Jen has been in the dental field for over 16 years and brings with her a wealth of knowledge in both the clinical and financial aspects of dentistry, making her an excellent resource to answer your questions. Jen is committed to professional development, and has achieved DANB certification in dental assisting, as well as holding an active membership in the American Academy of Dental Office Managers (AADOM). She has a passion for educating our patients to ensure they are getting the treatment they need and deserve. Jen is originally from Uxbridge and currently resides in Douglas. She is an avid patriots fan, and enjoys golfing and camping.
Julia is a dental hygienist extraordinaire, and brings to Pleasant Valley Dentistry a number of accolades, including membership in Sigma Phi Alpha, the National Dental Hygiene honor society, as well as being named Valedictorian of her graduating Dental Hygiene class at University of New England. Julia worked as a tutor and teachers assistant at UNE, and incorporates her love of teaching into educating her patients about their dental health. In her personal life, she is an animal lover, book worm, and nature enthusiast.
Katryna has extensive knowledge in both Dental Hygiene as well as restorative dentistry, having been Dr. Thereses former dental assistant over 7 years ago. Katryna graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at the University of New England, where she excelled in both didactic and clinical areas of her schooling. She was the winner of the 2020 Colgate Superstar Award as well as selected as a student tutor for her peers. In her free time, Katryna loves any outdoor activities and spending time vacationing in Maine.
Nicole is a classically trained dental assistant who earned her degree from Blackstone Valley Tech. She is passionate about keeping her patients comfortable with her energetic and bubbly personality. Her favorite aspect of dental assisting is being a part of smile transformations. She also is highly skilled in performing professional dental whitening treatments, and enjoys working in the dental lab preparing for complex procedures. In her free time, Nicole loves spending time outdoors with her three dogs, hiking, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
Dr. Therese (pronounced 'Teresa') is the founder and General & Cosmetic Dentist of Pleasant Valley Dentistry. She established this office in 2017 after working in two family practices in central Massachusetts, with a desire to offer a dental experience that merged her passion for cosmetics and comprehensive dental healthcare. She has infused her thorough nature into the philosophy of Pleasant Valley Dentistry, where all care providers are passionate about spending time with each of their patients, getting to know their specific needs, and providing meticulous dental care.
Dr. Therese has a strong commitment to professional growth, and spends much of her free time traveling for advanced dental training with internationally renowned mentors in the field. Since earning her degree, she has averaged well over 100 hours of advanced continuing education every year, an amount that far exceeds the biennial requirement of 40 hours. Dr. Therese was awarded her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in the summer of 2020, a title which requires 500 hours of continuing education and an exhaustive examination, and is only currently held by 6% of dentists nationwide. She is currently in pursuit of her accreditation with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a prestigious recognition only awarded after passing a written and oral examination and having numerous cosmetics cases reviewed by a selective board of cosmetic dentists. She also has a passion for service, and has traveled on multiple mission trips to provide dental care to poverty-stricken communities in Central America.
Dr. Therese was born & raised in southern New Hampshire, but has called Massachusetts her home for nearly 15 years. She currently resides in Sutton with her husband Michael, and their two cats. In her free time, Dr. Therese is often spending time with family locally, or in New Hampshire, and enjoys yoga and gardening.
