An Invisalign dentist can provide patients with a series of teeth-straightening aligner trays, which are ideal for those looking for a discreet tooth straightening option. Invisalign is a commonly chosen teeth-straightening option offered at Playa Vista Dental Care.

While most people invest in teeth straightening treatment for the uniform appearance they create, they can also benefit one's oral health. However, investing in various types of options will produce different results. As an Invisalign dentist, we can provide patients with a professional, efficient and customizable teeth straightening treatment.

Invisalign involves a series of clear plastic aligner trays that discreetly fit over the teeth. Along with being difficult to notice, they are easy for patients to remove when eating, brushing teeth, playing sports, taking pictures and more. As long as the patient wears the aligners for at least 22 hours a day, they can enjoy the versatility of Invisalign and avoid the frustration of traditional metal braces.

As an Invisalign dentist, our team straightens teeth using a series of aligners. First, an impression of your teeth is taken so that a series of aligners can be created in a dental lab. The aligners themselves are made out of a thermoplastic material that is strong and at the same time flexible in order to be comfortable when worn for long periods of time. The material is virtually invisible.

The aligners should be worn for 22 hours a day and every two weeks; they need to be switched out with the next one in the series. Over a period of months, the aligners will slowly move teeth into place, making one minor adjustment at a time that is targeted to specific teeth. This helps your teeth to be comfortable as they are moved into position at a manageable pace. Once you are done wearing your aligners, your teeth should be perfectly straight.

Some patients need to wear attachments or ridges in order to ensure that their teeth move into place perfectly. An attachment is a clear bump that is made of an enamel colored composite and secured to the teeth. Bumps on your aligners will grip them in order to hold the aligner in place. Ridges work in a similar way only an indent is created instead of a raised bump. This can be necessary for more complicated cases to ensure that a particular tooth, or several teeth, move into place like they should.

Unlike wearing traditional braces, Invisalign will not make a major impact on your quality of life. Since the aligners are clear, it will not impact your appearance. Additionally, since they only need to be worn for 22 hours a day, they will not interfere with eating. This is a huge advantage because you can eat your favorite plate of ribs, go out for a romantic date, eat a caramel apple without worrying about something becoming stuck in your teeth or a wire being pulled out of place. This time also allows you to take the aligner out when having an important conversation or making a presentation at work. Overall, this is a convenient way to straighten your teeth and provides the maximum level of flexibility.

Some people are concerned about whether or not wearing an aligner will impact their speech. Most of our Playa Vista patients tell us that they have to get used to wearing aligners after the first couple of days. Sometimes, patients have a slight lisp which goes away once they become used to speaking while wearing them. This is standard with any orthodontic procedure but fortunately; most people can speak normally within a couple of days.

The Invisalign system is comprised of custom-made aligners that help fix misalignments within the mouth. Similar to a mouth or dental retainer, aligners are used for orthodontic treatment as a technique to move and properly align teeth for a beautiful smile. These aligners are usually made with a mold of the patient's teeth through a

If your teenager requires orthodontic treatment, it's time to make some choices. Choosing between Invisalign and braces can be difficult; each treatment straightens teeth to improve not only a teen's smile but overall health.1. How does Invisalign work?Invisalign often looks like the plastic retainers that some teenagers get when a metal braces treatment is completed.

Clear braces can help you feel better about fixing your teeth because your whole treatment process will be somewhat hidden. If you have been thinking about getting braces but do not want to spend the whole length of your treatment with a mouth of metal, clear braces might be the best choice for you. While clear

When it is time to fix your smile, gone are the days when the only option was to get traditional metal braces. These devices can be quite bulky, and they are highly visible in the wearer's mouth. That can leave the person feeling even more self-conscious than before the braces were installed.Things are much different

AVOID AT ALL COST! The front desk staffs (Beatrice to name one) are horrible. I was made to pay the full cost up front for a procedure because the staffs refused to believe that I have insurance coverage. The procedure was done in February, and I did not receive the refund until July. Through which process I also found out they quoted much higher price for the procedure in the claim they filed to my insurance company. Why did the refund take so long? Anything they promised me to do, it took me two phone calls/emails to get an answer: to send me the procedure code, to request a pretreatment quote, to submit the claim, to follow up with the insurance company when there's an error... none of these are wildly out of their responsibilities. Every time I called, Beatrice would say she'll do things "right away", but it was never the case. It took followups after followups to get anything from her. She also would not let me finish a sentence, using "a call is coming in" to shut me up, or cutting me with "okay thank you" mid-sentence. I would've not interacted with her if I could, but that was the only way to move my case forward. When I expressed my frustration, Beatrice told me "this is what you get for having us submit a claim for this procedure." Pretty sure I was only getting a terrible service because I got the procedure done at THIS CLINIC. This place caused me so much headache and made me furious every time I think about it. I'd give it a negative if I can. Edit: Most of the things I did not get responses for did not require the insurance company. To tell _me_ the procedure code, to email _me_ the photos taken in the office, to _request_ a pretreatment quote, to _file_ a claim. I wasn't waiting for the insurance company's response. I was waiting for them to do it. Anyone who deals with this clinic knows that they're slow to act and impossible to predict. Now please don't shift the blame to the insurance company.

I should have written this review sooner. I had oral surgery in January. I was in bad shape and it needed to be done. There were deep cleanings and appointments to prep for my surgery. I scheduled the surgery on a Friday because I knew I would be down for a couple days. Dr. Levi reached out to me twice over that weekend to check in on me. Who does that? Dr. Levi does! The level of skill and genuine care I received was simply top notch.

I came in for a consult on a gaping hole on the left side of mouth after a pre treatment on a root canal. I have to say I was anxious. Dr. Soleil Levy worked on a 3 bridge crown in 2021 which I'm very pleased with. Dr. Levy does not waste time and got right to the root of the dental matter on hand. He discussed the pros and cons of specific dental procedures in depth and made solid recommendations on the best way forward with my treatment. Dr. Soleil and his team are highly patient focused which is a huge plus. He has a reassuring way about him which makes his patients feel they are in very capable hands. I especially like that this office has all the dental specialties under one roof. There will be no running around town for me in the future seeing various specialists. I have it all in one office! Thank you Dr. Levy and your dental team. I'm looking forward to my second dental bridge from your office! 5 out of 5 stars hands down.

I've have had extensive work done by Dr Soheil Levi. He is such a pleasure and always takes the time to figure out the best solution as well as explaining it to me. Thank you, Dr Levi for your amazing work. And, I can't forget Tara - she is the best - love you, Tara! The entire staff are so sweet. Beatrice has been there for a while and always takes care of me. I'm still getting to know some of the newer staff, but they are wonderful as well. I know 2 of the 3 hygienist - Holly & Linda who came over from my retired dentist, Dr Kevin McNally - all great! Thank you again - all of you.

Dr. Marcia and her team were very professional and attentive. I was so impressed with all the technology in the office and how they brought up x-rays and photos live so we could review together. As a first time patient, they really took time to get to know me and truly cared about my health. I will be a return patient :)
