Since right after college, I have loved everything about dentistry, including studying for my dental school admission tests all the way to the present day. While in dental school, I did a rotation through the orthodontic department and had so much fun that I wanted it to be my career. The patients were happy, the other orthodontists were enjoying themselves, and it looked like a blast.
I love that every day is a new challenge. Whenever a patient comes in, I have to plan for the long term on how every step that we take together is a process on our journey. When I take off a patients braces and compare the before-and-after pictures, I get a true sense of accomplishment. I treat patients like friends, and I make sure that they are receiving the same level of service that I would expect.
Braces are an expensive investment, which is why I offer flexible financing. I am committed to ensuring that finances do not stand in the way of our patients orthodontic treatment. Everyone involved should feel that they are getting the best quality of care. My philosophy is to achieve the best results possible in the most efcient way, with careful treatment planning and sound mechanics, while always staying at the top of my profession with continuing education.

There is no other occupation I would rather be in. I chose orthodontics based on my own childhood experience as an orthodontic patient. An orthodontist not only improves oral health through dental alignment and correction of occlusion, they also provide patients with a condent smile, which brings so much to every aspect of an individuals life.
I really enjoy working with patients who seek orthodontic care and are looking to improve their oral health and the esthetics of their smile. I am a perfectionist and enjoy the art of aligning teeth to provide optimal esthetics and facial balance and harmony.
My style of patient interaction is very caring and sensitive. I take my time with each patient and listen to their needs. I feel that my practice is all about taking care of the patients and providing care and treatment plans as if patients were my own family. My patients deserve the best possible care and attention to detail that I can provide. They also deserve the oral health and self-condence they can enjoy throughout their lifetime.

This was my first visit, and I'm already a fan. Great staff! Very helpful and felt welcomed as soon as I walked in. Dr. Kan was very patient, listened to all of my concerns, and explained what my options were in detail. Would highly recommend.

I called to make book an appointment but the lady who picked up the phone was extremely rude and Her unwelcoming attitude made me to change my mind and look for a different orthodontist!! Basically costing the orthodontist thousands of dollars.

Pleasant Hill Orthodontics has always been a top notch> Now with COVID, they have implemented all the necessary CDC guidelines to remain open. From checking in at the parking lot to waiting my turn, I felt that I was totally protected. Drs. Miller and Kan are quite the professionals. As an adult with certain goals for my bite, they have gone above and beyond assuring me that my goals will be reached! I highly recommend Pleasant Hill Orthodontics.

Dr. Kan and her team are warm, friendly, and communicative. They help you understand what your child's mouth needs and why. I feel like I can trust them to advise us for what's really right for my daughter. They are also very accommodating of appointment changes!

First of all I got a appointment right away by Tiffany, and she was very polite and kind in offering what i needed and why I was coming to see them. And once I got there they were very prepared and ready, didn't have to wait a minute in waiting room! All went well and as I met lizzett who took my pictures it was like being on a photo shoot. And once I met the Dr. Kan she was very nice and smiled as she talked to me and listened very carefully. All and all it was a good experience and I would like to advise others to have the same experience as I!

The staff is so friendly, the technicians are careful and really good with kids, and the orthodontists (we have seen both) are knowledgeable and explain everything thoroughly and in a way that makes sense. All 3 of my kids go to PH Ortho and we love it! They give the kids ortho bucks every appointment for things like having clean teeth, nothing breaking, wearing your PH ortho shirt to your appt, and participating in a simple monthly challenge (ie. write something you're thankful for in Nov, write something you like about your Dad in June, take a pic with your dentist, etc.). Then the ortho bucks can get turned in for prizes/gift cards to Amazon, Target, Chipotle, iTunes, etc. The staff remembers my name, my kids, and takes good care of us. My kids especially love the hot cocoa available in the waiting room (during non-Covid times). Highly recommend Pleasant Hill Orthodontics!

My invisalign experience so far has been great even during this covid 19 they treat me like a valued patient. Dr. Miller is very educated in his field and steers you in the appropriate direction for the best outcome with your smile. Thanks to all the staff for making me feel welcomed the first day i arrived. Video chatting for intermittent appointments.
