Dr. Ben Sitz is a Park Rapids native, and spent the majority of his life on Fish Hook Lake. He graduated from Park Rapids High School and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in biology fromBemidji State University. In 2017, he graduated from theUniversity of Minnesota School of Dentistryand began practicing at theWhite Earth Service Unitfor the Indian Health Service.
Dr. Sitz grew up as a patient at Pleasant Avenue Dentistry. The attention to detail, passion for continued learning, and the care provided for patients by this office and its staff is why hes proud to be a member of this team.
In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors. Dr. Sitz prefers the fall and winter months, but nothing beats a Minnesota summer! When hes not in the dental office you can find him at the golf course, on the lake or in the woods.
Dr. Soulliere was born and raised in Port Huron, Michigan, where the majority of her family still resides. She studied at theUniversity of Michiganin Ann Arbor, where she received her Bachelor of Science in biological anthropology. In 2013, she moved to Minneapolis, MN, where she attended theUniversity of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She graduated with honors in May of 2017 and shortly after, returned to her hometown in Michigan.
For the first year of her career, Dr. Soulliere worked as an associate dentist alongside three other general dentists in the Sterling Heights, MI, area. After one year, she was offered a position with a Bemidji, MN practice as the managing clinical director, where she practiced as a solo dentist. Upon her arrival in Park Rapids, she met Dr. Jay Jorgenson through a mutual friend and was intrigued by his philosophies in biological dentistry. She looks forward to this opportunity at Pleasant Avenue Dentistry to benefit our patients overall health through the oral cavity.
Dr. Jorgenson grew up in Detroit Lakes, MN where he graduated from high school in 1984. He then went toConcordia Collegein Moorhead, MN, and received his Bachelor of Science in biology. In 1995, he graduated fromCreighton University School of Dentistryin Omaha, NE.
Dr. Jorgenson married Krista Hesby in 1994 and started practicing dentistry in Park Rapids in the fall of 1995. In 2000, he built a new dental office on Pleasant Avenue where he continues to practice. He and Krista have two active sons, Per and Bjorn.
Dr. Jorgenson is extremely passionate about biological dentistry. He is intrigued with how the mouth affects the human body and he is constantly advancing his skills and continuing his education. It is his plan to strive for excellence by continuing to improve his skills through further advanced education.
Ashley graduated from North Dakota State College of Science with degrees in dental assisting, dental hygiene and liberal arts. Working in the dental profession brings great satisfaction to her life. She enjoys providing quality dental care to our patients.
Ashley and her husband Jason live in Park Rapids. They are proud parents to two wonderful children. Ashley is an animal lover and has two dogs and two horses. She also enjoys hiking, fishing, downhill skiing and furniture restoration.
Jennifer is one of the office managers at Pleasant Avenue Dentistry. She has worked in the dental field since 2001 and absolutely loves it! She feels truly blessed and honored to work with such an exceptional dental team as well as absolutely amazing patients!
Jennifer moved to the Park Rapids area in 2013. She has two children: Maddie and Brock. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, reading, running and arts and crafts.
Kayla graduated from St. Cloud Technical College in 2007 with an AAS degree in dental hygiene. She also received her Bachelor's Degree in dental hygiene from the University of Minnesota Mankato in 2012.She enjoys getting to know her patients and providing them with quality dental care and a great experience.
Kayla moved to the Park Rapids area in 2007 where she met her husband Jeremy, a Nevis native. They have three amazing children, Addison, Wendy and Samuel that keep them busy. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family at the lake, crafts, gardening and cross country skiing.
Sara and her husband Ed live in Nevis. They have two grown children, Katie and Gavin. Sara and Ed own In-We-Go Resort. When she has spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, going on walks and biking.

Pleasant Ave Dentistry has the kindest staff and dentists!! I would recommend them to everyone!! April 18, 2022 I had another wonderful appointment at Pleasant Ave Dentistry. They are so kind and do such a good job. When I was younger I was afraid of the dentist, but now going to the dentist is like visiting friends.

Pleasant Dentistry was my visit today after after never being to a detist for 55 years as a child. I cant say enough kind words of how comfortable, and peaceful they made me feel. I had a filling done on one tooth, and a crown ,made and installed on a badly chipped tooth on the other one. Got there in the office at 9 and left before 11 with a 45 minuet intermission in between to creat the cap. I was so pleased with the fit of the cap, it felt like its always been there. I highly recommend this dentist office to anyone...

I have high anxiety when going to the dentist. This experience was truly one of the best. I was a little anxious at first. I was immediately taken care of ,and reassured things would be fine. Ashley took excellent care and consideration with me. I was not nervous at all and my anxiety was very little to none. Thank you so much

While on vacation a thousand miles away from home I lost a crown. Dr. Soulliere and her amazing staff worked me in the next day and within 24 hours I had a new crown. The quality of Dr. Soulliere's work and the friendliness and professionalism of everyone I encountered was exceptional. If I lived near Park Rapids this would be my regular dental practice group. I can't thank or recommend them enough. Thank you Pleasant Avenue Dentistry!!

I brought my mother here for an urgent tooth extraction. The staff were friendly and caring. The dentist, Dr. Soulliere, was knowledgeable and explained the procedure to our satisfaction. The removal was done well with good anesthesia. Prices were reasonable. Would recommend highly if needing dental care.

Pleasant Avenue Dentistry is an outstanding practice. The office personnel are very knowledgeable and efficient. My Dental Hygienist, was very gentle and did an excellent job of performing all the X-rays and cleaning procedures. My Dentist was also extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job of performing my exam and explaining what the x-rays revealed. I would highly recommend this practice.

I made an appointment because of pain in my jaw. I was told a cap was necessary. After two days of discomfort I stopped in to have it looked at. I was told there wasn't an opening for two days. I decided to fly to my home in Florida earlier than I had intended. My dentist in Florida informed me that a root canal in the same tooth that was capped was necessary. Needless to say I'll fly to Florida if I have another tooth ache in Park Rapids.

I hate going to the dentist. I broke a molar and was forced into confronting my fear and apprehension about dental work. After seeing all the positive reviews about Pleasant Avenue Dentistry, I gave them a call. They were able to fit me in the same day. I explained my fears to Dr. Sitz who listened intently and asked for specifics. He assured me they would do all they could to make the experience as pleasant as possible. They succeeded. After about an hour and a half with very little discomfort, I was on my way home with a new crown in place, not a temporary. I'm still not a fan of having my teeth worked on (it's just a thing) but when I need to, I'll go back to Pleasant Avenue Dentistry. Thank you Dr. Sitz, Tracy, and the rest of the staff!

Named for the street addres, it also exemplifies the entire experience. This is a staff that genuinely cares about you as the patient and for each other. Every dental need I have had, from regular checkups to cleaning and yes, some emergency care, have been easy to access and handled right away...no fuss, no problem. The office is fully equipped with the latest technology which is of benefit to patient and clinician alike. Dr. Jorgenson and the staff rate an A+ in my book.
