Cohesively they maintain and build personal relationships with patients. This includes, answering any billing questions, submission of insurance claims, as well as preparing pre-treatment estimates to insurance companies. They are committed to providing patients with resources, guidance and information about finance options.
Our team of assistants are Certified and licensed and have been with the office for many years. While assisting Dr Duong and Dr Katz chair side, they utilize their knowledge and skills to alleviate patient fears and anxieties. They pride themselves on giving patients personal interaction and satisfaction with valuable dental services to make your dental visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Dr. Thaida Duong is a native Canadian, originally from the Thousand Islands region of Ontario. He went to McGill University, obtaining a Microbiology & Immunology BSc Degree and then on to the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Duong joined his brother at Family Dental Care in Springfield in 2009. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Golden Key Society. His passion for continuing education ensures that the technological advancements being made in the field of dentistry are available to all of his patients. He dedicates himself to understanding his patients needs and exceeding their expectations.
Dr. Duong and his wife, Denise, reside in Wilbraham with their children, Louis and Samuel. He enjoys snowboarding, playing sports with his sons, cheering on the Patriots & Red Sox and spending time with his family.
Dr. Candace Katz received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from UMASS, Amherst, and was elected to the Golden Key National Honors Society. She then graduated from UCONN School of Dental Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut.
At UCONN, she received a Community Service award for working with underprivileged people and attending to their dental needs. Dr. Katz was also an active volunteer at Special Olympics. She received additional training in an Advanced Education General Dentistry Residency also at UCONN., working in the John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington, Connecticut.

This is a beautiful, modern office. The staff is very friendly. Dr. Katz is warm, friendly and highly competent. I did not have to wait in the waiting room, they were on time. I highly recommend Pleasant Street Dental.

Pleasant St. Dental is a super dental practice! Always a great experience from the front desk to the Doctors and top notch with Covid protocols. Terry has been cleaning my teeth for years and is a highly trained professional who is very detail oriented and always listens to my concerns. Highly recommend Pleasant St. Dental for the best care!

Very professional and friendly dental office. My hygienist is awesome, the best most thorough cleanings I've ever had. Only downside is there pricing is above what is considered normal and customary for the area, so often I am paying some extra expense.

This is without a doubt the best dental practice I've been to. As someone who gets very nervous with anything related to dental work -- the staff is extremely kind and calming. They listen to their patients and they are attentive to individual needs. Every time I go in I leave feeling happy!

Dr. Candice Katz did my crowns for me in which I was totally disappointed in. Food kept on getting in between the teeth. Chewing food properly was hard at times. I told her and was dismiss, receiving bill for an exam. New dentist replace all the crowns. One tooth had to be removed, due to improper making of the crown. If Dr. Katz did this poorly for me, can you imagine what she can do for you? Please don't worry for it only cost more than $12,000. See below for more information 1. The findings on work that Dr. Katz did. 2. The letter to the surgeon. 3. What I paid to Dr. Katz.

Amelia is amazing! She is always patient and kind and really cares about my comfort. Her attention to detail makes me feel like a special patient. I feel like I'm visiting a friend who happens to clean my teeth! She always asks about my family and my job, we share fashion tips and have a few laughs. The office staff is super friendly and helpful. They always greet me with a smile and make me feel welcome. Dr. Katz goes above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable and happy with her work. It isn't every dentist who calls to make sure you are okay after having work done. She isn't happy unless I'm happy! That's an amazing quality to find in anyone! I have recommended Pleasant St Dental to all my friends and family.

I had a great experience with Terry. She makes me relax even as she probes and scrapes away plaque. Dr. Katz topped off the visit with a cheerful oral exam.
