oral surgery.

My wife had a cracked tooth extracted here and she was back home playing the kids in less than an hour. It was bothering her a lot and not only did they accommodate her but got her in early the day after Thanksgiving. Six hours later and still no pain! Dr. Wasielewski is an outstanding oral surgeon and a heck of a nice guy too! If you need an extraction, this is the place you want to go!

Dr. Cannavo Was patient and understanding during our pre surgery consultation. He really took his time to help make me feel comfortable. I had three wisdom teeth removed without being put to sleep and it was a pain free experience. I love how they billed the day of the operation! Not all people would like that, but the surprise billing practices in our healthcare system drive me crazy so I think it's great! The friendly welcoming staff and experience I had is enough for me to say I would recommend Plymouth oral surgery to anyone needing oral surgery. Thank you all again!

Dr. Wasielewski - The Wonderful Wisdom Tooth Wizard! I was 38 with 4 impacted wisdom teeth, at least one nearly touching the root of the 2nd molar, and the lowers dangerously close to the nerve. At 28 someone else told me I was too old and high risk. 10 years later things weren't exactly better (and I was scared). What we have here is a mouth miracle worker. Yes, I woke up not knowing who I was and feeling like I had been punched in the face, but 2 days later I was down to only ibuprofen and had full feeling in my entire face. A few days after that, I no longer looked like a chipmunk. My one week follow-up went so much better than anyone expected. I'm 100%. I went into this knowing there was a good chance I could be weeks, or longer, with discomfort and/or loss of feeling. But that's only half of it... I had fun! He's not just a surgeon, he's your friend. I laughed while I was there (when I could) and my kids loved him!

I got my wisdom teeth removed from this particular office because my regular dentist recommended it. Terrible recommendation. The tooth extraction went fine, as far as I know no complications. I was worked on by Dr.Peters and she was nice for the little time that I did get to speak with her before I went under. I set my appt maybe a month in advance because they were super busy and couldn't get me in until September. When I made the initial appointment it seemed off but I decided to stay with them because of the recommendation. When I went in that day the front office staff was literally quite rude in the tone that they spoke in. I must've missed the sign where it said to call before I entered the office and that was completely my fault but I didn't realize that until I returned for a follow up appt. Communicating that to me would of just allowed me to understand that it's a procedure they follow and I most definitely would've apologized and followed the procedure but I did not know. Regardless I wasn't informed of much of anything regarding pay before I went back to the surgery table and waiting for them to come in. It wasn't until I was prepped and set up when they told me about copays and assumed the person I came with was covering it. Again, communication. I paid the fees I needed to and the surgery went on, granted I do remember waking up in the middle of it. Besides that, I call to make a follow up appt and set it for a certain day because I know I wouldn't have been able to come in at that time and when I arrive to the office it's the same lady with an attitude from my initial appt states I missed my appt because it was set to the day prior. Again, what? I told them no, I wouldn't of set it for that day because I knew I wouldn't of been able to and they said since you didn't show up it was shown as a no show and the appt was set for the following Friday. Question, how could you set an appt up for someone without speaking to them to see if that's possible for them to make it. I thought maybe I was being extra thinking they're being rude but that solidified it for me. I don't mind giving people my business, I did not scream, yell or even speak rudely to the staff but if I ever know anyone that is getting their wisdom teeth extracted I would recommend an unprofessional before I recommend this office based on their communication and the way the front staff speaks to their patients. And also my regular dentist sent over my X-rays way before I even came to my appointment but they called me the night before asking to have the dentist send them over and still had the wrong dentist on file and questioned my sanity as if I didn't know what I was saying. I don't know if it was because I'm a person of color but regardless of my skin tone I was taught to treat everyone with respect and love no matter what. You guys should learn that.

I had all four impacted wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Cannavo. He and the staff were extremely patient and kind before the surgery. They walked me through everything and made sure I felt comfortable. I had a quick recovery without any complications. I highly recommend Dr. Cannavo!
