Dr. Shah received his dental degree in India at K. M. Shah dental college, where he received a Gold Medal for outstanding educational achievements. He continued his journey of education and knowledge at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with Honors. During this program he was selected for the highly competitive Community Oriented Dental Education program. He is member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and Guilford County Dental Society.
He has participated in several Mission of Mercy programs and Indian Health Service programs and has done other volunteering to provide care to underserved populations. In his career of over 10 years since graduating, he has provided his services to a wide range of people and all age groups.
Dr. Shah believes in being a lifelong learner. He is learning and using scientifically proven techniques and technologies to provide the best care to his patients. He continues to expand his knowledge by attending several continuing education programs. His utmost attention to detail has helped him to achieve excellence.

During these troubling times of COVID, Dr. Shah and his team are committed to providing a safe environment for patients and staff. A newly constructed space allowed him to change the layout to accommodate the new needs of this time. He has implemented extra measures to follow strict sterilization techniques and use air filtration and purification.
When not at work, he spends time enjoying nature and traveling. He loves to go on hikes in the mountains or spend some time on a serene beach with his two handsome sons (Shiv, 5 years old, and Om, 3 years old) and his beautiful wife, Shruti. He loves reading non-fiction, leadership, and motivational books. His other hobby is being indulged in delicious food cooked by his wife.

Carmen has been in the dental field for 25 years since earning her associates degree in accounting from Inter American University of Puerto Rico. Carmen is very dependable and an amazing team player, and our patients enjoy seeing her familiar face when they visit our office. Her favorite part of our practice is our great team and our genuine care for our patients. With a great understanding of each of our provided treatments, Carmen is able to help our patients understand their treatment process. Carmen has two Yorkies, Lola and Lulu, who she loves to spoil with treats and car rides. When she isnt at the office, Carmen enjoys time with her kids, family, and antiquing.

My first visit was enjoyable! Our first draw to Pleasant Dental was the availability of appointments. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff are very welcoming. Dr Shah performed a full exam, and then did the cleaning himself. The practice has gone to great lengths to make patients feel comfortable including a tv overhead, sunglasses, and a warm lavender towel at the end. I felt that Dr. Shah heard my concerns and was reasonable about dental work needing to be done. I appreciate the level of communication and I look forward to being under the care of Dr. Shah.

Had a great experience in my first dental visit at Pleasant Dental. The whole team is so professional and kind. I met Dr.Shah and the team today and everyone has been super nice and welcoming. I was so comfortable and cozy at the office. I was offered multiple drink choices. Dr.Shah was very educational, detail oriented, and efficient. He took the time to explain the details of my treatment plan and the "why behind the what". I could see the passion and extensive knowledge he has. I never felt rushed. He has a very calm and sweet demeanor. The office is equipped with latest technology which is a big plus. Everyone was so pleasant the moment you walk in until you walk out. I was very happy and impressed. Got some fillings and cleaning done. I don't even know where to begin! I was so impressed with this office! I would give them a 10 if I could!! The dentist called me himself a few days before my appointment for any questions or concerns I had. This is by far the best dentist office I have ever been to! The entire staff is amazing and very professional!! I highly recommend them. The office is beautiful inside! I have finally found my dentist to hold on to! Dr. Shah and assistant were very professional. X-rays were quick and efficient. Minimum wait for scheduled appointment. Dental exam was thorough and findings were carefully explained and questions answered. Appointment went well with extra care given to make me comfortable during a procedure.
