As an oral surgeon, I am allowed to alleviate patients pain, restore their oral health and smile, and rebuild their confidence in their appearance. When they feel badly about how their teeth appear, or when they are in constant pain, patients are unable to fully enjoy life. My abilities to truly help an individual make my life and profession rewarding.
I thrive on the relationships I develop with each person I care for; we become more than doctor and patient, through our interactions, and our relationships are strong and long-lasting. When a patient brings a family member to me, or refers a friend, I am honored in the trust they place in me and my abilities.
I have served on the faculty at the UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco and was a staff member at Kaiser Medical Center in Oakland. I am continually expanding my knowledge of dental and oral surgery technological and treatment techniques through participation in meetings, seminars, and conferences. By keeping current with best practices, and continually honing my skills, I am able to provide my patients with the widest array of proven treatment options to satisfy their oral health and aesthetic needs.

I love that our dental team is so dedicated to providing professional, compassionate care to our patients. Each member is attentive to detail, supportive, and extremely knowledgeable. Watching them go the extra mile to reassure a reticent patient, to crack a joke with a child, to listen to a patients concerns without judgment and then provide the right information to help the patients through their worries, is amazing. I am responsible for administrative management of our practice, including employee management; I hire new personnel, and handle day-to-day supervision. I also handle our financial management, and marketing and advertising programs.
I have been married for over 30 years to my husband Bill. I love our blended family of six children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In my spare time, I enjoy playing the piano, sewing, golfing, and spectator sports. We are big fans of the San Francisco 49ers and are long-time season ticket holders.
Away from the office, I spend much of my time with my family and love being a parent. I work as a community organizer and direct a volunteer-based art program in order to improve public education for children in the Oak Grove School District.
I love forming relationships with my patients: teaching them how to achieve exceptional oral health, and then seeing them put into practice all that I have taught them. I know the difference that having a healthy mouth has, when it comes to complete body health. When patients are healthier, they have a better quality of life. Being able to help people in this way is very rewarding. Some of my job duties include performing dental prophylaxis, root planing, oral cancer screenings, and administering nitrous oxide. A lot of my time with patients is focused on education, to make sure they know how to keep their teeth and gums in good shape at home.
My favorite part about my job is working with people and helping my patients achieve optimum oral health through preventive and periodontal care. I am here to make sure each person has a comfortable, pleasant dental experience. I have the highest respect for our dentists here because they truly have your best interest at heart. Along with being some of the smartest people I know they also constantly seek out new techniques and information to increase their knowledge.

So disappointed that not only did Dr. Vierra retire, his staff of many years left as well. Great people I have been around for years and years. I'll give it some time, hopefully the new staff will be fine

Brought my 6 year old daughter for her annual cleaning. We ended up removing her two wiggly teeth which they consider and normal full extraction and charged me full price. And placed a sealant on her one adult molar. Despite being charged like a full on adult, my girl was treated well and the staff is super patient and kind, which is why I bring her.

I've been going to Plaza Dental since it opened. Dr Vierra was a great dentist. Unfortunately he retired. My dental care has been fine since the new dentist took over. My only complaint is that I was never notified of any change in staff. I'm old so I like to be aware of changes. Anyway they all seem fine.

They wasted my time and had inexperienced staff work I. My teeth without supervision. Read on for details. I had an appointment to have my teeth cleaned. They first had an assistant, unsupervised, floss and polish my teeth. I think it was the first time she ever worked on somebody. Then the Dentist came in and examined me. She said she was going to do my cleaning because the Hygienist had to leave early for a personal emergency. After she completed the examination, she said she would find a dental hygienist to finish the cleaning. About 5 minutes later, the receptionist came in and said it would be 15 minutes before the dentist would be available to finish cleaning my teeth. She gave me the option to wait or come back the following day. When I told her that they should have called me to reschedule the appointment when they became short staffed instead of waisting my time, she denied that they were short staffed and tried to blame the situation on me by saying I was 10 minutes late to the appointment. At best, I was five minutes late. She then started to make excuses after I told her that the dentist explained to me that they were short staffed. In the end, I left and I will never go back and I suggest the same for you.

