Dr. Ben Sitz is a Park Rapids native, and spent the majority of his life on Fish Hook Lake. He graduated from Park Rapids High School and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in biology fromBemidji State University. In 2017, he graduated from theUniversity of Minnesota School of Dentistryand began practicing at theWhite Earth Service Unitfor the Indian Health Service.
Dr. Sitz grew up as a patient at Pleasant Avenue Dentistry. The attention to detail, passion for continued learning, and the care provided for patients by this office and its staff is why hes proud to be a member of this team.
In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors. Dr. Sitz prefers the fall and winter months, but nothing beats a Minnesota summer! When hes not in the dental office you can find him at the golf course, on the lake or in the woods.
Dr. Soulliere was born and raised in Port Huron, Michigan, where the majority of her family still resides. She studied at theUniversity of Michiganin Ann Arbor, where she received her Bachelor of Science in biological anthropology. In 2013, she moved to Minneapolis, MN, where she attended theUniversity of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She graduated with honors in May of 2017 and shortly after, returned to her hometown in Michigan.
For the first year of her career, Dr. Soulliere worked as an associate dentist alongside three other general dentists in the Sterling Heights, MI, area. After one year, she was offered a position with a Bemidji, MN practice as the managing clinical director, where she practiced as a solo dentist. Upon her arrival in Park Rapids, she met Dr. Jay Jorgenson through a mutual friend and was intrigued by his philosophies in biological dentistry. She looks forward to this opportunity at Pleasant Avenue Dentistry to benefit our patients overall health through the oral cavity.
Dr. Jorgenson grew up in Detroit Lakes, MN where he graduated from high school in 1984. He then went toConcordia Collegein Moorhead, MN, and received his Bachelor of Science in biology. In 1995, he graduated fromCreighton University School of Dentistryin Omaha, NE.
Dr. Jorgenson married Krista Hesby in 1994 and started practicing dentistry in Park Rapids in the fall of 1995. In 2000, he built a new dental office on Pleasant Avenue where he continues to practice. He and Krista have two active sons, Per and Bjorn.
Dr. Jorgenson is extremely passionate about biological dentistry. He is intrigued with how the mouth affects the human body and he is constantly advancing his skills and continuing his education. It is his plan to strive for excellence by continuing to improve his skills through further advanced education.
Ashley graduated from North Dakota State College of Science with degrees in dental assisting, dental hygiene and liberal arts. Working in the dental profession brings great satisfaction to her life. She enjoys providing quality dental care to our patients.
Ashley and her husband Jason live in Park Rapids. They are proud parents to two wonderful children. Ashley is an animal lover and has two dogs and two horses. She also enjoys hiking, fishing, downhill skiing and furniture restoration.
Jennifer is one of the office managers at Pleasant Avenue Dentistry. She has worked in the dental field since 2001 and absolutely loves it! She feels truly blessed and honored to work with such an exceptional dental team as well as absolutely amazing patients!
Jennifer moved to the Park Rapids area in 2013. She has two children: Maddie and Brock. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, reading, running and arts and crafts.
Kayla graduated from St. Cloud Technical College in 2007 with an AAS degree in dental hygiene. She also received her Bachelor's Degree in dental hygiene from the University of Minnesota Mankato in 2012.She enjoys getting to know her patients and providing them with quality dental care and a great experience.
Kayla moved to the Park Rapids area in 2007 where she met her husband Jeremy, a Nevis native. They have three amazing children, Addison, Wendy and Samuel that keep them busy. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family at the lake, crafts, gardening and cross country skiing.
Sara and her husband Ed live in Nevis. They have two grown children, Katie and Gavin. Sara and Ed own In-We-Go Resort. When she has spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, going on walks and biking.
