Dr. Farmer has carried these experiences with him throughout his career in dentistry, often volunteering with such projects such as theNorth Carolina Dental Societys Missions of Mercy, theAmerican Dental Associations Give Kids A Smile, and being a volunteer and member of the board of directors for theCape Fear Clinic, a non-profit clinic which provides dental, medical, pharmaceutical, and mental health care at no cost to patients in Wilmington, NC.
During his time at Wake Forest University, Dr. Farmer studied for one semester in Madrid, Spain where he improved his Spanish speaking abilities by living with a Spanish speaking family and taking classes at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He has volunteered as a translator on Mission Trips to Honduras and Nicaragua and enjoys putting his Spanish to use with his patients!
Since 2012, Dr. Farmer participates as Adjunct Faculty at the University Of North Carolina School Of Dentistry withProject Uganda, a part of the UNC Global Initiative. With a focus on preventative care, Dr. Farmer and a group of dental students travel to the impoverished East African nation to collaborate with the Makerere University College of Health Sciences Dental School on public health initiatives and to provide care to many people who have never seen a dentist before. Dr. Farmer instructs the students on fillings, extractions, injection techniques, and preventative care before and during the time in Uganda, helping to fulfill his passion for helping others while educating future dentists in a challenging environment.
Since 2016, Dr. Farmer has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Charlotte Dental Societywhere he currently serves as the Treasurer. in 2018-2019, Dr. Farmer was selected as one of 20 dentists throughout the country to participate in the American Dental Associations Institute for Diversity in Leadership. During this program, Dr. Farmer took courses at the ADAs headquarters with business school professors from Dukes Fuqua Business School and Northwesterns Kelloggs School of Management to develop and expand leadership skills.

A great locally owned and operated dental office. Both doctors are thorough and knowledgeable and take their time with you. The hygienists are also very skilled and friendly. The front desk staff are also welcoming and friendly.

Staff showed complete and upmost hospitality as well as listened to my discomforts to avoid little to no pain for evaluation. Very blessed to have had such a great experience definitely worth the drive.

I know I'm a unicorn when I say I don't mind going to the dentist especially when I have an experience like this one.! Everyone was kind and friendly from the first interaction when I called to schedule . Check in to check out was easy and I was even given options in the treatment plan that was created for me. My dental hygienist was amazing and so gentle. It was the best cleaning I've ever experienced. Unfortunately I don't recall her name but I did let her know how much I appreciated her gentleness. Dr. Case was friendly, informative and kind in his words about some previously botched crown work I received. That spoke highly about his integrity. The office is clean and full of good energy. I live in the neighborhood and am happy to have this little gem.

Kind staff, clearly professional. My dental hygienist, John is fantastic. What I love most about Dr. Case is that he thanks every assistant throughout any exam or procedure. It speaks volumes to me about his integrity. I feel very safe in this practice. Had to get a crown last year and all went smoothly!

Tricia, dental hygienist, is so great! Always a pleasant experience to have a visit with her. For as much as I hate the dentist, I look forward to seeing her every time! Both Dr. Case and Dr. Farmer are very thorough and friendly. The office staff is always so nice and accommodating; and their ability to communicate via text is a definite plus for me and my schedule. And just when I think I've covered it all, I remember the amazing art from The Savage Way in the lobby?! This is the best experience to be had in a dentist's office in the most Plaza Midwood of vibes! 10/10!

I love this office. I've been coming here for over 6 years. Staff are great, and Dr. Farmer is an outstanding dentist. Staff does a thorough job on teeth cleanings, and Dr. Farmer is receptive to feedback and accommodating, such as when making adjustments to fillings. He knows what he is doing, plus he is a kind person who cares about his patients. Professionally run office. They are also good at working with my schedule and quick to get me off of the wait list for appointments. Highly recommend!