This was my first time at plaza dental, and the experience there was amazing. Everybody made sure I was comfortable, from the front office to the back. They were extremely kind and friendly. They informed me about what was going wrong, showed me my X-rays right in the chair and didn't try to push any treatments on me. I highly recommend coming in for a cleaning and other treatments. You will not be disappointed. I finally found an awesome dentist office I look forward to going too.

Went to my appointment yesterday and got a tooth extracted. I was a nervous wreck and had the worse anxiety but ALL the ladies working the front and in back were just SO AMAZING! They are the most beautiful, friendly, professional, helpful, sweetest uplifting team ever! Dr. Evengalista too omg! He did my extraction and I had a very good experience. I freaked out for nothing haha anyway 10 stars and now I think they will be my regular dentist. Can't wait for my next appointment! (Before going to them I've would have never said anything like this hahaha)

I went in for a simple teeth cleaning and they were super inefficient and did a terrible job. I had to help with them for the computer and my hygienist had barely a clue as to how to use it. For a cleaning that normally takes about an hour to conduct, this one took the same amount of time except the official cleaning time was only about 20 minutes. Since ownership has changed this place isn't the same. I will not be returning.

This is bar none the greatest dental office in existence. Everytime I am there, there is laughter, and there is tears. The location is nestled innocuously away from the hustle and bustle of the city, keeping it safe from evildoers and villains. When you walk in, you are greeted fondly, as if seeing an old friend from high school after many years but it seems like its only been a day. The only reason you as a patient wait to be called is so that you can enjoy a dental friendly mimosa and revel in an ambience without equal. The music is fed directly into your mind through a computer system that can interpret your brain wave patterns and predict all of your favorite songs with 99.8% accuracy. From the devastatingly breathtakingly beautiful receptionists, to the stand up comedy of the dental assistants, and finally with the boldest and most courageous of dentists, you feel warm and cozy and safe during your entire visit. In truth, laying on a bed of kittens could not feel better than the euphoria of going to Plaza Dental. I can only hope to have a cavity so as to be there again soon, in my Shangri La...

Today, I had to go in for a fix of my permanent cap. The dental team was fabulous in taking care of my issue with a priority. I called and got an appointment right away. I am very happy with today visit. I've been going to this clinic for almost 23 years. Great team of people over there.

Plaza dental continues to deliver high quality service. My son and I had our appointment last week - same dental hygienists as before Suha andLee. Lee is still great with kids and Suha did a great job as always - Thorough and patient. Front office staff is new and competent. The doctors have very solid explanations and recommendations. All in all I am happy that I called them and confirmed that they are accepting Delta Dental and made the appointment. Very happy in spite of the changes.

I went in on an emergency basis with out of network insurance and the office staff was absolutely professional, understanding and patient assisting me with my insurance to get the visit covered. I suffered with an Infection for to long and the Dr was amazing he got the work done fast and safely. I feel so much better .

I did not have any issues with the doctor or dental hygienist. It was as good as can be. But the front desk failed to mention that they were out of network with my insurance. Usually in Other dental offices if they are not in network with the insurance company they mention it even before we book an appointment. I had to pay 200$ in total for both me and my daughter as the bill and quote was shown after the check up. It was routine checking and normal cleaning which is 100% covered by my insurance. When i later called them after coming home as i was still confused why i had to pay 10% for the routine services which i usually dont pay in Other places. The response provided was "we are not obligated to tell that you are out of netwrok you have to call and check with your insurance" this is the first time i am hearing of this!! Beware and check twice before going for an appointment!! Very disappointed with the way the insurance n billing was handled! Costly lesson learnt for me!!
