I called today for a dental emergency. I had called several places and I was giving up hope. I called them after 12 and they got me in at 2pm! Everyone was very caring from the front desk, to the dentist himself. Thank you!

I believe Dr. E is a great dentist. I do not believe this about the female dentist I had to see. It was a very quick encounter said I needed another filling on a tooth I just had filled. Was not happy when I questioned gave very trite and quick answers and she basically just walked out. Also this is the 1st time I've ever had an issue with a receptionist. I had to reschedule my appointment for a cleaning and she insisted it was only 30min so why couldn't I just come in. I could not make that day I called serval days in advance to cancel. She said well you have to wait a year before you can be seen. After this last visit I'll be going to a new practice we have been with this practice since it opened. I hated to believe all the bad reviews but having experienced it myself I have to agree. The office has changed a lot.

This is actually Kimberly Braswell. It would not allow me to enter another review. I just found out they charged my insurance 299.00 for what I was told would be a FREE CONSULT. I was never at any time told there would be ANY CHARGES for a FREE CONSULT. Get ready for a dispute on these charges. Sorriest dental practice I have EVER encountered and there have been many. Actually 0 stars. I would go negative stars if I could.

My appt was at 11:30 for a consult. I got out of the office at 1:05. I was told it would be 2 months for new upper dentures, that's after the next appt. Was told they would put something on my current dentures before I left to better help for now. That wasn't done either. I was led to the check out desk and told they had to go to lunch. If I wanted it done I could come back after lunch and they would try to work me in and it would be 140.00. No thanks. And their denture price is twice what they charge at affordable dentures. Which is where I will be going. 95% of my time was wasted waiting for absolutely nothing. Got a news flash, my time is important too.

I'm so glad I found this office! To say their customer service is amazing is an understatement. Their schedule is very flexible and they provide many appointment reminders. I enjoy every single visit, and I feel like my entire dentist experience has changed. I've been to several offices through Charlotte, and this one is by far the best. My hygienist Kayla and dentist Dr Ernst are both amazing and kind. I recommend Pleasant Plains to any and everyone.

I will never go back. I've been twice for a cleaning and then another appt. where I was told I needed 7 crowns!!! They refused to replace my fillings and told me there was not enough tooth wall and that they would fail. I mean, we're talking around 10k to do crowns. They also told me I had a cavity. So, plan B was to gosee the dental school in Chapel Hill a friend told me about. Come to find out, the dean's son who is my attending MD at the dental school examined my mouth after all xrays were done, and told my that I could absolutely have my fillings replaced and that I DID NOT have a cavity. I couldn't believe it! The reason I went to Chapel Hill was that crowns cost about a 3rd the cost. I truly believe Pleasant Plains just wanted my money and I will never go back. Think twice, maybe 3 times before going to PP dental.

I had crown work done and the amount for the entire treatment was $1059. My dental benefit through Liberty Mutual paid Pleasant plains dental $1622.It states right on the pleasant plains dental treatment plan agreement that was signed and witnessed by Brittany at Pleasant plains that if the insurance pays more the dental office will refund the difference to my insurance company. I called Liberty mutual and Medicare who both said the dental office is responsible to handle the proper distribution of funds. I called the dental office and spoke to Paris who is the insurance coordinator and wrote to Dr Henry Ernst who is the owner. I asked that they refund my benefit overpayment to my insurance company because they received $563. more than my bill. Also that all my dental benefits are exhausted for 2022 due to this error. Dr. Henry Ernst will not even respond. Paris, their insurance coordinator who I did talk to was extremely rude and unprofessional and just said "the insurance paid and the claim is complete, you are confused ". Taking advantage of a senior citizen Medicare benefits is a crime and telling me I'm confused totally disrespectful. This is being reported and under investigation as needed and to protect other people in the future. Paris is really confused about the laws of Medicare and overcharges by providers. Everyone check your insurance claim statements making sure it matches up with what your provider stated your treatment would cost!!! Also Your reply is a standard form you use for every patient who has had a horrible experience because i have read them.Let me make this clear for you and everyone reading, You never gave me a bill for all of the 2000. you took from my Medicare. the only bill I received was the 1059. for the crown. had I known what you were billing my insurance I would have walked out. you are running an unprofessional and unethical business! remember what goes around comes around. you can keep replying with the same form letter but it doesn't make it true. you took advantage of my Medicare left me with zero care for the rest of 2022 and I hope more people see this so it doesn't happen to them.
