Dr. Stearns is Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with advanced specialty training and multiple areas of expertise. After graduating from the University of Michigan in 1992 he went on to complete his dental training in 1998 at the University of Pennsylvania. At this time he chose to further his education, and received his MD in 2001, also from the University of Pennsylvania. He remained there for the next four years and focused on advanced specialty training in the field of oral surgery. Along with his residency, he also completed a one year internship in general surgery and 6 months in general anesthesia.
Dr. Stearns belongs to a number of prestigious organizations. He has earned the distinction of being named a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a fellow at the International Association for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Stearns has a strong interest in continuing education, and he also provides CPR certification to his colleagues and their staff. He has a large scope of expertise, ranging from dental implants and bone grafting to wisdom tooth removal.
Dr. Stearns has been practicing in central Colorado since 2007 and is extremely dedicated to the Colorado community. Dr. Stearns has unsurpassable knowledge and expertise along with sound surgical skills and judgment. When you are a patient of Dr. Stearns, you can rest assured you are in capable, caring hands.

Worst dentist I've ever been to. Non professional, arrogant, rude! I had a wisdom tooth pulled. No after care instructions. I highly DO NOT recommend him.

Dr. Steans and his staff are wonderful! My daughter did so well after her wisdom's teeth where removed! He has the most wonderful aftercare schedule that really aided in her recovery!

Dr.Stearns and his team are incredibly professional and pleasant. Each person I have had the pleasure of meeting has been upbeat and positive, highly knowledgeable and patient with my questions. Implants are a big deal. I trust mine with Platte Valley Oral Surgery

I went in to see Dr. Stearns for a tooth extraction. His office is well run and if you are needing this level Of dental work done, I highly recommend Dr. Stearns.

This is the best doctor. I had my four wisdom teeth pulled had no problem at all. I highly recommend this doctor he even prescribed medication before surgery. Before going to doctor Jeffery I had the worst experience at other places but going here it was the best decision I ever made. I have been recommending people to go to here because of how clean and friendly the staff is.

I had my wisdom teeth removed last summer and it was the best thing I could have done. Everyone was so kind and helpful and very fair price (out of pocket). I couldn't recommend them more!

I highly recommend Dr. Stearns as a dental surgeon. Dr. Stearns, his assistants, and the front desk staff were both professional and thoughtful. Dr. Stearns clearly laid out my options, which were different and more complex than I'd realized. There were procedures that had to be done, and others that were optional. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE CHOICES WE MADE, AS WELL AS THE COST AND RESULTS OF MY SURGERY! Dr. Stearns is VERY highly qualified, or my dentist would not have referred me. What I appreciate about Dr. Stearns (and my own dentist, Dr. Gary Hagen) is their ability to explain something complicated without talking down to me. I'm so happy I was referred to Dr. Stearns, and relieved 2 wisdom teeth were removed with no problem!

My 100 year old father-in-law had 2 molars and a wisdom tooth that were un-savable and needed to be removed. Dr. Stearns did a great job at a fair price.

It's been about a month since I've had the remaining 3 wisdom teeth removed with Dr. Stearns after putting it off for forever. He kinda irritated me a little at first. I have a phobia about being put to sleep/surgery and I explained that to the assistant an she was extremely understanding (LOVE HER) (WISH I REMEMBERED HER NAME) and said that we would talk to the doctor when he came in. I explained to Dr. Stearns when he came in and he wanted to know what my concern was with being sedated. He wasn't necessarily sympathetic to my situation and explained why they highly recommend people being put under. (THIS IS WHY I WAITED TO WRITE MY REVIEW. I WANTED TIME TO REFLECT AND WRITE A HONEST REVIEW WITHOUT ANY FEELINGS OR EMOTIONS INVOLVED) I held my ground and assured him I could handle it. I seriously almost left. When he started his demenor changed. He informed me of everything he was doing and kept making sure I was comfortable and not in any pain. After everything was done he said I did fantastic (WHICH I ALREADY KNEW LOL) and was suprised that I did it. They have been awesome with letting me make payments as well. I will be taking my teen here to get his wisdoms pulled as when its time. Follow up went great as well and the entire staff is honestly FANTASTIC. Thank you guys so much for everything all of you are AMAZING!!!!

Had my wisdom teeth removed. I brought the amount of money they told me to bring. One month later they served me papers saying I owed them more money and tried to take me to court over it.

They were all very friendly instead of paying my bill up front they are letting me pay for it over a six month period I felt very comfortable with Dr.Stearns I would highly recommend him

it worse than us I've ever had messed up tooth implant number 5 and there was always pain after I had the implant number 510 and 3 years later completely fell out talk to you soon as 6 Dr running a bit the end news
