45 years ago, our dental practice was founded as one of the first in Pleasant Grove.Dr Daynes took over in 2005 and even though faces have changed, we have kept the ingredients which made the practice flourish all of those years and added new procedures, new technology. In 2019 we built Pleasant Dental 2.0 a couple of miles from our original location. Now in Lindon we are very exited to show you the latest dentistry has to offer!
Dr. Daynes is a native of Holladay Utah and completed his undergraduate training at the University of Utah. He is a 2003 graduate at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Wisconsin where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and was awarded the International College of Dentists award for achievement by his professors. Since graduation he has practiced in Idaho and Oregon for a few years until he and his wife decided to return and raise their family in Utah.He and his wife have 5 children.
Dr. Daynes finds continuing education and developing his skills to be an important part of being your Dentist. He strives to bring his patients the latest and most advanced techniques available. He has completed extensive courses in orthodontics /braces, implant surgery and restoration, esthetic smile reconstructions, wisdom tooth removal and advanced oral surgeries. It is important to him to take yearly courses to stay current and to continuously improve root canal treatments. Because of his passion to become the best dentist for his patients, each year Dr. Daynes completes many more CE hours than required by the Utah State Dental Board.
He is an active member of the following professional associations: American Dental Association, Utah Dental Association, and Provo Dental Societies. Our office has had two names over time: Pleasant Grove Dental which shortened to our current name Pleasant Dental, we are one and the same!

I had some pain in a recent root canal, and found out from root canal specialist that not only that tooth, but three other root canals I had done by Dr. Daynes were infected and needed to be redone. Whats frustrating is that I would mention these other crowns as still being sensitive or painful at times, but Dr. Daynes just reassured me that everything was fine, but obviously not. Plus one root canal could possibly need to be surgically redone as there is something stuck in one of the tooths canals, which the specialist said could be a piece of a file that broke off from the original procedure, which is probably why this root canal failed and got infected. My whole family has been going here for 10 + years, you want to feel like you can trust your dentist, and I feel like I forked over thousands of dollars for dental work that I just needed to pay thousands more to get redone.

Due to medications I have had to take for chronic health conditions, my teeth have really started to go downhill compared to the relatively healthy teeth I was used to. Dr Daynes and his team have been absolutely amazing!!! From the broken tooth that caused incredible pain to the basic cleaning, they've been so awesome. The staff is so friendly and they all remember personal details that make you feel like you aren't just another patient. I've never had a dentist experience like the one I've had with Dr Daynes and Pleasant Dental. I can't see myself going anywhere else.

In the past month, I've visited Dr. Daynes and the nurses here four different times to get procedures done and all have been a smooth ride. It's honestly been a treat to get to know them in small ways even if my mouth is open the entire time. Best dental experiences I've ever had! Seriously 10/10 would recommend over and over again! I would certainly keep coming here if I wasn't moving!

I've held a grudge toward this practice for 10 plus years. I went to this dentist 10 plus years ago because of some discount coupon my mom found. Prior to this checkup I had NEVER had a cavity. He used some stupid laser and told me I had in the ballpark of 7 "cavities". Even as ignorant as we were we still second guessed it but eventually this practice convinced us to pay the huge bill and fill the "cavities" I have seen many other dentists since. Ironically I have not had even one additional "cavity" I've had nothing but problems with the fillings Dr Dayne's did. They snag and have had to be fixed multiple times.

Dr. Daynes and staff are very respectful and personable. They listen and take the time to help placate our concerns, no matter how small or large. I'm tough but I really get scared at the dentist's office. Dr. Daynes is gentle and he explains everything he is going to do. He's been great with teeth cleanings for my kids and they love coming to his office. My daughter had to get an emergency tooth reconstruction and they fit us in immediately. I had my first root canal, and although my mouth is taking time to get used to it, Dr. Daynes went out of his way to help me realize that everything is as it should be and didn't charge me for testing things out and making sure everything is A-OK. We're glad to have found Pleasant Dental, Dr. Daynes and staff! We're very pleased to be able to go to him for all our future dental needs.

Dr. Daynes and his assistant were very kind and gentle with my five year old. She did a great job and they praised her really well for her good behavior. I feel Dr. Daynes does a great job.

I have gone to this dentist for years and didn't have a bad experience until this last year when I went in for a check up. He inspected my teeth and told me that I had 3 cavities. I was astonished because I hadn't had any watch spots before when I had come in and I hadn't had any problems my entire life and all the sudden 3 cavities? So I told him I'd wait a little bit before I spend so much money trying to fix them because I wanted a second opinion. In a hurry to take my money the receptionist told me if I waited any longer I would have to get a root canal. WHAT? I was so upset so I went to a different dentist and he told me that those "cavities" were watch spots and not even close to an actual cavity. I have not had to have them filled, let alone get a freaking root canal. Would not recommend. I felt that they had lied to me.
