Dr. Jerry Chiu is a board-certified periodontist in both the USA and Canada. He first completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Medical Laboratory Science at the University of British Columbia. Then, he pursued his passion for dentistry at NYU College of Dentistry where he was consistently ranked in the top 10% of his class, was inducted into the National Dental Honors Society called Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), and received recognition from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). He went on to complete advanced specialty training in periodontology at the historically prestigious Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he concomitantly obtained a masters degree in periodontology studying the relationship between diabetes and periodontitis.
Dr. Chiu went on to accept a position as a clinical assistant professor in the department of periodontology at Boston University, which has allowed him to fulfill his desire to stay current in the ever-evolving field while teaching future periodontists. He has also been practicing around the Greater Boston area to provide dental services in periodontics and implant dentistry, rescuing teeth from periodontal disease and providing implant services when necessary, using a spectrum of traditional and innovative techniques depending on his patients unique needs.
Dr. Yu earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Kaohsiung Medical University in 2011. She practiced as a general dentist for three years in Taiwan before she studied in the US. She received a combined Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Prosthodontics along with a Master of Science in Dentistry (Biomaterial and Restorative Science) from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2017. After that, she received another Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Periodontology and Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2019 and 2021.
Dr. Yu is board certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of the Advanced Specialty Education Program, Department of Periodontology at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. With her dual specialties in Periodontology and Prosthodontics, she concentrates on teaching esthetic dentistry and full mouth reconstruction procedures utilizing the latest technologies and techniques.
Dr. Jess Liu received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry. After completing a year of the General Residency Program at Maimonides Medical Center located in Brooklyn, New York, and one year of restorative dentistry in private practice, Dr. Liu then completed his advanced specialty training in Periodontology and a Masters degree in Oral Biology at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Liu is a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology and currently maintains a private practice limited to Periodontology and Implant Surgery in Boston. He is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of the Implant Fellowship Program in the Department of Periodontology at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where he focuses on teaching minimally invasive surgical techniques and integration of digital dentistry with periodontics. In addition, he lectures and instructs training courses in periodontics and implantology with dentists domestically and internationally.
