At Pleasant Smiles Dentistry, our goal is to provide professional, quality dental care in a relaxed, friendly environment. We aspire to provide exceptional dental care for our patients, build lasting relationships, and create beautiful smiles one patient at a time.
Dr. J.W. Davis first opened our doors in 1979. Since then, we have been providing the Brandon and surrounding communities with complete family dental care. Dr. Susan Burton joined the team in 1997 and Dr. Chandler Pleasant signed on in 2012. Soon after, Dr. Davis retired and the office became Pleasant Smiles Dentistry. A new name, but the same people and values as always. With two doctors available it is easy to schedule treatment without delay. We believe that the best way to help a person is to get to know them. The old adage never treat a stranger could not be more true. Drs. Pleasant and Burton, along with their skilled staff strive to educate each patient about all treatment options available to them, allowing patients to choose a plan that meets their individual dental needs and expectations. We are a complete source for all things dental for the entire family.
Dr. Chandler H. Pleasant was born and raised in Terry, MS. With his father working in the dental field for over forty years, Dr. Pleasant has been around dentistry his entire life. Dr. Pleasant graduated with honors from Mississippi State University with a B.S. degree in biological sciences cum laude. After MSU, he began his doctoral training at the University Of Mississippi School Of Dentistry, where he obtained his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 2012.
Dr. Pleasant has completed over 40 hours of continuing education at the Engel Institute of Dental Implants. Dr. Pleasant is an active member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, where he has completed multiple courses on cosmetic dentistry with the use of Botox and dermal fillers. He has also maintained memberships with the American Dental Association and the Mississippi Dental Association.
Since graduating dental school in 2012, Dr. Pleasant has practiced in Brandon and now maintains private practices in both Brandon and Pelahatchie, MS. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Whitney. They live in Jackson where they are active members of Broadmoor Baptist Church. They have two children, Winston and Caroline, and their dog, Tucker. Dr. Pleasant enjoys hunting, playing golf, and supporting his Bulldogs.

This establishment was going to make me two weeks to have 2 root canals even after I called them to let them know that I was in pain. I couldn't wait for 2 weeks. They should've recommended me to the endodontist like they do.thwir other clients. If it wasn't for my wife calling her dentist, we wouldn't have known about the endodontist. As a result, I went to the endodontist the same day and got one root canal done successfully. Scheduled the next one, got it done successfully as well. I don't understand why they would make me wait while in pain.

I absolutely love this dentist office. They are amazing. I have enjoyed every experience from a consultation to a tooth extraction to having my teeth cleaned. I enjoy every single experience to the point I look forward to going to the dentist. I am not one that has ever went to a dentist regularly but now I'm getting on track and getting all this dirty work cleaned up. I was worried at first about feeling insecure about getting my teeth looked at because it had been years. But I felt no judgment whatsoever and Dr. Blossom reassured me they are going to move as comfortably for me as possible. She is absolutely amazing. The kindness that pours out of everyone that works here is so reassuring that I'm at the right dentist office. I will be coming here forever. PS: I'm literally in my car right now after a visit and I just had to stop what I was doing and write this review. Thank you pleasant smiles!

This is a great dental practice and exceeded my expectations. Morgan gave me a very accurate quote and was able to get me in quickly for my crown and Dr. Burton is one of the best dentist I have ever been to. Thanks!

Everyone that I have dealt with at Pleasant Smiles has been so helpful and friendly. I really liked the fact that they explained everything to me in detail of what was going on from the procedures I would need, estimated the cost and what insurance would handle. I HIGHLY recommend visiting them for your dental needs!

ill be honest and say that like most people im not a fan of the dentist. but morgan has been my hygienist for several years now and she has always been so patient with me (even when i get an anxious arm twitch... haha!) dr. pleasant and his staff are all so great and make the entire dental experience as positive for a patient as it can be. highly recommend!

Staff is always so friendly and courteous. Christina is the best hygienist I have ever had. She never hurts me and is very patient. Dr. Pleasant is great too. You can't go wrong with your dental care here.

Bonjour! Ca va bien? Greetings from France! Dr. Susan Burton has been my dentist from more than 20 years now and even though I live in France where health care is inexpensive and quite good, I return each summer to see Dr. Burton. Because I trust her on multiple levels. I know that she is a good dentist because of the multiple and difficult issues I have had with my teeth and I trust her to take care of my teeth. But I also trust her to listen to me when I say I don't want to do that or I'm not ready or it is too expensive and always provides options and opinions. She has moved beyond being just my dentist now and has become a personal friend one that I trust and enjoy seeing on an annual basis. In the summer of 2016 I had to have some major repair work on my teeth due to a sports injury from nearly 40 years ago. Dr. Burton had kept what I had going for as long as she felt it safe and then determined that it needed some serious work, before it caused major problems. She passed one of the preparatory procedures to Dr. Pleasant as he was more of an expert that she was in that procedure. It was my first time working with Dr. Pleasant and I found him to be very friendly and extremely skillful. I was "almost" a pleasure having him work on my teeth. I have also found throughout the years that the staff at Pleasant Smiles Dentistry reflect the high standards of Dr. Burton and Dr. Pleasant medically, and just as importantly the sense that they are there to serve the patient first, to make them human, to understand their patients fear, unease, and discomfit and do all that they can to help. Wonderful dental practice!!! We've been patients for a few years and have had never had a complaint. We started with Dr. Davis and seamlessly transitioned to Dr. Pleasant when he became part of the practice at Dr. Davis' retirement. Our one exam that Dr. Burton filled in for was without incident and I would welcome her as my dentist again. Dr. Pleasant is generous with his time when checking our teeth and never rushes through the examination. He's a very calm doctor, easy to chat with and always willing to answer our questions. We absolutely adore our hygienist Kristina!! We appreciate that we see the same hygienist every visit and have developed a great relationship with her. She makes the routine visits easy and painless. The front desk is always friendly upon first arrival through to the point we are ushered out at the end with smiles and thank yous. They have always handled our insurance billing without issue and seem quite knowledgeable on the processes it requires. Pleasant Smiles is a pleasant experience from the moment patients walk in the door to the end of the visit.
